Welcome! I go by Pegasus DM and I'm a professional Dungeon Master and freelance designer. I have been creating worlds since I was a kid, and once I learned about Dungeons and Dragons, it was a dream come true! I have been a DM and player in multiple campaigns and one-shots so whether its a custom game, or a module, I am the DM for you. I specialize in helping new players get their footing and introduce them into the wonders of Dungeons and Dragons.
Last we saw our brave heroes, they defeated the mighty Sparkrender, who was possessed by a dark energy that shed darkness. The battle was tense as Sparkrender used the building walls and line of sight as cover. Once the party managed to lock him a darkness filled the room, making it hard to hit him, but Conan’s insane skills kept him from escaping as the rest of the party whittled away at his hit points. In an insane moment, Shava grabs one of the orbs surrounding him and crushes it in her hands, taking away a source of his lightning armor and gaining it herself. Cardelle with a brilliant divine strike finished off sparkrender… However… in those dying moments Caramella wanted to save Sparkrender. Using her channel divinity to bring him back from the brink, but his eyes were missing something… a soul. Aidron and Elder Runara arrived and Elder Runara worked with Caramella to bring Sparkrender’s soul back to his body with a series of fantastic rolls. The 3 dragons took the party back to Dragon’s Rest for a well deserved… rest. As a reward Elder Runara gave each of them a Dragon’s Mark to signify their help towards the Dragon’s Cause, a fairly unknown symbol because very few are given the honor.

The party arrives at the docks of Neverwinter, seeing the 3 floating land masses off the coast chained to the mainland. Cardelle sees a hooded man seeming suspicious and goes after him while Conan makes out another white hooded figure that is trailing the former and follows. The trail leads to the Chasm district where they discover a meeting between the black hood and a strange looking ghoul. They engage the pair discovering even more ghouls, swiftly defeating them all though and capturing the hooded human, Rennik and the strange ghoul. Neither gives much information, but the party learns that the Chasm district has a sealed scar where undead come out and have been offering power to those who join their cause, usually by bringing a tainted khyber crystal. The party also meets Chancer, who works for The Lord Protector’s personal unit and shows the party around the town. They turn Rennik into the Hall of Justice and go SHOPPINGGGG. Rennik is tried and convicted for prison time by the Magistrate Elithor Silvermantle. Froth goes to the Driftwood Tavern to get some information and discovers that the Lord Protector may not be the savior of the city as the public voices seem to imply. The rest go to the Beached Leviathan for a night of celebration and hear about some rumors of Dragon and Orcs at Thundertree that have killed a fairly skilled party (4-6 members of at least lvl 3) and missing adventurers that were sent to Phandalin as their first party adventure. Later that night Conan hits on Cardelle and she immediately throws up on him beginning…. Something. Caramella gets all the dogs well fed and housed in the equestrian buildings. Now the party is on their way to the Tower of Magic and Sorcery!

Last we saw the Twilight nights they had collected their necessary equipment and met with an unknown wizard part of the Tower, writing his thesis on Khyber crystals. The research assistant he had sent to Phandalin was no longer responding, but he suspects the encroaching orcs and dragons near Thundertree to be somehow tied to a Khyber crystal. He offers the party 10g each upfront to investigate this issue, offering an additional 50g for any information and 100g for bringing back a crystal. Even offering a restricted magical weapon from the stores below. After an unsuccessful attempt to get more Linnette stumbles and the wizard sends his apprentice Kona to watch over them. Once the party arrives in Thundertree they meet Froth’s mother Farah, who fed them and let them stay at her house (the largest and nicest house in the area). The Mayor has been paying tribute to the dragon and the soldiers are far and few after the multiple orc raids. The party is unable to meet with the mayor who is constantly locked in the Town Hall room and instead go to Butterskull ranch, a location where orcs had recently taken over as a temporary stronghold. After clearing out all the orcs the party and rescuing the owner of the ranch, Alfonse Kalazorn, they raid the basement, finding the owner’s secret stash of gold (the party does not reveal this and instead blames it on the orcs). Alfonse is quite against going back to Thundertree and is not very inviting to the party, but he ends up cooking a meal for them under Linette’s supervision and agrees to leave the next morning when he realizes he has no funds to hire guards.
Last we saw the Twilight Knights they had headed towards the Woodland Manse to follow the trail of Orc invaders. On their way they went to the Hunter’s Lodge where they learned that the Ranger of the lodge had left to warn nearby villages of the Orcs heightened activity in the area. Once they arrive at the Manse Conan and Froth stealth to try and get information on the area. During this the rest of the party becomes known as Caramella walks stumbles into the window and locking eyes with a half orc performing a ritual with a stone at the center of the room. She back away and the Manse goes on high alert. Caramella gets spotted trying to stalk around the Manse initiating an escape attempt. The party succeeds on the skill checks as Cardelle goes back into the room to get the stone. She tears it from the floor boards and escapes with Shava that busts through the wall with OB-Wan. The party escapes back to Thunder Tree and prepare for the creatures to follow. At first a few boars arrive, but after one gets past the guards and runs around the area Ankegs come from underground and pull Cardelle into the ground and a wave of orcs and twig creatures rush into Thundertree. The half orc she recognized from early comes in to steal the stone as the party deals with the wave of monsters. They try to chase, but the half or escapes and most of the monsters leave once their mission is complete. During this process though Captain Edmar is killed by a Thunderbolt cast by the half orc during the escape. The party licks their wounds and recovers in preparation for what is to come. The next morning the Mayor come to thank you and give information he has recently found out that may help.

Last we saw the Twilight Knights, they had fended off the raid on Thundertree. Major Jacke informed the party that his research on ways to stop the dragon have yielded only a dragon slaying artifact left behind in the story Lady Tanamere Alagondar, a royal scion of Neverwinter more than a century ago. She killed the black dragon Azedraka that had long terrorized the High Road, but perished with many of the people who fought in the battle. She was laid to rest with her sword, but there are mysteries around her relationship with the previous Lord of Neverwinter and the stories around the magical sword only she could wield. The group is notified of loggers where they encounter and kill a group of Ankegs and Conan misty steps onto an escaping Half orc that jumped into the river delivering a finishing blow. They find Tibor Westor that gives them the layout of the Woodland Manse to aid them in their 2nd attempt to raid the manse. Linette makes Conan invisible as he sneaks in to surprise and engage Grannoc while Caramella creates a distraction at the door. .They are able to take the crystal, and kill Grannoc as Orcs rushed from everywhere to engage the party.
Last we saw the twilight knights, they were in the midst of combat with a dozen orcs, half orcs and boars trying to retrieve the Khyber crystal that Conan and Caramella had stolen from Grannoc. The party was able to defeat the boars and orcs, but as they moved in to kill the last remaining half or, decided to escape after seeing dozens of vine and twig creatures begin coming from the tree in the courtyard and forest. During the escape Linnete throws oil and lights it on fire to attempt to burn the house down and delay any retaliation from the remaining forces. After returning to Thundertree, the party rests and Mayor Jacke reminds them of the story of Lady Tanemere who was the last of her dragon slaying House. Rumors say that the sword could not be wielded by the Lord of Neverwinter and so he buried it with her entombed with her fellow fallen comrades and sealed so nobody would be able to utilize the weapon again. Once arriving at the marked location, the party finds a secret entrance where they meet a wisp that tricks Caramella into grabbing a dagger that paralyzes her. When Conan and Cardelle attempt to drag her out, they tripper a pressure panel that causes a collapse and have to dig her out of the rubble before she suffocates. They name the wisp George as he gets them to also open a booby trapped sarcophagus that bursts out noxious fumes when Linette opens it. Then, the party makes their way to the North chamber where they find the sword and engage with an invisible enemy. Caramella casts light on the creature revealing its location to the party allowing them to strike effectively. Once the invisible stalker was defeated, the invisible stalker and the divine sword taken, dust fell from the walls as the entire burrow began to shake. The sound of clattering of bones echoes through the halls and a chilling shriek came from the chamber as the bones begin to assemble and form. The party is able to escape the barrows as bone claws rip through the dirt and a burst of dirt flies up into everyone as a huge dragon made from the bones of the chamber bursts from the collapsing earth. ROLL INITIATIVE.
The players are in a dire situation. They could really use the help and would make for an awesome introduction! Hope to see you tomorrow (:

Last we saw the Twilight Knights they were facing a bone dragon that was digging itself from the depths of the memorial sight as it was caving in. Although the dragon was able to down 2 members of the party immediately, Caramella’s healing was able to bring them back up. While avoiding the collapsing buildings Shava was able to dispel the spectral wings keeping it able to fly, allowing the party to slay it in melee and retrieve a longsword that was tied to the school of necromancy. They then went back to Thunder tree to find the rest of the guards murdered by a single assassin and Mayor Jacke’s left forearm cut off and bandaged. While the party was away the assassin had confronted the mayor about his “band of heroes” wreaking havoc in the area and causing issues at the Woodland Manse. They payment to the dragon was now brought up to today, and he took Froth’s mother Farah as preliminary payment. The party go to the dropsite early and are able to engage so quickly that Conan and Cardelle took out the dragon born before he had a chance to act and killed a dozen followers of the dragon. The party retrieved some robes and a mask, while getting information out of caster Oolaku. Following his direction they arrived up river by a cave entrance where the dragon’s supposed layer was. Linnete managed to coax the lookout over and kill him silently with a single strike. Giving the party a short window to enter secretly.

