It's an interactive One-shot tutorial for VTT foundry, which is narrated like a normal one - shot/campaign session to help me get back in shape as a DM.
System: D&D 5e
Platforms: VTT Foundry, no cost for you, my treat :) + D&D Beyond (For character creation) + Discord (For Voice)
Date & Time: Sunday, 20.08. at 16:00 UTC AND Monday, 28.08. at 16:00 UTC. These sessions are separate from each other.
Open Slots: 5 per session: 5/5 Sunday - 5/5 Monday
Information:
I am a new DM who wants to get back into DMing after a roughly 10 year break. I am a bit rusty, so I'll do some One-shots to get back before starting a campaign. Getting back into D&D I discovered VTT Foundry and LOVE IT so far. Wanting to learn the software as a DM I created an interactive “tutorial” which is built from the ground up like a normal D&D One-shot, but aims to teach every player the basics on how to use foundry (as a Player).
This One Shot is about 3-4h long and consists of 2 parts.
The first is a roughly 15-30min introduction into VTT Foundry as a User and is non role play. This part is mostly just technical explanations about how to use Foundry (but still interactive in the form of an explorable small farm home) with a combat encounter at the end.
Subsequently, the real interactive tutorial (in role play) starts with a Homebrew dungeon showcasing a lot of the functionality of Foundry in a fun, interactive and engaging way. Or, at least, I hope it does :D. Exploration, Puzzles, hidden Treasure and Encounters which you can solve how you'd like, await you in this dungeon.
So, if you would like to learn D&D 5e OR want to see what foundry can offer you as a player OR if you are a veteran who would like to help an old DM into getting back in shape, feel free to message me. And who knows… maybe if we all fit together, this could transition into a long-term campaign thing. I am open to all possibilities.
I welcome all sorts of players who just want to have fun and engage in role playing.
Requirements: A decent Microphone, manners and a respectful tone with other humans. Fun and willingness to engage in Role Play would also be appreciated.
