Game: D&D w/e edition Group type: Online Experience: Mostly new Location/Timezone: EST Schedule: From monday night to thursday night - w/e fit our DM Roles sought: DM Game style: W/E our DM wants
Hi all! We are a little group of newbie who want to try DnD for the first time. Most of us are over 30's and we just want to do some casual play to relax while drinking a couple of beers with friends. Our playstyle is going to be balance between role play and fight I guess., Since we don't know the rules, our DM can do w/e it wants with us.
We would like to have a DM to show us the ropes of DnD. A DM that can improvise has we do shenanigans and can deal with our crazinest.
I might be interested. I played D&D back in the 80s then left it for many years. Recently I was playing for about a year with a tabletop group in Philly. The group was a lot of fun. We were an older group (40s and 50s) with families, jobs, and other life commitments. We met about once every 2-3 weeks for about 4 hours per session, usually Tuesday or Wednesday evenings.
I am interested in DMing. I have years of experience with D&D but none so far with running a campaign. I prefer a story based campaign with some tactical combat mixed in. A good brawl every session or two keeps the campaign lively. There is a lot of preparation work that goes into running a good campaign. It's a lot like writing a novel or designing a video game. You need good characters and a well thought out story. I have a full time job and a family so I couldn't manage more than one session every 2-3 weeks. I'm based in FL now so it would be weekday evenings EST.