Last we saw the Twilight Knights they lay in wait outside of a cave opening preparing to engage the Green Dragon Venomfang. They overhear that kidnapping and corrupting Farah is part of a request by someone named Genos who helped organize the Orcs too. After a little deliberation, they decided to run in and engage the cultists at the base as they saw Froth’s mother Farah unconscious and chained. On sight, Venomfang took to the concealed dark shadows of the stalagmite riddled ceiling, striking them and having them drop on the party. Shava managed to free Farah and lift her onto OB Wan and the rest of the party were able to kill Virin. As the party rushed to escape, they clumped at the entrance and Venomfang descended from the darkness to blast EVERYONE with his breath weapon.Downing half of them and even OB-Wan. Cardelle saved her, but stopping to save the owlbear proved dangerous as Venomfang grabbed her in his claws, screeching at the party to trade the prisoner (Farah) for their companion Cardelle. The party escapes and rushes Farah all the way to Neverwinter and find go to the Tower of High Sorcery to find a cure. They take her to the “hospital” where they take her in a week recovery costing 350g. They also go to Kona to receive their reward. “The Professor” gives them a list of what is currently in the Tower for sale and will see what he can do if they provide him an item they desire. It will take at least a week to require though as rare magic items are not common. Finally they hear rumors of another adventuring party that also just got back from Phandalin having cleared out a group of bandits and an entire castle of bugbears and goblins. They are praised by the people as Lord Neverember has rumored to given them an invitation to meet with him. The Twilight Knights, interestingly enough, have also gotten an invitation to meet him at the Neverember estate in the Blue Lake District within the next few days. The party is now in the dilemma as they must decide to go back to save Cardelle, meet with Neverember, or find the this mysterious party to aid them.

Last we saw the Twilight Knights they had just come back from a near deadly encounter with the green dragon Venomfang. After getting back to Neverwinter they prepared to set out the next day to go save Cardelle, but were surprised to find her returning to Neverwinter as well with the Ranger Falcon. Falcon had been trailing Venomfang since the attack on his lodge and saw the party enter the lair only to retreating nearly dead and Cardelle taken as prisoner. He says he waited until nightfall when Venomfang left to finalize his new lair to infiltrate and release her. As a good omen they find that the city is preparing for a festival to celebrate the rebirth of the city and Lord Nevermebers great work in doing so. They spend the day exploring the city, going on dates, and acquiring information about a mysterious group working behind the scenes in Thundertree. Early the next day, they meet with Lord Neverember who thanks them all for their service in protecting the city and it’s interest. He hopes the party will take care of it and the rest of the orcs before they become a problem for the city. To show his thanks he gives each of them a free voucher for a game festivity and sends them on their way giving them 3 requests. Deal with the Dragon and Orcs near Thundertree, clear Castle Never Dungeon (the last bastion of Neverwinter that needs restoring, and to figure out the cause of problems and deaths that still plague the Chasm District despite the rift being sealed. The party spends the rest of the day celebrating with the city though playing games and watching plays as Shava interestingly hears rumors of a dark side of Lord Neverember. With their preparations complete and revenge in their eyes. The party tracks Venomfang to his new layer… someone helped him create and build out this new lair… but who… or what? With those thoughts they enter a cave with footprints leading in and out showing a lot of creatures have traversed this entrance and go into whatever awaits them.

In the last session we saw the Twilight Knights enter Venomfang’s lair. They encountered a horde of goblins that rushed them once the ambush was thwarted with a fireball from Shava to start the encounter. They were flanked by a patrol, a giant spider with goblin riders, archers from perches, and a goblin boss all attempted to take out the party, but they stood no chance. Once they killed them all they walked to the back to find a female goblin trembling in fear. She says Venomfang keeps her hostage to use the goblins as minions to make the lair. As the party steps across the river covered by a layer of fog a green scaled head peaks above the water to blast the front of the party with a poisonous gas knocking out Conan and Linnette. Caramella and Cardelle are able to bring them both up as Venomfang comes out to engage them. THeir supposed ally Falcon, who they notice is not being very helpful or being attacked very often during the charge in this moment betrays the party and goes to attack Shava with advantage. She is able to dodge out of both attacks and cast mirror image on herself in time to protect from any further attacks. Venomfang downs more of the party and Falcon attempts to keep swinging at Shava to no avail. Bloodied, Venomfang blows another poison breadth and attempts to escape flying towards the opening in the ceiling of the cave. Conan rushes after him with his potion of flying and misty step to get in range swinging twice cutting a gash into his side. Blood pours from the wound onto Caramella straight below. She looks up next to go seeing Venomfang 40ft in the air and Falcon behind Shava prepping for another strike against her… what will she do?

The session began with the intense mid air battle between Venomfang and Conan as the party hurled spell attacks. Although Froth managed to strike Venomfang once, everyone else missed… Caramella even got a very rare double nat one, followed by a 2. Venomfang manages to escape from the ceiling opening blood pouring out all over and heavily wounded shouting that he will exact his revenge and even Neverwinter is not safe for the party. They exit the cave to see the entrance is ambushed by a group of thieves and bandits that ask for a tax of half their treasure, but the party decides to escape back into the cave to prepare to fight them as they leave. Cardelle sets up an Alarm spell that goes off a few hours into their rest. They wait and realize that nobody is coming in that they know and continue their rest. Surprisingly when they leave to the entrance the group outside left with a note specifying that they know where they live and will be coming for their treasure when they least expect it. When they return, Lord Neverember is disappointed to learn that The Twilight Knights were unable to kill Venomfang and were not able to finally rout out the orcs. On the other hand, the Hero Party was being praised and paraded for reclaiming the Wave Echo caves, which is said to have been an old forge for magical weapons… now claimed by Neverwinter. They sell most of their goods and Caramella gets her anti-paralysis gloves. With a desire to finish their mission they go back to rid the forest of Orcs and discover that the tree at the woodland manse is gone and moved. They track it to a large hill, atop of which a ritual is taking place with 2 more half orc casters. On their way they are able to decimate an entire patrol of orcs, expending some resources, but arrive mostly prepared. Linnette lights a fire to draw the attention of the creatures, but as they move closer they gesture for a vine creature to come out of its tree and check it out. Conan kills it in one turn, but combat has now been initiated. Carmella has held one of the half orcs with “hold person” and the other has been beaten back by Conan. A storm cloud has been forming above them, lightning sparking across the sky in a more concentrated fashion as it spirals towards the center att the top of the hill.

The last we saw the Twilight Knights they were engaging a group of twig and vine creatures led by 2 half orcs as the cloud filled with lightning and thunder. Kona appeared briefly and cast a protection dome around them, notifying the party that he saw the storm clouds forming at the top of the mountain while scouting for Venomfang and the Black dragon rumored to be in the area. He also passed on a message from the Professor that the kyber crystal they had brought back was supposed to be used as a summoning catalyst. WIthout it the summoning will be severely weakened. Research also indicated that they were summoning a deity of lightning, even weakened initially it would be able to grow in strength if they did not kill it now. Suddenly, The half orc shot a lightning streak into the sky as its dying action to quicken the summoning ritutal, and Gorthok the Thunder Boar appeared at the hill peak, immediately charging at the party with sparks of lightning arcing to nearby party members. Shava calls for a retreat as the twilight knights attempt to escape, bolting through the woods. Caramella hides in an open alcove, but gets trapped. Unfortunately the party fails with 3 failures and 2 successes causing Gorthok to catch up and engage the party. With solid coordination, the party is able to defeat Gorthok and take his hide for Conan. Having now cleared out the half orcs the party makes it back to Neverwinter for the meeting of the Guilds. Lord Neverember explains that the predicament in Neverwinter is becoming dire and action must be taken. He places 5 wooden slabs on the table outlining each of the major issues threatening the city with rewards to “dealing with it”. To the South is the White Dragon that has cut off trade routes with Waterdeep and Phandalin (8000g). To the East are Black and Green dragon sightings (10000g). Within the city the Chasm has begun seeping out mist forcing the city to evacuate the district once more (5000g). Finally, a secret mission that involves a magic item they will be able to keep once completed (5000g). Then he awards each of the major guilds and adventuring parties, the most memorable being: The Masters of Ironn (Plat), The Keepers of the Mirror (Plat), The Hero Party (Plat), and the Twilight Knights (Gold). The Twilight Knights desire to finish what they started and take on Venomfang one last time. Sir Victor snaps the tablet in half an hands them the Green Dragon portion, saying that they will split the 2000g for the green and 8000g for the black. The Keepers take on the White Dragon quest, the Masters of Ironn take on the secret quest, and 2 other gold parties join up to split the Chasm District quest. With this, the major problems are to be addressed and all the smaller guilds that were given certificates of their rank offered up their services for small portions of money. The Twilight Knights put out a quest for acquiring Venomfang’s location and another for clearing out the smaller monsters and low level annoyances in the area to the East to make a clear path for the party. The groups begin to disperse as the party prepares to take on Venomfang one last time.

