Game: D&D 5e Group type: Face-to-face Experience: Olde Tyme DM (1st, 3.0/3.5) but first time with 5e, played since 1979 off and on but not at all in the last 19 years before this game. Location/Timezone: Philadelphia area (specifically Bridesburg)/Eastern Timezone Schedule: Flexible scheduling, adjusting weekly or bi-weekly depending upon work schedules. Roles sought: Looking for up to 4 players (as currently have 1 maybe player). Limited living room space so no more than 4 more. Game style: My DM style is more roleplaying than anything else. There's a story, always, but lots of room to 'forget to take that left turn at Alberquerque' going in an unexpected direction. I will admit my weakness is running combat.
Current game is/will be:
max HP to keep bad die rolls from crippling someone's character.
flexible party composition.
new to D&D players getting preference over jaded veterans.
a sense of humor helpful.
surprises.
dialogue-heavy NPCs (storytelling > combat.)
mature players & DM.
Reviving an old campaign I ran that began in the World of Greyhawk setting 22+ years ago. It all begins in the town of Beetu...
Spelljammer setting currently, and using a mix of the old and the new.
Don't assume that things will be exactly as RAR.
Living room is set up as a perminent D&D gaming area.
With most encounters, brute force will not be the answer. You have been warned.
If you get stuck in game, call for character die rolls or ask for further help. Keeping quiet will not be helpful for anyone.
UPDATE 04/20/2026:
Current group has fallen apart and players quit after 3 years, so open for either continuing with new players and characters or a 'soft reboot.' The campaign went from the Gnatmarsh on Oerth into Spelljammer wildspace and back.
My 'maybe player' is roommate who will likely commit once there will be D&D again.
You should add that your group is LGBTQi Friendly, you have a gaming space and that you are an experienced DM with 40+ years of Exp. Also, tuning up your profile would help too.
We are still going but scheduling has reduced our game time to mostly every other week on Sunday (12 noon to whenever, typically 8 PM, with a pizza break around 4:30-5:00 or so.) This is whenever a majority can make it here.
Roommate has also begun an Eberron campaign.
The campaign has evolved from a party of 2nd level new characters exploring around a wilderness fortified inn, to other towns and areas around the Gnatmarsh, to now mid-level party spelljamming in Greyspace.
We do have space at the table for two more players.

I'm interested in joining if you have any available spots open. I also live in the Philly area, close to Manayunk.
I'm free to join games Sundays (all day), Tuesdays after work (After 6:30pm), Wednesdays (my day off), and the occasional Saturday (after 6)
I am interested in hearing more and how I could fit in with one of my characters.
I will message you with my Discord.
Thank you for the consideration.
Phylor? His game is In Person only.
