I'm looking for 4-5 players for my first online campaign. I began DMing in January and currently have only run in person games with friends and family so this will be my first online game. I plan to start at level one and run a long game past level 10+. Time zone is US Central Standard Time, UTC-6. Open to weeknights or weekends.

I am familiar with Icespire Peak and Mines of Phandelver and am currently running a heavily modified version of Icespire Peak for my in-person group. I like to use module material as a starting point and build the story from there with the players. In our seven sessions, I think we have spent less than half that time actually doing module material. 

I like a more serious, mature, story focused game with lots of action, loot, player choice and consequences. Expect moral quandaries and tough choices. Character backstory will absolutely be a part of the game, and player choices will impact the world around them in ways they may not even be aware of until later. No railroads. 

I'm not a rules stickler and am very open to homebrewing w/e to suit the tastes of the group. 

For platform, I am currently familiar with DnD Beyond and Discord, and use Owlbear Rodeo for battle maps. Other game details to be ironed out later as far as time, dates, etc. I will have content sharing through Beyond and own the Player Handbook, Xanathar's, Tasha's, Fizbans, Sword Coast AG, Descent into Avernus and Icespire Peak.

Sure, I’d be interested in playing. I really enjoy the world building aspect of the game and prefer a more mature/serious game. Not that I don’t appreciate silliness, it’s just that my last campaign was a little to goofy. Central Standard Time, UTC -6. I am more flexible on weekends (as most people are naturally), however weeknights are a possibility as well, especially if we can do a 7 or 8 pm cst start time.

Agreed. There will always be silliness and whimsy in a DnD game. But I like moments of serious drama mixed in there too.

As for playstyle, I tend toward mentor types, though if I make another version of my OC. "Amythyst", my head will implode. My game style choice is for a broad-brush stroke, incorporating a little bit of everything.

Not really. It’s going to be level one, exp leveling, probably start around phandalin. I’m still figuring out my style. I don’t have a set way of doing things yet.