Last we saw the Twilight Knights they conversed with the other guilds before getting some rest and to take care of preparations for the next day. As they are about to walk into their rooms, a strange portal opens above them and an elf face plants into the floor next to them Cardelle, Shava, and Caramella go shopping and meet Sir Victor Lancaster with Arwen to get their custom garbs made. He offers up his Plat discount to pay for half of the double layered robes as a congratulation on their Gold ranking. They decide on one side iridescent white, and the other a black with moving purple swirls similar to the Milky Way Galaxy. During this time Linette and Shichi went around the city singing praises of the Twilight Knights. Their fame is now on par with that of the Platinum rank adventurers. The next day the party goes to the auction house realizing that many of the party items are too expensive. They are able to buy a few minor wondrous items, but are priced out of most things. During this time Cardelle and Shichi notice that the Gilded Heirs are buying things left and right, drinking and having a good old time in the booths. They take the initiative and start flirting with them, convincing them to buy them the ring of shielding (1 charge) and Bracers of archer in exchange for a group 5 + 5 date between the Gilded Heirs and the Twilight Knights the following day. Whether they intended too or not the party ran into some unexpected events. Shichi and Froth were ambushed in an assassination attempt on their way back to the Tower of High Sorcery that night. When they arrived to tell the rest of the party Kona bangs on their doors notifying Froth that there was also an attempt on his Mother’s Life. Fortunately the High Healer was able to jump in the way to protect her, but even with the other hospitalized patients attempting to subdue the assassin he dealt with almost all of them and escaped. They arrived at the scene to find many severely wounded and dead patients with blood splattered everywhere and chaos. The party sees a rope just barely sticking over the edge of the castle wall. When they bolt up to investigate they only see a boat off in the distance somehow moving against the current of the water. Kona catches up to them at the base of the wall shouting that one of the patients was able to slip a unique coin into the assassin's garbs during the struggle and Kona tied his “Locate Object” spell to a compass to guide the party. They could follow now, or wait till daybreak for when they are supposed to get information from their contracted parties on the location of Venomfang. The party wastes no time and immediately set out to find the culprits. They catch up to a fork in the road where they see a bandit patrol group. When Shichi goes to investigate he finds a hidden archer and combat begins. They dispatch of them easily

Last we saw the Twilight Knights they dispatched the bandit scouts. While searching for anything in the area they find a manhole that leads into a deep dark tunnel, with just a bit of light peeking out the bottom. They go into combat immediately as they trigger the bear trap at the bottom. The party rescues members of the Dawnbreakers and pushes through the spiked spear trap and bridge, slaying enemies as they go. The bandits tried to slow them down by cutting a bridge, but the party got across to find an eerie silence waiting for them with a lone dog. The dog barks and as Caramella plans to go in, a well trained warrior charges at her. She manages to bob and weave to dodge most of it as 3 hidden archers peak over the edge of an opposing rafter. Shava fireballs them, killing them instantly. The party then easily dispatches the final warrior after he fights to the death. The party takes a short amount of time to search the area and collect treasure until they come across a gate along the internal stream that seems to lead to the outside. Recalling that they heard footsteps in water before arriving on the scene they go out to investigate to find. A well dressed and battle ridden merchant with cloaked guards. The man introduces himself as Chel-ig and initially asks the party to hand over what they have stolen and leave, offering to leave things as even after this. The party declines and a tense conversation ensues as more of the party filter out of the cave. Chel-ig changes his direction and concedes, saying he will let them go if they leave peacefully now as he does not want to fight back off to the right to allow passage. The party and the Dawnbreakers (who are unarmed and unarmored) hug the wall face keep their eyes locked on Chel-ig as they hear the sound of cloaks from above, but its too late. Two assassins jump down from the high cliff edge, landing next to them, immediately killing all members of the Dawnbreakers. The fight is not looking good as members of the party keep going in and out of consciousness. Froth attempts to trap some of them by chugging a potion of flying and dropping a pile of rocks from his bag of holding onto them; however it looks grim. We arrive back as Shava is unconscious in the cave 30ft deep, Shichi carries an unconscious Carellamella, Linnette and Cardelle in position to escape and Froth flying in the sky. The moment is tense, everyone is on their last leg and we are starting the round with Chel-ig.

Last we saw the Twilight Knights they narrowly escaped the assassins and Venomfang. Froth risked his life going back in to save Shava that was being taken by the assassin and Chelig. He manages to give her a potion and they kill the two that followed them in a last stand, barely making it out alive. Outside the cave, Caramella and Shichi are captured as Linnette and Cardelle escape into the forest, resolving themselves to save them later. After they see Venomfang arrive and fly away with the prisoners the scattered and dismayed party meet back to find a note daring them to come to get their friends back with a marked location another half day NE. The party decide to go to the location even though its most likely a trap. They run into the Hero Party that was on their way to track the Black Dragon and met the ranger party that notified them of Venomfang’s strange behavior with the Black Dragon and give them the location of the lair, which matches the location the Twilight Knights have. They all go to the obvious trap and Froth tries to sneak around while Sir Victor Lancastor distracts Venomfang. Unfortunately, the walks into a trap by the assassins. He immediately flies up to try to escape as Venomfang quickly chases after him with a breath weapon attack. He survives with 1HP!! Getting to safety as Venomfang lands next to Shichi. Froth looks back in time to see him grin at him and crush Shichi’s head. The party enter a skill challenge as all hell breaks loose as everyone runs in. The Black Dragon Lyzag comes out of the acid pits to drag Sir Victor Lancaster, Woodgil and Medias into the acid. Cardelle, Linnette and Cardelle make it across to save Caramella, but she has no armor or weapons. Venomfang confronts them as they attempt to escape. Caramella and Froth rush out and with a perfect Guiding Bolt, Caramella is able to distract Venomfang long enough for Arwen to get Linnette out. In the scuffle Caramella only had a chance to grab one thing and chose the whistle, making sure the party was able to reunite with Sesal and OB1. Once making it back to Neverwinter the party notices chaos in the streets and damaged buildings with black and acid and poisonous decay. Chancer finds them and brings them to The Lord’s Castle where they are confronted with a furious Lord Neverember and guilds. Apparently the city was in an all out war with the monsters seeping out of the Chasm, but just as the tide was turning in their favor, Venomfang and Lyzag appeared resulting in a retreat. The city has lost the Chasm district once again and most of the forces are spending all their energy and resources keep the Chasm district contained. Resources thin and the blame on the Hero Party and Twilight Knights Lord Neverember screams to have them kicked out once he hears about their failure, but as Caramella is being dragged away she informs the guilds and Lord Neverember that they were able to snatch dragon candy from the head assassin during their scuffle. She proposes they use it to bait the Black and White dragon to fight each other so that even their weakened forces can kill the survivor. Lord Neverember believes them incompetent and orders her to hand it over for them to use and plan, but she insists it has to be them. Sir Victor Lancaster supports her and with a nat 20 persuasion Lord Neverember concedes to her plea for cooperation as they need all the manpower they can get to make sure this is a success. The party spends the rest of the time planning for what is sure to be the biggest showdown in their career.

Last we saw the Twilight Knights they were finalizing the plan with the rest of the guilds and leaders of Neverwinter to bring the two dragons together to fight. The plan was decided and the Twilight Knights with the Hero Party were tasked with drawing out the Black Dragon from his lair toward Phandalin in 5 days. During this time the other guilds will evacuate the city and replace them with adventurers and soldiers to draw out the white dragon Cryovain for his meal and offerings. The food will have obvious markings of the Black Dragon’s acid to cause a conflict and worst case they will hide explosives underneath to detonate if a fight breaks out. As the party leaves the castle chambers they are confronted by the Gilded Heirs who demand their bracer and ring of shielding back. They convince Linnete to make a contract to pay them back 2000g after they complete the mission to save Neverwinter. The Gilded Heirs on the other hand are leaving Neverwinter by supply boat that is arriving in a few days, planning to pay for passage or the boat outright before shit hits the fan. Linnette does notice that the leader of the Gilded Heirs has a pact glove, where a minor curse will befall the party that breaks the contract. A party of adventurers also stop by their quarters at the Tower of Magic and High Sorcery to tell them that not all people blame them for the situation. Conan had told amazing stories while drunk of the great things the Twilight Knights have done and made the people promise to take care of and defend his friends when he left. They are actually fans of the Twilight Knights and have compiled a book of their adventures requesting to hear the other parts of the stories from the party members. Linnette spins an even more amazing story through song of their great accomplishments and all, but Froth signed it. On their way to the Black Dragon’s lair Shava gets an uncomfortable feeling as they approach a bridge. They stop the cart as it goes onto the bridge and disperse just to make sure things are okay. Linnette walks down to the bank and sees underneath a bridge a huge green scaled beasts with yellow eyes looking directly back at her. The combat began as Venomfang charged and grappled Linette into the air while simultaneously, a horde of the remaining orcs, twigs, and half-orcs charged them. The Hero Party held the line yelling for the party to cross over the bridge and disperse before Venomfang can get everyone. Linnette escapes with a Misty Step, but Venomfang nearly knocks out 3 party members with his breath weapon. He is determined to finish their feud here and now. The fight is fierce as Cardelle almost got blown off the bridge and the party even forgoed some of their turns to save Arwin and Doreah. The assassins nearly killed them but Cardelled tackled one of the bridge with and a few spells and crossbow bolts killed the other before the final strike. It was none other than Cardelle with the dragon slaying battle-axe that got a natural 20 and smited on top of it to finish off Venomfang. Everyone was injured and recovering, but decided to push on because time was of the essence. They arrived at the lair after 2 days' travel and decided to take a short rest outside of the lair. Cardelle sets up her alarm spell at the entrances and exits of the lair, and the party sleeps among the trees. After 4 hours Cardelle is awoken by her silent alarm. She peaks through the gaps in the leaves to see the enormous head of an adult black dragon pushing through the wall of vines.

