Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online (Discord and hopefully Roll20) Experience: New and Experienced for online Location/Timezone: EST (GMT-4) Schedule: Weekend nights (10-whenever we find a go place to stop) Role sought: 4 to 5 players Game style: Casual custom campaign. Too much to explain here.
My fellow dungeon lords!
Okay, done with that. I created a game with my college friends last semester and we finished a campaign I created from basically the ground up. That includes some new, optional combat types. Trying to get them to reconvene is now almost impossible. Currently we have two players, 3 if you count an NPC I like to have follow the group around, along with a maybe and someone going to start playing in a few weeks.
I am cool with new players as that is what I have been around most of the time, and I welcome experienced players with open arms as they can help with anything I will almost certainly look over.
About a medium amount of roleplay is done with my game. You get into character and try to follow your alignment but we like cracking jokes in game. I like taken this seriously as much as I like having people deconstructing the story and enemies.
Trying to shoot for about a 2 hour session each night but that always goes longer. If you can't show up for a game I'll come up with a good reason as to why your character is not present. I haven't used Roll20 so hopefully I can get it to work. If not, I have a backup that just involves using our imaginations.
Everyone in the group currently is a bunch of early 20 year olds. While we've played with mostly peers anyone older or between 18-19 is free to join,
We'll be using the campaign I worked on with some custom parts added. I also allow (almost condone) the use of custom classes, within reason. One person already came up with a good necromancer so I'll let anyone else do it. Sidequests involving your character's history is also allowed. We'll also be starting at level 5 since some characters used are at that and we can start ripping and tearing monsters and the bad guys.
While I do want a posse, so large it would tear a dragon down without it roaring, I am new and reasonable. I'll cap the party at about 8 people, maybe I could be convinced for more if you have a good idea involving a friend. I also want this to be a group of good guys. If you can find a good way of integrating an evil character in the group or part of the antagonist group(s) I can allow it.
Before we start I'd like to give an introduction to my campaign to everyone joining. If you are serious send me a message and I can send you a link to the Discord we'll be playing on.
I am also not readily available on weekday afternoons and evenings. After 9-10 I can respond. However if you really need to get a response during those times, you can send a message to LunarColdfire and he can answer questions and get you set up as best as he can.
I am interested in it since none of my friends play AT ALL( it's always Magic the Gathering with them. I'm digressing, sorry.). Sundays are my only time free and I'm on EST. I can play as vanguard or support depending on how the group looks (though I do want to try Eldridge Knight), and my alignment range is NG to CN. Message me if you have an opening.
I've been looking to play D&D for years now. I just found out that doing it online is a thing :o so I have been running around like a chicken with its head cut off trying to look for some people to play with. I have played before, but not much because my friends that I tried to play with weren't 100% into it like I was. I bought all the basic stuff just to learn eveything and DM (though I do want to play my own characters too). Just also to not, I like being laid back and make sure everyone has a good time. I don't like frowns, only smiles :D
Also her is my Discord NissaAnimist#5021 (I don't care who sees this, cause I am a rebel :P lol)
EDIT: I also wanted to throw out there that I'm really into created stuff and homebrew. I like to come up with all sorts of stuff for D&D and other things I play.
Despite having years of RP experience on other platforms, I've been beyond excited to try D&D for awhile now. It's just hard to find a group, even online it seems. I'd love to join but I wanted to know if text chat was an option for players?
