Game: D&D 5e Group type: Online (Primarily use Discord) Experience: New Location/Timezone: UK GMT Schedule: Wed, Saturday and Sunday Roles sought: DM Game style: Casual (Light Roleplay)
Me and my 3 friends (so 4 players) are very interested in playing D&D, however, we're pretty much brand new so we'd have to learn (relearn in some cases) the majority of the rules (again) and will probably need help making characters (stats and whatnot). In terms of the Game Style we'd like it to be light roleplay, but that doesn't mean that the story has to be a casual thing (serious themes or whatnot), but that's something that'd probably be discussed as a group first.
VTT I would assume Roll20? Saw a lot of that with World of Io and it looks great, though of course if another VTT system is preferred, we can discuss that as a group.
Hey there! I'm an experienced DM that loves to help new players learning the ropes of the game and I would like to make two proposals:
I'm starting two Paid ($10) long-term campaigns in the next couple of weeks if your group would be interested in a professional experience.
As an alternative, I could run a short self-contained adventure (3 to 5 sessions) for your group for free, so you all can have a hands-on experience with the game.
Let me know if you and your friends would be interested in any of those options. Unfortunately because of those two paid games I can't dedicate myself to a free-to-play long-term campaign. In either case I wish you all good luck!
Hello, I am interested in potentially DMing for your group but there are some minor details that I would like to iron out to make sure that we would be a good fit. Most importantly is the fact that I would be new to the role of a DM (I have only run about 4 one shots to date) but I am very familiar with the rules of both 5e and OneD&D. For about two years now I've been playing 4 separate games every week, with a mixture of both lax rules and evil DM-esque behavior.
I'm confident that I will be able to easily teach your group the ropes whether you are interested in a one-shot or a long term campaign. If the above interests you then please send me a DM and we can discuss this in further detail! It would be an honor to be given the chance for all of us to learn and grow together.
I have a homebrew classic style adventure that is fun and easy to play. I can DM a well-paced mix of RP and combat DND game in an hour and a half. Ideally looking for 3-4 adult players who can meet weekly.