Last we saw the Twilight Knights they saw the huge black dragon Lyzag leave his lair in search of something showing disgust, destroying one section of the cave and covering the other with acid. They enter the cavern completely filled with darkness and unable to see even with darkvision. While searching Cardelle accidentally trips an alarm beacon that sends a magical pulse, which Shava notices and the party decides to rush in while they have the chance. They rush through and Cardelle + Froth are able to find the treasure pile. WIth only a minute they shove in as much treasure and gold as they can before Arwen gives the signal at the entrance of Lyzags return in view. The party rush out just in time to get to their carts as the Hero party take the dragon candy and the Twilight Knights take the treasure. We enter a skill challenge as the chase begins! Things started off rough with two failures and 1 success, resulting in Lyzag crushing the cart to force the party to finish the second half on horseback. The party do well, getting to a final roll, one success means they make it to Phandalin, one failure meaning that Lyzag catches up to them. Unfortunately Froth and Caramella fail as Lyzag descends upon them crushing the horse they ride. Chaos erupts as they throw the amulet they used to tempt Lyzag into a well and scatter. Lyzag barely takes any damage as he knocks out multiple party members before recovering the amulet and making it to Phandalin; however, at this point Cryovain is skeptical of the situation and tells him to leave her domain while she feasts. They both get the feeling the mortals are planning something, but care little as they do not think it will matter as long as the two do not fight. Cryvain does warn though that even if she doesn’t win against Lyzag if he stays to infringe on her territory she will weaken him enough for the mortals to finish him off. Lyzag is upset, but is here only to retrieve his treasure and find the people who led him on a 3 day chase to finally kill them now that he knows why they brought him here. He will take the dragon candy and his treasure as his prize for killing some “pesky mortals that dare attempt to toy with him.” As he leaves the Guilds of Neverwinter realize that now is their only chance and must at least try to kill Cryonvain, igniting the explosives hidden below the feeding ground and throwing everything they have at her. She emerges from the smoke annoyed and barely injured laying waste to the land below with an ice breadth that covers half the town. Some people stand frozen in place while others have difficulty moving towards her. They manage to land a few nets and harpoons to keep her from leaving, but who knows how long that will last for. Even seeing this, Lyzag scoffs at her troubles and turns back towards the direction of the party looking for them with every sense at his disposal. Lyzag glares in the direction of the Hero’s, his golden eyes fixed on the sole goal to find whoever dare insult him, and rip them apart… limb by limb.

Last we saw the Twilight Knights they were on the edge of town with Lyzag walking towards them, he slowly walked towards them as the party decided to make a break for it. Shava ran off with OB1 to grab his attention and then cast fly on herself to engage Lyzag. She was able to hit him with massive spells, but was sent reeling in the sky from a tail attack midair. Lyzag darted towards the rest of the Twilight Knights. They split up in an attempt to lose him. Cryovain has frozen the city square with her breath weapon making it a hazard as Lyzag goes after Froth who draws him in a long loop straight into Cryovain. They swat at each other, but Lyzag remains focused on Froth. At the same time Cryovain is hit with a chained ballista bolt that penetrates her scales drawing her into one of the buildings. She unleashes her frost breath clipping again Lyzag, who also uses his breath weapon to decimate the Neverwinter forces. The remaining forces jump onto Cryovain from the building tops while Lyzag tears away at the building Froth is in. With little time remaining Sir Victor Lancaster delivers the finishing blow to Cryovain and charges at Lyzag who prepares another breath weapon attack. In this critical moment Froth lands a critical strike against Lyzag nearly killing him. Anger blazing in his eyes he charges Froth swearing to at least take Froth with him, knocking him unconscious with a strike and then tail swiping Linnette against a building when she tries to help. Caramella in desperation knowing she will not reach Lyzag in time heals Lancaster who barely managed to survive the Lyzags last breath weapon and urges him to save Froth. With everything on the line Lancaster manages to skewer Lyzag against a building, slaying him once and for all. As the dust settles the Twilight Knights manage to raise their unconscious members and meet up with the rest of the surviving troops. Lord Neverember lives with very few of his personal guards. Every guild and party took major loses and maybe only in every 20 troops made it out alive. Most still lay injured or recently resurrected. The Hero party suffers Heian’s lose who could not be revived in the 1 minute time frame for revivify and lay deceased in Arwen’s hands. In the Aftermath the recover begins to rebuild Neverwinter and Phandalin. Lord Neverember offers everyone who contributed a reward from the dragon’s treasure hoard, but needs to save most of the major treasure and gold for rebuilding. Every one of the Twilight Knights either gets 1000g or a single magic item of value 2000g or less. They can combine their rewards for better ones. In addition the party can get two items made from the body of either dragon. And there is where we left with the pile of treasure before them.

Last time we saw the Twilight Knights, they had just defeated not just a black dragon but assisted with killing the white. Lord Neverember praised everyone for their effort and made sure to express his sorrow for the fallen. Froth had some visions from the amulet they stole from the dragon involving giants, unsure of what it means he informs the group. When everyone had a chance to recuperate, he rewarded each group handsomely and even a promotion for the Twilight Knights! During that meeting with Lord Neverember, Froth and Linette made their way to the black dragon’s cave to grab loot before others got to it. As they make their way back, Caramella announces to the rest of the group her desire to stay in Neverwinter and help rebuild. With a tearful goodbye to everyone, she heads off to assist in the clinic. With plenty of time on their hands, Froth spends his time rebuilding the thieves guild, Linette traveled around the city playing music for the people, Cardelle went husband hunting and Shava spent some time with her beloved. During their time spent resting in Neverwinter, a familiar face appeared in Caramella’s room. The very friend she went adventuring to save, came to be by her side. Merric Maplewood, and looking quite worse for wear. They catch up a bit and she promises to introduce him to the rest of the Twilight Knights after taking him shopping for some gear. The next day she loads him up with gear while sending out letters to meet up to Twilight Knights and the Hero Party. When everyone in at the meeting spot, she explains the situation and introduces everyone to Merric. Everyone asks a question or 2 but welcome him, making sure to let him know that they try before trust.
After a while of managing the thieves guild, Froth requests a private meeting with Lord Neverember. Cardelle and Linette decide to tag along and Neverember lays out an entire dinner spread to discuss their business. Froth tells him about his plans with the thieves guild and asks for assistance. He agrees and provides 3 contracts to start leaving them to enjoy their dinner. Froth decides to assign 2 contracts to the thieves guild and to keep one, informing everyone they’re needed to clear a building for renovations and find information on dragons. Everyone agrees to go and they head on their way. When they arrive, they see a 4-story building, alot of it in ruins, with scaffolding on the side going up to the 3rd floor. They decide to split up, Froth and Merric heading up the scaffolding while Cardelle, Linette and Shava go through the main entrance. AS Ground team goes inside, they see no one but a few satchels. Shava begins to rummage through them until she hears Froth’s voice saying, they’re here to investigate, not to take things. She decides to leave the packs alone while Cardelle hears a spooky voice exclaiming that this tower is in fact haunted and decide to head upstairs.
Meanwhile on the ascent team, Froth and Merric make their way up to the second floor. They see an odd statue and upon closer investigation notice a magic circle seemingly carved with a dagger into it’s back. There’s some draconic symbols on it as well but neither of them can decipher it, they begin to rummage through the books to attempt to find info but find nothing of worth. They hear some suspicious noises but as they look down the hallway they spot the rest of the party. They regroup and investigate the rooms, finding similar statues in each of the 4 rooms with varying degrees of fractures. They search more bookshelves together but still unable to find anything beneficial. Before heading on they decide to try and mend one of the statues, as Shava reaches out to cast her magic everyone takes their stances in case of hostility.
Her magic reforms the cracks from the damage and in doing so the statue immediately comes to life swinging it’s weapon to attack. Moving quickly Merric rushes to Shava’s side, grabbing her and teleporting away to prevent any injury, Cardelle, Linette and Froth attacking to hopefully put it down quickly. It attacks back but seems to be relying on sound only. Cardelle quickly takes notice and attempts to sneak around but with her heavy armor is unable to stay quiet enough to avoid taking hits. As everyone continues to trade blows with it, Froth stomps his feet while on the scaffolding, luring it over and the scaffolding creaks with the weight of it. Shava casts shatter causing it to form cracks and Merric lunges a dagger into the cracks to make it fragment even more. As Froth continues to take hits luring it even more onto the scaffolding, everyone does more damage while keeping their distance. The statue creature continues to deal blows to Froth eventually knocking him unconscious and it turns towards the rest of the party. Merric throws the last 2 daggers finishing off the creature, as it slumps over the scaffolding gives and itself and Froth begin to fall. Thinking quickly, Merric leaps towards Froth grabbing him and misty stepping back onto the tower and gives Froth a potion to awaken. The party watches the scaffolding completely crumble and see lights in the distance.
They decide to take a quick short rest to regain their energy and then move on to the upper floors before they get caught. Froth and Merric move up quietly past the 3rd floor and on the 4th they find a man scribbling into a book, speaking to himself about telling the people. Froth quick to exclaim, “Tell the people what?” The man is extremely hesitant to reveal anything, clearly worried about informing the wrong people. Linette decides to step in and quietly casts friends on him to make him more relaxed. He eagerly hands over his journal of scribbles telling her about the war between dragon and giants. He continues saying that now that the dragons are gone, there's nothing stopping the giants from reining chaos and death upon the land, stating they have to find a way to stop them or else everyone is doomed. Linette reassures him they’ll find a way and for now to leave the tower with the group as she hears the noises of townspeople climbing the stairs.
Everyone descends from the tower using a nearby rope pulley system and leaves in the darkness of the night just in time for Cardelle to hear one of her suitors. He sounds bewildered and upset as he exclaims that he used all his savings for the tower and shouts for everyone to find who did this. She slips away quickly, disappointed he lied about having money. Unfortunately, when the group returns to their room, the friends spell wears off. The man becomes upset, knowing that a spell was used on him and gets extremely flustered. They try to calm him down and reassure him but instead, a spirit floats out of him and soars away. Everyone stands there shocked as his body slumps down, now empty. Froth hurriedly pours some alcohol on himself and the body, carrying it over to a nearby tavern. He makes loud comments pretending to be a drunk carrying their friend home before placing his body near a tavern. Everyone else converses, trying to decide what to do next. What will happen next with the Twilight Knights?

