This will be a classical adventure from lvl 1 to 5, somewhere in the middle between sword & sorcery and high fantasy geared towards newer and new players. I will provide the tools (a VTT and discord server) and all the knowledge you need to start playing!
Although I prefer DMing in German, English is okay too.

Game style: I am a 35 yo DM (he / his) who has finished 2 campaigns and stopped playing more due to scheduling issues. I want to polish my DMing skills, and maybe my english skills on top of that. I think LMoP is a great start if you want to get to know dnd 5e, and I will run it with a little bit of adjustment to accomodate for your characters and their backstories and to fix some of the flaws it has (at least in my opinion).
The game will be played in FoundryVTT with discord. We will play on battlemaps for fights and dungeon crawling, theatre of the mind with accompanying background pictures for the rest. And ambience and music for all of it.

The game will focus more on the experience. It is story focused, and while giving you options it will not be a complete sandbox. I will make sure your choices and characters really matter though, and not in a PC-game kind of way. I will provide adequate difficulty for the party and individual players. My goal is that you will feel like you really had a great time and an adventure at the end, not a number crunch math game or improv theatre experience.

I consider taking this into account absolutely neccessary when playing with strangers. Talk to me for specifics. Feel free to discuss any trigger topics with me and I will make sure to take special care in that area, aka avoid completely or approach them with the care you want from me. This can be done at any point in the campaign or session, more on that in session 0 or when you ask me about it (X, N, O cards). Dont worry. Oh, and of course LGBTQ+ friendly. Though I do not want to make a big deal about all of this, it needs to be said once and then be done with it. :)
A quick note on the veil on racism and slavery: Some consider this an important aspect to the backstory for their characters, for example racism towards Tieflings or the character background of an escaped slave. This can be discussed.

Day: No idea yet, depends on players since I am free pretty much whenever at the moment.
Time: Evening GMT+1, when people are home from work and have relaxed a bit. 19:00 to 20:15 start
Runtime: 3 hours per session, not for too long, especially if on weekdays. Special sessions like finale maybe longer and maybe on a different day of the week, depending on players.
If games are Friday/Saturday from 19:00 gmt+1 I’d be very interested. That makes it 6pm for me (uk) which would fit perfectly on 3 hour sessions since I would have time to get home from work to play, and would be free in time for other obligations at 9:30 (10:30 gmt+1)
I'm English speaking but if that’s not a problem I’d be eager to find out more.
