Hello there and welcome to the Dungeon of Terra!

I am currently looking for 5 players to fill out the party for my Curse of Strahd campaign which will start in Q1. I expect the campaign to last 24-30 months, and will be played fortnightly. I have recently concluded my previous Strahd campaign which had its level 17 finale 02/12/23 and it was so epic that I want to run another! Before we start I would like to get a couple of 1-3 shot games so you can see if my style of game is something you are looking for.

Playstyle

 My playstyle as a DM tends to be 40% combat, 40% Social and 20% Exploration. Combats tend to be challenging and I do run a deadly game. Whilst not every combat is life and death it is prudent for players to have at least one back-up character preferably two that you are excited to play.

I also use a few homebrew rules which I believe add to the game, notably the Grimm Hollow grievous and permanent wounds when you are reduced to 0hp, letting yourself or your friend drop is now a dangerous choice! I have a google document that is available upon request which details the list of new conditions, the homebrew spell tweaks (such as true strike being a reaction cast that adds 1d4 to the attack role) and the spells which I am omitting from the game or have a soft ban. Don’t worry you can take Silvery Barbs, Shield is better :P
(For me the only real problem spells are ones that slow the game to a halt which is why all conjure minion spells will be banned, and the Tasha’s Summoning spells are used in their stead)

This will be a fleshed out world which will cover all aspects of the game, experience will be used but gained from various sources, you don’t just have to kill monsters to level up! I am always trying to improve, working on including exploration in a natural way. I use voices for NPCs, and keep up dynamic descriptions during combat. Roleplay doesn’t stop when initiative is rolled, combat is roleplay afterall!

Safety

 This campaign will be dealing with dark and disturbing themes, as such players are required to be 18 or over. There may be instances of; Children being eaten, matricide, patricide, infanticide, fratricide, self-mutilation, substance abuse, body horror, racism, bigotry, misogyny, misandry, murder, implied torture, gaslighting, manipulation, relational abuse, narcissistic abuse

For myself I will not allow any form of sexual assault, players attempting such will be asked to leave. I allow torture via veil, but will not go into detail as many are uncomfortable with the theme, also leads to murder hobo tendencies. PvP is also not allowed as it rarely leads to a fun experience. Bullying will not be tolerated, there is no such thing as a ‘reverse -ism’, if you harass another player you will be banned immediately. 

Keep politics away from the table as well please, unless you are discussing Bahamut and Tiamat, then have at it! 

For safety tools, “Let's pause for a minute” Using this phrase will stop the game and we can discuss what you are uncomfortable with.

Hey there yes the game is still open and we are trialing for one more player! We have 5 confirmed, there will be a level 20 one-shot on the 18th February! With the campaign starting on the Sunday

The one-shot will be starting a couple of hours early,  18:00 GMT (as it is level 20 I think 5hrs will be needed to get it done in one session) There will be a 28,000gp item purchase using the Kibbles Crafting prices! (The PDF will be shared with you as view only via google drive) Look forward to hearing from you! Could you defeat the Lich  that would become a God?