Last we saw our brave heroes, they defeated the mighty Sparkrender, who was possessed by a dark energy that shed darkness. The battle was tense as Sparkrender used the building walls and line of sight as cover. Once the party managed to lock him a darkness filled the room, making it hard to hit him, but Conan’s insane skills kept him from escaping as the rest of the party whittled away at his hit points. In an insane moment, Shava grabs one of the orbs surrounding him and crushes it in her hands, taking away a source of his lightning armor and gaining it herself. Cardelle with a brilliant divine strike finished off sparkrender… However… in those dying moments Caramella wanted to save Sparkrender. Using her channel divinity to bring him back from the brink, but his eyes were missing something… a soul. Aidron and Elder Runara arrived and Elder Runara worked with Caramella to bring Sparkrender’s soul back to his body with a series of fantastic rolls. The 3 dragons took the party back to Dragon’s Rest for a well deserved… rest. As a reward Elder Runara gave each of them a Dragon’s Mark to signify their help towards the Dragon’s Cause, a fairly unknown symbol because very few are given the honor.

The party arrives at the docks of Neverwinter, seeing the 3 floating land masses off the coast chained to the mainland. Cardelle sees a hooded man seeming suspicious and goes after him while Conan makes out another white hooded figure that is trailing the former and follows. The trail leads to the Chasm district where they discover a meeting between the black hood and a strange looking ghoul. They engage the pair discovering even more ghouls, swiftly defeating them all though and capturing the hooded human, Rennik and the strange ghoul. Neither gives much information, but the party learns that the Chasm district has a sealed scar where undead come out and have been offering power to those who join their cause, usually by bringing a tainted khyber crystal. The party also meets Chancer, who works for The Lord Protector’s personal unit and shows the party around the town. They turn Rennik into the Hall of Justice and go SHOPPINGGGG. Rennik is tried and convicted for prison time by the Magistrate Elithor Silvermantle. Froth goes to the Driftwood Tavern to get some information and discovers that the Lord Protector may not be the savior of the city as the public voices seem to imply. The rest go to the Beached Leviathan for a night of celebration and hear about some rumors of Dragon and Orcs at Thundertree that have killed a fairly skilled party (4-6 members of at least lvl 3) and missing adventurers that were sent to Phandalin as their first party adventure. Later that night Conan hits on Cardelle and she immediately throws up on him beginning…. Something. Caramella gets all the dogs well fed and housed in the equestrian buildings. Now the party is on their way to the Tower of Magic and Sorcery!

Last we saw the Twilight nights they had collected their necessary equipment and met with an unknown wizard part of the Tower, writing his thesis on Khyber crystals. The research assistant he had sent to Phandalin was no longer responding, but he suspects the encroaching orcs and dragons near Thundertree to be somehow tied to a Khyber crystal. He offers the party 10g each upfront to investigate this issue, offering an additional 50g for any information and 100g for bringing back a crystal. Even offering a restricted magical weapon from the stores below. After an unsuccessful attempt to get more Linnette stumbles and the wizard sends his apprentice Kona to watch over them. Once the party arrives in Thundertree they meet Froth’s mother Farah, who fed them and let them stay at her house (the largest and nicest house in the area). The Mayor has been paying tribute to the dragon and the soldiers are far and few after the multiple orc raids. The party is unable to meet with the mayor who is constantly locked in the Town Hall room and instead go to Butterskull ranch, a location where orcs had recently taken over as a temporary stronghold. After clearing out all the orcs the party and rescuing the owner of the ranch, Alfonse Kalazorn, they raid the basement, finding the owner’s secret stash of gold (the party does not reveal this and instead blames it on the orcs). Alfonse is quite against going back to Thundertree and is not very inviting to the party, but he ends up cooking a meal for them under Linette’s supervision and agrees to leave the next morning when he realizes he has no funds to hire guards.

Last we saw the Twilight Knights they had headed towards the Woodland Manse to follow the trail of Orc invaders. On their way they went to the Hunter’s Lodge where they learned that the Ranger of the lodge had left to warn nearby villages of the Orcs heightened activity in the area. Once they arrive at the Manse Conan and Froth stealth to try and get information on the area. During this the rest of the party becomes known as Caramella walks stumbles into the window and locking eyes with a half orc performing a ritual with a stone at the center of the room. She back away and the Manse goes on high alert. Caramella gets spotted trying to stalk around the Manse initiating an escape attempt. The party succeeds on the skill checks as Cardelle goes back into the room to get the stone. She tears it from the floor boards and escapes with Shava that busts through the wall with OB-Wan. The party escapes back to Thunder Tree and prepare for the creatures to follow. At first a few boars arrive, but after one gets past the guards and runs around the area Ankegs come from underground and pull Cardelle into the ground and a wave of orcs and twig creatures rush into Thundertree. The half orc she recognized from early comes in to steal the stone as the party deals with the wave of monsters. They try to chase, but the half or escapes and most of the monsters leave once their mission is complete. During this process though Captain Edmar is killed by a Thunderbolt cast by the half orc during the escape. The party licks their wounds and recovers in preparation for what is to come. The next morning the Mayor come to thank you and give information he has recently found out that may help.

Last we saw the Twilight Knights, they had fended off the raid on Thundertree. Major Jacke informed the party that his research on ways to stop the dragon have yielded only a dragon slaying artifact left behind in the story Lady Tanamere Alagondar, a royal scion of Neverwinter more than a century ago. She killed the black dragon Azedraka that had long terrorized the High Road, but perished with many of the people who fought in the battle. She was laid to rest with her sword, but there are mysteries around her relationship with the previous Lord of Neverwinter and the stories around the magical sword only she could wield. The group is notified of loggers where they encounter and kill a group of Ankegs and Conan misty steps onto an escaping Half orc that jumped into the river delivering a finishing blow. They find Tibor Westor that gives them the layout of the Woodland Manse to aid them in their 2nd attempt to raid the manse. Linette makes Conan invisible as he sneaks in to surprise and engage Grannoc while Caramella creates a distraction at the door. .They are able to take the crystal, and kill Grannoc as Orcs rushed from everywhere to engage the party.

Last we saw the twilight knights, they were in the midst of combat with a dozen orcs, half orcs and boars trying to retrieve the Khyber crystal that Conan and Caramella had stolen from Grannoc. The party was able to defeat the boars and orcs, but as they moved in to kill the last remaining half or, decided to escape after seeing dozens of vine and twig creatures begin coming from the tree in the courtyard and forest. During the escape Linnete throws oil and lights it on fire to attempt to burn the house down and delay any retaliation from the remaining forces. After returning to Thundertree, the party rests and Mayor Jacke reminds them of the story of Lady Tanemere who was the last of her dragon slaying House. Rumors say that the sword could not be wielded by the Lord of Neverwinter and so he buried it with her entombed with her fellow fallen comrades and sealed so nobody would be able to utilize the weapon again. Once arriving at the marked location, the party finds a secret entrance where they meet a wisp that tricks Caramella into grabbing a dagger that paralyzes her. When Conan and Cardelle attempt to drag her out, they tripper a pressure panel that causes a collapse and have to dig her out of the rubble before she suffocates. They name the wisp George as he gets them to also open a booby trapped sarcophagus that bursts out noxious fumes when Linette opens it. Then, the party makes their way to the North chamber where they find the sword and engage with an invisible enemy. Caramella casts light on the creature revealing its location to the party allowing them to strike effectively. Once the invisible stalker was defeated, the invisible stalker and the divine sword taken, dust fell from the walls as the entire burrow began to shake. The sound of clattering of bones echoes through the halls and a chilling shriek came from the chamber as the bones begin to assemble and form. The party is able to escape the barrows as bone claws rip through the dirt and a burst of dirt flies up into everyone as a huge dragon made from the bones of the chamber bursts from the collapsing earth. ROLL INITIATIVE.

Last we saw the Twilight Knights they were facing a bone dragon that was digging itself from the depths of the memorial sight as it was caving in. Although the dragon was able to down 2 members of the party immediately, Caramella’s healing was able to bring them back up. While avoiding the collapsing buildings Shava was able to dispel the spectral wings keeping it able to fly, allowing the party to slay it in melee and retrieve a longsword that was tied to the school of necromancy. They then went back to Thunder tree to find the rest of the guards murdered by a single assassin and Mayor Jacke’s left forearm cut off and bandaged. While the party was away the assassin had confronted the mayor about his “band of heroes” wreaking havoc in the area and causing issues at the Woodland Manse. They payment to the dragon was now brought up to today, and he took Froth’s mother Farah as preliminary payment. The party go to the dropsite early and are able to engage so quickly that Conan and Cardelle took out the dragon born before he had a chance to act and killed a dozen followers of the dragon. The party retrieved some robes and a mask, while getting information out of caster Oolaku. Following his direction they arrived up river by a cave entrance where the dragon’s supposed layer was. Linnete managed to coax the lookout over and kill him silently with a single strike. Giving the party a short window to enter secretly.

