Looking for a table to join. Have a few things that i'm looking for so that the table is a good fit for me and i am also a good fit for the table
Date/Times: Cannot join any session on Wednesdays or Thursdays (i have early work on fridays, and wednesday is my session i DM). I am able to join any other evenings that run between 8pm eastern US and 2am eastern (sessions can be however long, thats just the earliest start time and the latest i'll be available for the end of a session). Afternoons on the weekends may be doable, but i might have to miss a session here or there in those cases. I could potentially be persuaded in a hybrid play by post that occasionally meets, but i found a fully play by post to not really fit for me.
Experience: I currently DM a homebrew, but have very limited player experience. I'd need someone to kinda hold my hand through the creation process of a character (little to no experience making a character of my own, i used NPC templates as a dm and gave my players a matrix to start and relied on them to make their own characters that they wanted to play with minimal restrictions, so i have low experience there). I can create an effective backstory to match the session so it's mostly just making sure i do things properly.
Age Group/Orientation: I would have preference to the 30-50 crowd. I'm in my late 30's, i like referencing late 90's events and making jokes that reference that era so i'd just fit best with a group that was similar. I am male, i don't have any issues with folks who may have alternative preferences as they can live as they choose, i'm not here to judge.
Playstyle: I prefer using trinkets and tricks to get things accomplished rather than min-maxing my way through a battle. I don't mind RP'ing a scenario but don't like RP'ing in voice. I prefer theater of mind or basic tables, but am ok to explore options that don't come with a monthly subscription. I would do well in a group that lacks a bit of decisiveness, or a table that welcomes non-combat shenanigans. I do prefer campaigns with more magical/mysterious happenings than mechanical/technologically driven ones, but could see myself playing either pending table.
Pay: while i would certainly chip in every year or every certain window of time with the group to give the GM something or pay for a subscription somewhere for them to upgrade the table if it was going well, i would be extremely unlikely to join a pay to play game at this time and would prefer not to be offered any opportunities where fees are involved right now.
New vs Ongoing Campaign: I have no issues with joining a campaign in progress or starting new, though ideally the group in progress would not be extremely deep in a campaign (say not over level 10 and 2-3 years in, i'm thinking 6-12 months in and level 4-9). I am willing to take part as an NPC on a trial run for group dynamic testing if the DM would so desire that first.
In Person vs Online: Online only for now, preference is to discord for voice.
Module vs Homebrew: Slightly leaning Homebrew, but honestly this is the least important, the table makes the game not the module :)
I know all of the above is quite specific and realize that i might not find the table that ticks every checkbox, i could be persuaded to try a few tables with slightly different dynamics. Just figured it'd help DM's looking for specific things at the table, they can look at the above and see an immediate fit or immediate conflicts and not have to wait on a response to know. I'd prefer a message on dndbeyond over posts here. Look forward to hearing from any DM's interested in a player like me.
To clarify as well, since i am still looking for an opportunity, i am fine with finding a campaign that falls outside the above in some areas, The blurb is just to give you information about me so you'd know what to expect of me to some degree :)
let me know via dm or here if you have a spot in your group or are about to form one, would be happy to check it out!

still looking!
as a rehash
Slightly older player
Looking to play a fairly conventional support mage as my primary choice
ok with a wonky rogue build if they nee something closer to the front line (but would still be more support)
mostly looking for the 8:00pm-1am window eastern on any non wednesday. thursday could be rough as well on the later edge of that time window.
willing to be a sub-in for a currently away player if someone wants to trial player me in to make sure i'm a good fit.
not interested in up front pay-per-session games.
