DRAKKENHEIM IS NO MORE. A meteor storm devastated the city, leaving behind ruins that slowly festered with an alien contamination over the years. Many brave souls now delve into the ruins to find fortune, fame or power. Some chase the delirium crystal that now grows in the ruins, hungry for its unique properties or eager to erase its ills. Others search for a means to lay claim to the fallen throne, and rule over all. What will you find in Drakkenheim? How will you decide its fate? I'm going to add a little Fallout (Bethesda) flavour to the campaign, mostly through music and roleplay where I can, and the odd reference or two. But at its core, it will remain high fantasy with gothic and cosmic horror elements. My session zeros are free. Group type: Online on Discord, D&D Beyond and Foundry VTT
Experience: Any, beginners are welcome.
Game style: I've been DMing for ten years, full-time for two, with over 600 paid games and 50+ 5-star reviews on startplaying.games. I try to include all pillars of play, although combat and social roleplay will dominate game time (Roughly about 40/40/20 Combat/Social/Exploration). I have a visual novel-style approach for social encounters, where possible, and premium maps and animated effects for combat. The tone of my games typically falls on the heroic and light-hearted side, although tension and drama are introduced when needed. I lean more toward a rule-of-cool style, where it makes sense and doesn't break anything. This is a paid game, available for $25 per session on StartPlaying.Games.
We are up to 3 players and will be starting this weekend. Daylight saving change will probably change the time to 13:30 EST / 10:30 PST in November I believe. Unless we agree to move it.