Last we saw the Twilight Knights they lay in wait outside of a cave opening preparing to engage the Green Dragon Venomfang. They overhear that kidnapping and corrupting Farah is part of a request by someone named Genos who helped organize the Orcs too. After a little deliberation, they decided to run in and engage the cultists at the base as they saw Froth’s mother Farah unconscious and chained. On sight, Venomfang took to the concealed dark shadows of the stalagmite riddled ceiling, striking them and having them drop on the party. Shava managed to free Farah and lift her onto OB Wan and the rest of the party were able to kill Virin. As the party rushed to escape, they clumped at the entrance and Venomfang descended from the darkness to blast EVERYONE with his breath weapon.Downing half of them and even OB-Wan. Cardelle saved her, but stopping to save the owlbear proved dangerous as Venomfang grabbed her in his claws, screeching at the party to trade the prisoner (Farah) for their companion Cardelle. The party escapes and rushes Farah all the way to Neverwinter and find go to the Tower of High Sorcery to find a cure. They take her to the “hospital” where they take her in a week recovery costing 350g. They also go to Kona to receive their reward. “The Professor” gives them a list of what is currently in the Tower for sale and will see what he can do if they provide him an item they desire. It will take at least a week to require though as rare magic items are not common. Finally they hear rumors of another adventuring party that also just got back from Phandalin having cleared out a group of bandits and an entire castle of bugbears and goblins. They are praised by the people as Lord Neverember has rumored to given them an invitation to meet with him. The Twilight Knights, interestingly enough, have also gotten an invitation to meet him at the Neverember estate in the Blue Lake District within the next few days. The party is now in the dilemma as they must decide to go back to save Cardelle, meet with Neverember, or find the this mysterious party to aid them.

Last we saw the Twilight Knights they had just come back from a near deadly encounter with the green dragon Venomfang. After getting back to Neverwinter they prepared to set out the next day to go save Cardelle, but were surprised to find her returning to Neverwinter as well with the Ranger Falcon. Falcon had been trailing Venomfang since the attack on his lodge and saw the party enter the lair only to retreating nearly dead and Cardelle taken as prisoner. He says he waited until nightfall when Venomfang left to finalize his new lair to infiltrate and release her. As a good omen they find that the city is preparing for a festival to celebrate the rebirth of the city and Lord Nevermebers great work in doing so. They spend the day exploring the city, going on dates, and acquiring information about a mysterious group working behind the scenes in Thundertree. Early the next day, they meet with Lord Neverember who thanks them all for their service in protecting the city and it’s interest. He hopes the party will take care of it and the rest of the orcs before they become a problem for the city. To show his thanks he gives each of them a free voucher for a game festivity and sends them on their way giving them 3 requests. Deal with the Dragon and Orcs near Thundertree, clear Castle Never Dungeon (the last bastion of Neverwinter that needs restoring, and to figure out the cause of problems and deaths that still plague the Chasm District despite the rift being sealed. The party spends the rest of the day celebrating with the city though playing games and watching plays as Shava interestingly hears rumors of a dark side of Lord Neverember. With their preparations complete and revenge in their eyes. The party tracks Venomfang to his new layer… someone helped him create and build out this new lair… but who… or what? With those thoughts they enter a cave with footprints leading in and out showing a lot of creatures have traversed this entrance and go into whatever awaits them.

In the last session we saw the Twilight Knights enter Venomfang’s lair. They encountered a horde of goblins that rushed them once the ambush was thwarted with a fireball from Shava to start the encounter. They were flanked by a patrol, a giant spider with goblin riders, archers from perches, and a goblin boss all attempted to take out the party, but they stood no chance. Once they killed them all they walked to the back to find a female goblin trembling in fear. She says Venomfang keeps her hostage to use the goblins as minions to make the lair. As the party steps across the river covered by a layer of fog a green scaled head peaks above the water to blast the front of the party with a poisonous gas knocking out Conan and Linnette. Caramella and Cardelle are able to bring them both up as Venomfang comes out to engage them. THeir supposed ally Falcon, who they notice is not being very helpful or being attacked very often during the charge in this moment betrays the party and goes to attack Shava with advantage. She is able to dodge out of both attacks and cast mirror image on herself in time to protect from any further attacks. Venomfang downs more of the party and Falcon attempts to keep swinging at Shava to no avail. Bloodied, Venomfang blows another poison breadth and attempts to escape flying towards the opening in the ceiling of the cave. Conan rushes after him with his potion of flying and misty step to get in range swinging twice cutting a gash into his side. Blood pours from the wound onto Caramella straight below. She looks up next to go seeing Venomfang 40ft in the air and Falcon behind Shava prepping for another strike against her… what will she do?

The session began with the intense mid air battle between Venomfang and Conan as the party hurled spell attacks. Although Froth managed to strike Venomfang once, everyone else missed… Caramella even got a very rare double nat one, followed by a 2. Venomfang manages to escape from the ceiling opening blood pouring out all over and heavily wounded shouting that he will exact his revenge and even Neverwinter is not safe for the party. They exit the cave to see the entrance is ambushed by a group of thieves and bandits that ask for a tax of half their treasure, but the party decides to escape back into the cave to prepare to fight them as they leave. Cardelle sets up an Alarm spell that goes off a few hours into their rest. They wait and realize that nobody is coming in that they know and continue their rest. Surprisingly when they leave to the entrance the group outside left with a note specifying that they know where they live and will be coming for their treasure when they least expect it. When they return, Lord Neverember is disappointed to learn that The Twilight Knights were unable to kill Venomfang and were not able to finally rout out the orcs. On the other hand, the Hero Party was being praised and paraded for reclaiming the Wave Echo caves, which is said to have been an old forge for magical weapons… now claimed by Neverwinter. They sell most of their goods and Caramella gets her anti-paralysis gloves. With a desire to finish their mission they go back to rid the forest of Orcs and discover that the tree at the woodland manse is gone and moved. They track it to a large hill, atop of which a ritual is taking place with 2 more half orc casters. On their way they are able to decimate an entire patrol of orcs, expending some resources, but arrive mostly prepared. Linnette lights a fire to draw the attention of the creatures, but as they move closer they gesture for a vine creature to come out of its tree and check it out. Conan kills it in one turn, but combat has now been initiated. Carmella has held one of the half orcs with “hold person” and the other has been beaten back by Conan. A storm cloud has been forming above them, lightning sparking across the sky in a more concentrated fashion as it spirals towards the center att the top of the hill.

The last we saw the Twilight Knights they were engaging a group of twig and vine creatures led by 2 half orcs as the cloud filled with lightning and thunder. Kona appeared briefly and cast a protection dome around them, notifying the party that he saw the storm clouds forming at the top of the mountain while scouting for Venomfang and the Black dragon rumored to be in the area. He also passed on a message from the Professor that the kyber crystal they had brought back was supposed to be used as a summoning catalyst. WIthout it the summoning will be severely weakened. Research also indicated that they were summoning a deity of lightning, even weakened initially it would be able to grow in strength if they did not kill it now. Suddenly, The half orc shot a lightning streak into the sky as its dying action to quicken the summoning ritutal, and Gorthok the Thunder Boar appeared at the hill peak, immediately charging at the party with sparks of lightning arcing to nearby party members. Shava calls for a retreat as the twilight knights attempt to escape, bolting through the woods. Caramella hides in an open alcove, but gets trapped. Unfortunately the party fails with 3 failures and 2 successes causing Gorthok to catch up and engage the party. With solid coordination, the party is able to defeat Gorthok and take his hide for Conan. Having now cleared out the half orcs the party makes it back to Neverwinter for the meeting of the Guilds. Lord Neverember explains that the predicament in Neverwinter is becoming dire and action must be taken. He places 5 wooden slabs on the table outlining each of the major issues threatening the city with rewards to “dealing with it”. To the South is the White Dragon that has cut off trade routes with Waterdeep and Phandalin (8000g). To the East are Black and Green dragon sightings (10000g). Within the city the Chasm has begun seeping out mist forcing the city to evacuate the district once more (5000g). Finally, a secret mission that involves a magic item they will be able to keep once completed (5000g). Then he awards each of the major guilds and adventuring parties, the most memorable being: The Masters of Ironn (Plat), The Keepers of the Mirror (Plat), The Hero Party (Plat), and the Twilight Knights (Gold). The Twilight Knights desire to finish what they started and take on Venomfang one last time. Sir Victor snaps the tablet in half an hands them the Green Dragon portion, saying that they will split the 2000g for the green and 8000g for the black. The Keepers take on the White Dragon quest, the Masters of Ironn take on the secret quest, and 2 other gold parties join up to split the Chasm District quest. With this, the major problems are to be addressed and all the smaller guilds that were given certificates of their rank offered up their services for small portions of money. The Twilight Knights put out a quest for acquiring Venomfang’s location and another for clearing out the smaller monsters and low level annoyances in the area to the East to make a clear path for the party. The groups begin to disperse as the party prepares to take on Venomfang one last time.
Assassins in the Night!

