Greetings adventurers! I'm looking for a few brave souls in search of excitement (and treasure) to run Storm King's Thunder.
Game: D&D 5e Group type: Online Experience: Veteran group. New players welcome. Timezone: Pacific Schedule: Every other week Monday or Wednesday 7 pm to 10 pm (Which day to be determined by the group) Roles sought: Players 2-3 Game style: Casual/roleplay
Now, a little about myself. I've DM'd D&D on and off since 3rd edition. I played online campaigns for about 3 years in the 4th edition era. And I've run DDAL adventures for conventions for a year and a half back when 5th edition first came out. I'm new to Roll20 but I think we'll be able to work the kinks out. But what kind of table do I run, you ask? Happy to answer. I want the game to be theater of the mind plus (or TotM+). Minis will be on the board for ease of visualization, but we won't be worried to much about counting steps or being cross-corner for flanking bonuses. If you want to do something cool, tell me! I want to see how badly it will fail awesome it will turn out. I lean more towards Lord of the Rings (film) instead of Lord of the Rings (books). And I run an inclusive table. If you aren't cool with LGBTQ+ players or folk who want to play a PC that different than their own gender... well... find another game.
My group currently consists of my best friend PinkRose (who played all of those online games with me back in the day) and my wife Shoela (who got me into D&D to begin with). We're hoping to find few more players. It doesn't matter if you've been gaming since THAC0 or just got into the hobby, we're a friendly group thats looking for fun, adventure, roleplaying, and excitement in the Savage Frontier of Faerun.
Josh is an excellent DM. I highly recommend jumping in if it fits your schedule. What specifically are you wanting to know? Storm King's Thunder is a WotC adventure that included giants and dragons. And runs from level 1 - 11.
I'm on PST. Mid level of experience. Would love to join if you will have me. Monday or Wednesday are both good for me at 7 PM. You can contact me on my discord:

I have a Half-Orc Monk already set and am dying to try him out. Complete backstory already created.
I’d love to join if you’ll have me. I’m free on both Wednesday and Monday at that time and I have an Air genasi rouge, a trifling bard, or a halfling Ranger I’d like to try out.
This sounds like a fun table to join. I as that old school player back in the days of thaco, been gaming mostly DMing since. I am new to 5e, have started running for my kids and wife on weekends. As I work away from home during the week, my evening are very open and both days and times would work beautifully.
As fo characters, I am very much a fan of support, so I am comfortable with whatever class, it's just the tools I have at my disposal, the character will be the best part.
I'm somewhat new to Dnd, but have been going to my local game store's Adventures League for a few months, but I really wanna start playing in a home group.
I have a few characters, from Adventures League that I can use a Half-Elf Rouge and a Drow Warlock, plus a new level 1 tiefling blood hunter.
Whoa! That's a nice amount of excitement I'm seeing. Thanks for everyone that has expressed interest so far. While I was only looking for 2-3 more players, I know that online games can be a different/difficult beast for some and gaming with total strangers can be weird as well. So I'd like to run a couple of one-hour one-shots for all of you all that have shown interest. The adventure is called Treasure of the Broken Hoard. It's a little light on the RP but it would give everyone at the table a chance to see if the group will work out for you.
Good morning. I am interested in joining the group. I played in my youth and now my kids have gotten me back into it. I would love to play any race and class as needed. Monday or Wednesday work for me during the summer months.
Ability Score Generation - Point Buy/Standard Array (depending on how lazy you feel)
Equipment - Use Starting Equipment or gold pieces as covered in Chapter 5 of the PHB
Backgrounds - Anything from the PHB or the Sword Coast Adventures Guide is fine. If you are thinking of a custom background... PM me.
The one-shot and campaign are taking place in the Serie Coast so having a character from there would be helpful but isn't required. And if you are a Dalelander or some such... it's going to get cold ;)
CLOSED TO NEW PLAYERS AT THIS TIME

Hi! This sounds awesome. I am a long time player returning after a decade long absence.
New to 5e but quick to learn
I live in the Pacific Time Zone, and I would prefer Monday 7-10 PM
I would like some basic campaign info please.

Because of the Giants, get it?

Try outs! Excellent. How would you like our characters to be built? Point buy, roll, etc?
Thanks for the opportunity and chance.

For the one-shots are they going to be here, discord or Roll20?
Good question. Roll20.
This is where I am a bit lost....what is roll20? How do I access it? This is where being out of the gaming loop makes me feel well out of the loop...
Hi TGK,
https://roll20.net/
There is the link to Roll20, its a software platform for mapping and much more. I am brand new to it as well. Hope this helps
