I have been DMing for a long time and I really love it. I am also a working professional with kids and can only play about once a month, but I want the sessions to be epic and amazing. The focus will be on storyline, but we will definitely have exciting combats and interesting villains.
My preference would be to find adult players who like both playing and DMing so we can eventually swap DM positions from time to time. I use Roll20 and I LOVE homebrew playtesting, both my own creations as well as anything you might want to try out at the table. This campaign will be focused on scouts, rangers, and adventurers guarding a kingdom's border from the constant threat of creature from the wilds and larger hordes of creatures who might already be on the move.
Positives: Discord, Roll20, turning your camera on (for eye contact, etc.), the ability to make it to a monthly game without flaking at the last minute!
Negatives: One-trick pony characters (start with a picture then flesh it out with a story, THEN pick abilities.)
Likes: Rogues, Rangers (we can use homebrew and UA options to boost), Paladins, Fighters, Wizards, Warlock melee builds. EPIC characters. Brooding characters. Serious backgrounds. Storytelling and character development.
Dislikes: Barbarians, Warlock ranged builds, Artificers, Sorcerers (I like the research element of wizards, but maybe a few levels of sorc). I'm not dead set against any of these, but I tend to hate them.
Willing to entertain: Homebrew subclasses, blood hunters, or even some of the classes I dislike as long as we talk it out what the world.