Last we saw the Twilight Knights they conversed with the other guilds before getting some rest and to take care of preparations for the next day. As they are about to walk into their rooms, a strange portal opens above them and an elf face plants into the floor next to them Cardelle, Shava, and Caramella go shopping and meet Sir Victor Lancaster with Arwen to get their custom garbs made. He offers up his Plat discount to pay for half of the double layered robes as a congratulation on their Gold ranking. They decide on one side iridescent white, and the other a black with moving purple swirls similar to the Milky Way Galaxy. During this time Linette and Shichi went around the city singing praises of the Twilight Knights. Their fame is now on par with that of the Platinum rank adventurers. The next day the party goes to the auction house realizing that many of the party items are too expensive. They are able to buy a few minor wondrous items, but are priced out of most things. During this time Cardelle and Shichi notice that the Gilded Heirs are buying things left and right, drinking and having a good old time in the booths. They take the initiative and start flirting with them, convincing them to buy them the ring of shielding (1 charge) and Bracers of archer in exchange for a group 5 + 5 date between the Gilded Heirs and the Twilight Knights the following day. Whether they intended too or not the party ran into some unexpected events. Shichi and Froth were ambushed in an assassination attempt on their way back to the Tower of High Sorcery that night. When they arrived to tell the rest of the party Kona bangs on their doors notifying Froth that there was also an attempt on his Mother’s Life. Fortunately the High Healer was able to jump in the way to protect her, but even with the other hospitalized patients attempting to subdue the assassin he dealt with almost all of them and escaped. They arrived at the scene to find many severely wounded and dead patients with blood splattered everywhere and chaos. The party sees a rope just barely sticking over the edge of the castle wall. When they bolt up to investigate they only see a boat off in the distance somehow moving against the current of the water. Kona catches up to them at the base of the wall shouting that one of the patients was able to slip a unique coin into the assassin's garbs during the struggle and Kona tied his “Locate Object” spell to a compass to guide the party. They could follow now, or wait till daybreak for when they are supposed to get information from their contracted parties on the location of Venomfang. The party wastes no time and immediately set out to find the culprits. They catch up to a fork in the road where they see a bandit patrol group. When Shichi goes to investigate he finds a hidden archer and combat begins. They dispatch of them easily

Last we saw the Twilight Knights they dispatched the bandit scouts. While searching for anything in the area they find a manhole that leads into a deep dark tunnel, with just a bit of light peeking out the bottom. They go into combat immediately as they trigger the bear trap at the bottom. The party rescues members of the Dawnbreakers and pushes through the spiked spear trap and bridge, slaying enemies as they go. The bandits tried to slow them down by cutting a bridge, but the party got across to find an eerie silence waiting for them with a lone dog. The dog barks and as Caramella plans to go in, a well trained warrior charges at her. She manages to bob and weave to dodge most of it as 3 hidden archers peak over the edge of an opposing rafter. Shava fireballs them, killing them instantly. The party then easily dispatches the final warrior after he fights to the death. The party takes a short amount of time to search the area and collect treasure until they come across a gate along the internal stream that seems to lead to the outside. Recalling that they heard footsteps in water before arriving on the scene they go out to investigate to find. A well dressed and battle ridden merchant with cloaked guards. The man introduces himself as Chel-ig and initially asks the party to hand over what they have stolen and leave, offering to leave things as even after this. The party declines and a tense conversation ensues as more of the party filter out of the cave. Chel-ig changes his direction and concedes, saying he will let them go if they leave peacefully now as he does not want to fight back off to the right to allow passage. The party and the Dawnbreakers (who are unarmed and unarmored) hug the wall face keep their eyes locked on Chel-ig as they hear the sound of cloaks from above, but its too late. Two assassins jump down from the high cliff edge, landing next to them, immediately killing all members of the Dawnbreakers. The fight is not looking good as members of the party keep going in and out of consciousness. Froth attempts to trap some of them by chugging a potion of flying and dropping a pile of rocks from his bag of holding onto them; however it looks grim. We arrive back as Shava is unconscious in the cave 30ft deep, Shichi carries an unconscious Carellamella, Linnette and Cardelle in position to escape and Froth flying in the sky. The moment is tense, everyone is on their last leg and we are starting the round with Chel-ig.
Assassin Ambush!

Last we saw the Twilight Knights they narrowly escaped the assassins and Venomfang. Froth risked his life going back in to save Shava that was being taken by the assassin and Chelig. He manages to give her a potion and they kill the two that followed them in a last stand, barely making it out alive. Outside the cave, Caramella and Shichi are captured as Linnette and Cardelle escape into the forest, resolving themselves to save them later. After they see Venomfang arrive and fly away with the prisoners the scattered and dismayed party meet back to find a note daring them to come to get their friends back with a marked location another half day NE. The party decide to go to the location even though its most likely a trap. They run into the Hero Party that was on their way to track the Black Dragon and met the ranger party that notified them of Venomfang’s strange behavior with the Black Dragon and give them the location of the lair, which matches the location the Twilight Knights have. They all go to the obvious trap and Froth tries to sneak around while Sir Victor Lancastor distracts Venomfang. Unfortunately, the walks into a trap by the assassins. He immediately flies up to try to escape as Venomfang quickly chases after him with a breath weapon attack. He survives with 1HP!! Getting to safety as Venomfang lands next to Shichi. Froth looks back in time to see him grin at him and crush Shichi’s head. The party enter a skill challenge as all hell breaks loose as everyone runs in. The Black Dragon Lyzag comes out of the acid pits to drag Sir Victor Lancaster, Woodgil and Medias into the acid. Cardelle, Linnette and Cardelle make it across to save Caramella, but she has no armor or weapons. Venomfang confronts them as they attempt to escape. Caramella and Froth rush out and with a perfect Guiding Bolt, Caramella is able to distract Venomfang long enough for Arwen to get Linnette out. In the scuffle Caramella only had a chance to grab one thing and chose the whistle, making sure the party was able to reunite with Sesal and OB1. Once making it back to Neverwinter the party notices chaos in the streets and damaged buildings with black and acid and poisonous decay. Chancer finds them and brings them to The Lord’s Castle where they are confronted with a furious Lord Neverember and guilds. Apparently the city was in an all out war with the monsters seeping out of the Chasm, but just as the tide was turning in their favor, Venomfang and Lyzag appeared resulting in a retreat. The city has lost the Chasm district once again and most of the forces are spending all their energy and resources keep the Chasm district contained. Resources thin and the blame on the Hero Party and Twilight Knights Lord Neverember screams to have them kicked out once he hears about their failure, but as Caramella is being dragged away she informs the guilds and Lord Neverember that they were able to snatch dragon candy from the head assassin during their scuffle. She proposes they use it to bait the Black and White dragon to fight each other so that even their weakened forces can kill the survivor. Lord Neverember believes them incompetent and orders her to hand it over for them to use and plan, but she insists it has to be them. Sir Victor Lancaster supports her and with a nat 20 persuasion Lord Neverember concedes to her plea for cooperation as they need all the manpower they can get to make sure this is a success. The party spends the rest of the time planning for what is sure to be the biggest showdown in their career.
The Beginnings of a Plan

Last we saw the Twilight Knights they were finalizing the plan with the rest of the guilds and leaders of Neverwinter to bring the two dragons together to fight. The plan was decided and the Twilight Knights with the Hero Party were tasked with drawing out the Black Dragon from his lair toward Phandalin in 5 days. During this time the other guilds will evacuate the city and replace them with adventurers and soldiers to draw out the white dragon Cryovain for his meal and offerings. The food will have obvious markings of the Black Dragon’s acid to cause a conflict and worst case they will hide explosives underneath to detonate if a fight breaks out. As the party leaves the castle chambers they are confronted by the Gilded Heirs who demand their bracer and ring of shielding back. They convince Linnete to make a contract to pay them back 2000g after they complete the mission to save Neverwinter. The Gilded Heirs on the other hand are leaving Neverwinter by supply boat that is arriving in a few days, planning to pay for passage or the boat outright before shit hits the fan. Linnette does notice that the leader of the Gilded Heirs has a pact glove, where a minor curse will befall the party that breaks the contract. A party of adventurers also stop by their quarters at the Tower of Magic and High Sorcery to tell them that not all people blame them for the situation. Conan had told amazing stories while drunk of the great things the Twilight Knights have done and made the people promise to take care of and defend his friends when he left. They are actually fans of the Twilight Knights and have compiled a book of their adventures requesting to hear the other parts of the stories from the party members. Linnette spins an even more amazing story through song of their great accomplishments and all, but Froth signed it. On their way to the Black Dragon’s lair Shava gets an uncomfortable feeling as they approach a bridge. They stop the cart as it goes onto the bridge and disperse just to make sure things are okay. Linnette walks down to the bank and sees underneath a bridge a huge green scaled beasts with yellow eyes looking directly back at her. The combat began as Venomfang charged and grappled Linette into the air while simultaneously, a horde of the remaining orcs, twigs, and half-orcs charged them. The Hero Party held the line yelling for the party to cross over the bridge and disperse before Venomfang can get everyone. Linnette escapes with a Misty Step, but Venomfang nearly knocks out 3 party members with his breath weapon. He is determined to finish their feud here and now. The fight is fierce as Cardelle almost got blown off the bridge and the party even forgoed some of their turns to save Arwin and Doreah. The assassins nearly killed them but Cardelled tackled one of the bridge with and a few spells and crossbow bolts killed the other before the final strike. It was none other than Cardelle with the dragon slaying battle-axe that got a natural 20 and smited on top of it to finish off Venomfang. Everyone was injured and recovering, but decided to push on because time was of the essence. They arrived at the lair after 2 days' travel and decided to take a short rest outside of the lair. Cardelle sets up her alarm spell at the entrances and exits of the lair, and the party sleeps among the trees. After 4 hours Cardelle is awoken by her silent alarm. She peaks through the gaps in the leaves to see the enormous head of an adult black dragon pushing through the wall of vines.

