Update: Thank you for your interest, I've been fortunate enough to fill the seats at my table and am closing this thread.
Critical Role: Call of the Netherdeep The greed of mortals has awakened a powerful entity long thought destroyed. For eons, this mighty champion of the gods has been imprisoned in the darkest depths of Exandria. His name has been forgotten, as have his heroic deeds. Languishing in despair, he calls out for new heroes to save him.
Inspired by the campaigns of the hit series Critical Role, this adventure begins in the Wastes of Xhorhas and leads to the glimmering oasis-city of Ank’Harel on the continent of Marquet, and from there into a sunken realm of gloom, corruption, and sorrow known as the Netherdeep. Above it all, the red moon of Ruidus watches, twisting the fates of those who have the power to shape the course of history.
Your characters will begin at level 2 for a short adventure before kicking things off with Call of the Netherdeep. I usually create homebrew content around a module to better fit the party's goals and backstories. The campaign will take place in 865 PD, or Post-Divergence, 30 years following the events of campaign 2 of Critical Role. I will work closely with you during character creation to understand your character concepts and identities, along with your backstories to better create content that engages them.

About Me: I am a GM who values a strong narrative and enjoys collaborative storytelling. I want to create an environment where your characters experience growth and have opportunities to display their ideals and flaws. Role-play is important to me, so I am very passionate about filling the world you inhabit with realistic NPCs and meaningful dialogue. At my table, I generally run neutral/good aligned campaigns with a grounded theme. I don't particularly enjoy creating meme-y content or joke characters, and request the same from my players. No tolerance for any type of prejudice or hate. LGBT friendly
Leave me a message if you have any questions, thanks for reading!
Question in regards to one thing you said, when you say joke characters are you meaning, "sir farts a lot....he farts...a lot" or would this exclude Bard types like Scanlan Shorthalt where jokes hide things? I ask because I mostly play a Bard, but have been interested in this campaign so would play not a Bard if non serious personality isn't something you want in a game.
Hello, my concerns with "joke characters" are that the player would make a gimmick character where they would be 2-dimensional and lack substance. These characters can be great fun in a one-shot or a lighter campaign with friends, but that isn't what I'm aiming to run for this adventure.
So yeah, Scanlan and bards in general are welcome, but not Sir Fartsalot, who farts a lot, lol.
Hello Soleil, I generally do keep an open mind to homebrew, especially if it helps one create that unique character that they weren't able to make work with existing WotC content.

I'm Tempest_Bunny on Discord, I'd love to discuss it further to see if I'm a good fit for the campaign.
