Hi, I’ve been running 5E for a while and am looking to run Waterdeep Dragon Heist with a party of 4-6 players.
The game will be both RP and combat heavy ( I like to run tactile combat where every move matters) and will run weekly. I’m open to any week days and Saturday evenings after 3 PM (GMT).
The game will take place on discord, using Roll20 for tabletop. I am new player friendly, but I tend to run rules heavy games. However, I am more than happy to guide players through everything, at least at first. Oh and obviously no prior knowledge of the adventure.
No hard age limit but I am 18 and am looking for anyone around my age or older.
If you are interested send your discord, I’ll probably interview everyone. I am also open to any questions. Expect a friend request from WillB.
Hello. I would be interested to play. I was going to play this campaign a few years ago but that never happened, so I'm quite interested in it. My main question would be: How long do you plan for the sessions to last (2-3 hours or longer)?
I see. Timing might be a bit tricky for me, but it would depend on other players' availability, I suppose.
I have been playing DnD for a few years now but I might need a bit of guidance since I have never played in a game that would follow all the official rules (I never played in a game where we would care about weight or rations too much, for example) but it sounds as an interesting experience. Please, message me on Discord for that interview you mentioned, if you wouldn't mind me trying to join.
I'm down. 4 years exp with 5e, though much longer with various TTRPG's and 12 year veteran of WoW. Been a Forever DM the last few Decades, and would love to stretch my legs for a bit. 3-4 hour games are my standard, so that's not an issue. My only issue is WHEN. Currently, my available days are Monday (All Day), Tuesday (All Day), Wednesday (All Day), Thursday (12noon EST until 6pm), and Friday (12noon EST until 6pm). Not available at all on Saturday, but available from 12noon to 6pm Sunday.
I am very interested but I'm guessing no homebrew currently looking for a session that will allow me to use my homebrew druid subclass there's not many major changes except for a different monster manual being the monster Hunter manual any hybrid for RP and combat situations
That technically wouldn't be up to you unless you're saying you're going to run this like DM vs. Player, which traditionally has been a rough time for all involved.
But he's referring specifically to combat scenarios.
I'd be a bit weary of joining this without more information because Dragon Heist is a very open-ended campaign and an overbearing and strict DM can suck the fun out of it. Best of luck.

Probably should have put that in the original post, I’m planning to run for about 3-4 hours.

I just want players to think about their actions.
I use "Actions have Consequences", which keeps the murder hobos in line.

Thanks for the input dude, really needed that.
Sorry to everyone in here but we've hit our player limit. Thanks for applying anyway, if we ever need any other players I'll come looking here first.