Last we saw the Twilight Knights they saw the huge black dragon Lyzag leave his lair in search of something showing disgust, destroying one section of the cave and covering the other with acid. They enter the cavern completely filled with darkness and unable to see even with darkvision. While searching Cardelle accidentally trips an alarm beacon that sends a magical pulse, which Shava notices and the party decides to rush in while they have the chance. They rush through and Cardelle + Froth are able to find the treasure pile. WIth only a minute they shove in as much treasure and gold as they can before Arwen gives the signal at the entrance of Lyzags return in view. The party rush out just in time to get to their carts as the Hero party take the dragon candy and the Twilight Knights take the treasure. We enter a skill challenge as the chase begins! Things started off rough with two failures and 1 success, resulting in Lyzag crushing the cart to force the party to finish the second half on horseback. The party do well, getting to a final roll, one success means they make it to Phandalin, one failure meaning that Lyzag catches up to them. Unfortunately Froth and Caramella fail as Lyzag descends upon them crushing the horse they ride. Chaos erupts as they throw the amulet they used to tempt Lyzag into a well and scatter. Lyzag barely takes any damage as he knocks out multiple party members before recovering the amulet and making it to Phandalin; however, at this point Cryovain is skeptical of the situation and tells him to leave her domain while she feasts. They both get the feeling the mortals are planning something, but care little as they do not think it will matter as long as the two do not fight. Cryvain does warn though that even if she doesn’t win against Lyzag if he stays to infringe on her territory she will weaken him enough for the mortals to finish him off. Lyzag is upset, but is here only to retrieve his treasure and find the people who led him on a 3 day chase to finally kill them now that he knows why they brought him here. He will take the dragon candy and his treasure as his prize for killing some “pesky mortals that dare attempt to toy with him.” As he leaves the Guilds of Neverwinter realize that now is their only chance and must at least try to kill Cryonvain, igniting the explosives hidden below the feeding ground and throwing everything they have at her. She emerges from the smoke annoyed and barely injured laying waste to the land below with an ice breadth that covers half the town. Some people stand frozen in place while others have difficulty moving towards her. They manage to land a few nets and harpoons to keep her from leaving, but who knows how long that will last for. Even seeing this, Lyzag scoffs at her troubles and turns back towards the direction of the party looking for them with every sense at his disposal. Lyzag glares in the direction of the Hero’s, his golden eyes fixed on the sole goal to find whoever dare insult him, and rip them apart… limb by limb.
Phandalin Under Attack!!

Last we saw the Twilight Knights they were on the edge of town with Lyzag walking towards them, he slowly walked towards them as the party decided to make a break for it. Shava ran off with OB1 to grab his attention and then cast fly on herself to engage Lyzag. She was able to hit him with massive spells, but was sent reeling in the sky from a tail attack midair. Lyzag darted towards the rest of the Twilight Knights. They split up in an attempt to lose him. Cryovain has frozen the city square with her breath weapon making it a hazard as Lyzag goes after Froth who draws him in a long loop straight into Cryovain. They swat at each other, but Lyzag remains focused on Froth. At the same time Cryovain is hit with a chained ballista bolt that penetrates her scales drawing her into one of the buildings. She unleashes her frost breath clipping again Lyzag, who also uses his breath weapon to decimate the Neverwinter forces. The remaining forces jump onto Cryovain from the building tops while Lyzag tears away at the building Froth is in. With little time remaining Sir Victor Lancaster delivers the finishing blow to Cryovain and charges at Lyzag who prepares another breath weapon attack. In this critical moment Froth lands a critical strike against Lyzag nearly killing him. Anger blazing in his eyes he charges Froth swearing to at least take Froth with him, knocking him unconscious with a strike and then tail swiping Linnette against a building when she tries to help. Caramella in desperation knowing she will not reach Lyzag in time heals Lancaster who barely managed to survive the Lyzags last breath weapon and urges him to save Froth. With everything on the line Lancaster manages to skewer Lyzag against a building, slaying him once and for all. As the dust settles the Twilight Knights manage to raise their unconscious members and meet up with the rest of the surviving troops. Lord Neverember lives with very few of his personal guards. Every guild and party took major loses and maybe only in every 20 troops made it out alive. Most still lay injured or recently resurrected. The Hero party suffers Heian’s lose who could not be revived in the 1 minute time frame for revivify and lay deceased in Arwen’s hands. In the Aftermath the recover begins to rebuild Neverwinter and Phandalin. Lord Neverember offers everyone who contributed a reward from the dragon’s treasure hoard, but needs to save most of the major treasure and gold for rebuilding. Every one of the Twilight Knights either gets 1000g or a single magic item of value 2000g or less. They can combine their rewards for better ones. In addition the party can get two items made from the body of either dragon. And there is where we left with the pile of treasure before them.

Last time we saw the Twilight Knights, they had just defeated not just a black dragon but assisted with killing the white. Lord Neverember praised everyone for their effort and made sure to express his sorrow for the fallen. Froth had some visions from the amulet they stole from the dragon involving giants, unsure of what it means he informs the group. When everyone had a chance to recuperate, he rewarded each group handsomely and even a promotion for the Twilight Knights! During that meeting with Lord Neverember, Froth and Linette made their way to the black dragon’s cave to grab loot before others got to it. As they make their way back, Caramella announces to the rest of the group her desire to stay in Neverwinter and help rebuild. With a tearful goodbye to everyone, she heads off to assist in the clinic. With plenty of time on their hands, Froth spends his time rebuilding the thieves guild, Linette traveled around the city playing music for the people, Cardelle went husband hunting and Shava spent some time with her beloved. During their time spent resting in Neverwinter, a familiar face appeared in Caramella’s room. The very friend she went adventuring to save, came to be by her side. Merric Maplewood, and looking quite worse for wear. They catch up a bit and she promises to introduce him to the rest of the Twilight Knights after taking him shopping for some gear. The next day she loads him up with gear while sending out letters to meet up to Twilight Knights and the Hero Party. When everyone in at the meeting spot, she explains the situation and introduces everyone to Merric. Everyone asks a question or 2 but welcome him, making sure to let him know that they try before trust.
After a while of managing the thieves guild, Froth requests a private meeting with Lord Neverember. Cardelle and Linette decide to tag along and Neverember lays out an entire dinner spread to discuss their business. Froth tells him about his plans with the thieves guild and asks for assistance. He agrees and provides 3 contracts to start leaving them to enjoy their dinner. Froth decides to assign 2 contracts to the thieves guild and to keep one, informing everyone they’re needed to clear a building for renovations and find information on dragons. Everyone agrees to go and they head on their way. When they arrive, they see a 4-story building, alot of it in ruins, with scaffolding on the side going up to the 3rd floor. They decide to split up, Froth and Merric heading up the scaffolding while Cardelle, Linette and Shava go through the main entrance. AS Ground team goes inside, they see no one but a few satchels. Shava begins to rummage through them until she hears Froth’s voice saying, they’re here to investigate, not to take things. She decides to leave the packs alone while Cardelle hears a spooky voice exclaiming that this tower is in fact haunted and decide to head upstairs.
Meanwhile on the ascent team, Froth and Merric make their way up to the second floor. They see an odd statue and upon closer investigation notice a magic circle seemingly carved with a dagger into it’s back. There’s some draconic symbols on it as well but neither of them can decipher it, they begin to rummage through the books to attempt to find info but find nothing of worth. They hear some suspicious noises but as they look down the hallway they spot the rest of the party. They regroup and investigate the rooms, finding similar statues in each of the 4 rooms with varying degrees of fractures. They search more bookshelves together but still unable to find anything beneficial. Before heading on they decide to try and mend one of the statues, as Shava reaches out to cast her magic everyone takes their stances in case of hostility.
Her magic reforms the cracks from the damage and in doing so the statue immediately comes to life swinging it’s weapon to attack. Moving quickly Merric rushes to Shava’s side, grabbing her and teleporting away to prevent any injury, Cardelle, Linette and Froth attacking to hopefully put it down quickly. It attacks back but seems to be relying on sound only. Cardelle quickly takes notice and attempts to sneak around but with her heavy armor is unable to stay quiet enough to avoid taking hits. As everyone continues to trade blows with it, Froth stomps his feet while on the scaffolding, luring it over and the scaffolding creaks with the weight of it. Shava casts shatter causing it to form cracks and Merric lunges a dagger into the cracks to make it fragment even more. As Froth continues to take hits luring it even more onto the scaffolding, everyone does more damage while keeping their distance. The statue creature continues to deal blows to Froth eventually knocking him unconscious and it turns towards the rest of the party. Merric throws the last 2 daggers finishing off the creature, as it slumps over the scaffolding gives and itself and Froth begin to fall. Thinking quickly, Merric leaps towards Froth grabbing him and misty stepping back onto the tower and gives Froth a potion to awaken. The party watches the scaffolding completely crumble and see lights in the distance.
They decide to take a quick short rest to regain their energy and then move on to the upper floors before they get caught. Froth and Merric move up quietly past the 3rd floor and on the 4th they find a man scribbling into a book, speaking to himself about telling the people. Froth quick to exclaim, “Tell the people what?” The man is extremely hesitant to reveal anything, clearly worried about informing the wrong people. Linette decides to step in and quietly casts friends on him to make him more relaxed. He eagerly hands over his journal of scribbles telling her about the war between dragon and giants. He continues saying that now that the dragons are gone, there's nothing stopping the giants from reining chaos and death upon the land, stating they have to find a way to stop them or else everyone is doomed. Linette reassures him they’ll find a way and for now to leave the tower with the group as she hears the noises of townspeople climbing the stairs.
Everyone descends from the tower using a nearby rope pulley system and leaves in the darkness of the night just in time for Cardelle to hear one of her suitors. He sounds bewildered and upset as he exclaims that he used all his savings for the tower and shouts for everyone to find who did this. She slips away quickly, disappointed he lied about having money. Unfortunately, when the group returns to their room, the friends spell wears off. The man becomes upset, knowing that a spell was used on him and gets extremely flustered. They try to calm him down and reassure him but instead, a spirit floats out of him and soars away. Everyone stands there shocked as his body slumps down, now empty. Froth hurriedly pours some alcohol on himself and the body, carrying it over to a nearby tavern. He makes loud comments pretending to be a drunk carrying their friend home before placing his body near a tavern. Everyone else converses, trying to decide what to do next. What will happen next with the Twilight Knights?
