Looking for players (4-5)

I’m a new dm who’s looking for players who are willing to work with me. I don’t know a whole lot but I know a decent amount. I would like to do a mix of campaigns and one shots, preferably starting with a one shot.

id be interested. do you plan on using a vtt and something for vc?

I can use zoom, discord, and/or google meets for vc. As for vtt, I can use it but do you have any good websites or apps I could use for that?

I hope I'm not too late. 

I'm an experienced player, still learning how 5e works compare to all the other TTRPGs and versions I've played in.  I was looking for another campaign to play in since I'm running two myself.  I don't have a fixed character in mind, rather I would play the utility character that might not be the first pick for someone else.  I also have long since gotten past the min-max must have the biggest badass phase of playing and enjoy the challenge of playing the odd duck combos like a Goliath Artificer based on Buddy the Elf, or the kobold or hobbit moon druid that is the bezerker grizzly bear in combat, or maybe the micro swashbuckler or arcane archer.  Even a warforge life or peace cleric maybe. .... depend on what roles are left after the other folks pick something.  Because you have gotta have a trap detector, you gotta have a healer, a tanky tank / crowd control, and maybe a generic arcane caster that can adapt to the different circumstances.I'm pretty sure the ranged and melee DPS roles will be taken.  I can also work with pregen character as needed.  As much as I enjoy running games, there is still a lot of fun just being a PC in one.  Depending on when you want to play, I would like to toss my hat in the ring.

I like playing Rules as Written (RAW) but I'm open to homebrew rules that are reasonable or make sense for the world where the campaign is being played.  I'll try to only offer DMing advice and comments when asked.  although I might screw that one up from time to time.
