I DM a game every other Sunday from my home that starts at 4:30 pm CST and runs to 10 pm, but lately we have had trouble actually getting everyone to show. I am looking for a game that I can sit on the other side of the table and play that is consistent on when they meet.
I don't care if it is a new group or an established game that needs another player. I just missing playing and the comradery of being in a group.
I don't have an issue playing any class/race, though I have been pretty consistent with clerics and druids and the healy types but not opposed to other classes.
I just really want to play. :)
I'm in CST and willing to work with other time zones. The only times I'm not available is every other Sunday after 4:30 pm (when I can actually get everyone to show).
Please note: I am 51 years old. If you are uncomfortable playing beside or DMing someone as "old as your mother" don't bother. I may be older than the typical LFG person, but I still enjoy the game and play like anyone else.
I have a d&d discord server that both you can join, I am just now starting to run consistent games as a matter of fact. The main software I use to run games is FoundryVTT (which only the DM needs to own) and am open to different playstyles. I guess the only main thing to be noted is that the only homebrew used are homebrew monsters, but even that is preferred to be done within the reason of balance. The server typically has a "west march" playstyle but I am not opposed to official adventure modules or homemade campaigns.
I share your pain. The hobby just attracts people who have issues committing to things.
A previous DM dealt with that in what turned out to be an effective way. If you missed 3 in a row or X over Y amount of time. You were out, no if's or but's. And she followed through. Not something that will sit well with everyone and there was some early churn. But the result was it was rare that everyone wasn't there after the "filtering".
If you've got the inclination for that it does seem to work.
The other thing I've noted is that if you're prepared to enter a P2P game, the players are much more reliable, though I don't fully understand why.
I am a new DM with a couple new players in the group. We just started an online modified version of the dragon of icespire peak campaign running Mondays at 11:00 cst and have one open spot. If that sounds like something you’d be interested in joining you can message me at snax2695 on discord.
Wow, that was a read. I feel ya. I'm a 58 yr old Forever DM. I have FREE games on Thursday evening, Saturday afternoon, and Sunday afternoon. It sounds to me like you'd be a perfect fit for the 'Peren's Caravan' campaign that runs on Saturdays. It's a tight group but we recently lost a player for reasons unknown. Any class is welcome except for Melee guys (We have too many now) and I don't allow Changelings/Shifters. If this works for you, my Discord is at the bottom of this message (Don't forget the GM/DM part). Let me know.
P.S.: All times are EST, and since I have a few players across the pond, I get the frustration with variable time zones.
I welcome you, and anyone else who passes through this thread, to come and check out the world I've helped to create!
We've been opening and running for over a year. We have 10+ staff members and moderators. We run daily quests, offer biweekly VTT sessions, have frequent in-game events and contests, and we offer crafting, jobs, training, reputation, and guild systems!
I am not sure if you found a game, but my guild is looking for at least 2 more players. We play every sunday at 6:00 pacific time and are about to start a new campaign. We play through our discord using the camera to see facial reactions. I know you have another game and I may be bad at timezones but I think that means we start at 8 your time so you may be able to make it if you want a DND full sunday :P
Hey there friend, Im running a paid to play campaign, looking for couple of players as I did have two bow out due to life, but have been a solid game every week for last 2-3 weeks =)

If you are to join there are helpers who can show you around the server's channels (myself included).
