Human Rogue thief (think like a dark Robin Hood. Rob from the rich and give to the poor type)
Rock Gnome wizard (Everyone made fun of him for not working in the mines like his father and his fathers father. He'll show all of them that Gnomes can become the greatest wizards in all the land!!)
Half-Elf Druid: A sage who is upset with nature being corrupted and wants to cleanse it.
Glados - Human Barbarian: A cantankerous old lady who's had a hard life in the poor area of town and has lost faith in humanity after seeing how poor people are treated and ignored. Doesn't trust most people, especially the well off and she no longer pays tribute to any gods since none of them stopped her losing her family. She's got a quick temper and will hit you as easily as insult you, and watch out, she might look old and frail but she's got that old lady strength, she'll give a good whooping if she thinks you deserve it. Has a soft spot for kids, especially poor ones. Also the urchin background gave her a pet mouse when I generated her but she hates rats, so instead I made it a mouse-sized cat since she loves cats (she's friends with all the street cats but has a few favourites).
I had a few premade characters but they didn't really seem to fit into the theme of the campaign other than Glados, the Sage is one I made up on the spot with this in mind and so don't have much backstory prepped.
Also this would be my first time playing, but I'm super excited and dedicated 😃.
a Variant Human Rogue with Proficiencies in: Stealth, Deception, Sleight of Hand, and Persuasion and Expertise in: Stealth and Thieves Tools. The ability score increases I chose were Strength and Charisma. The feat I chose (because it was the only one it let me) was Grappler, and the skill proficiency I chose was Medicine. Background: Criminal/Spy. And I should probably stop saying literally everything about him. Alternatively I would choose
a half elf Sorcerer who shifts between being a jolly goofball and a depressed emo boy
1. Human street urchin with a playful trickster energy who never learned to read. They are the ringleader of a group of kids ages 6-15 (they are 16) and they run cons on rich people to get food/money. I think this character could be either a rogue or a bard.
2. Middle-aged human woman who just left her husband of 15 years the day before the campaign started. She left because she wasn’t happy and he was a boring elf. She starts out doubting her capabilities and even her decision to leave, but slowly comes into her own power and strength during the campaign. I think she is probably a fighter or maybe a monk? And her name is Marilyn.
1. Aasimar bard from a satanist (or your world's equivalent) household rebelling against his parents and fighting for good. Originally built him to be the antichrist but that seems a bit much for this campaign. Est. age 16?
2. Variant human paladin that's a real Lancelot type. Deeply religious but going through a crisis of faith due to his own moral failings. Probably oath of redemption or devotion. Haven't made up my mind. Est. age: 25. Haven't chose a feat yet, but likely taking sentinel or magic initiate

Yet to play, hope to find a group who won't mind my being shy while I take the training wheels off.
