The Flaming Fist of Baldur's Gate has intelligence from a reliable source that the orcs are on the move. They are led by Gravva, rumored to be an Orc Eye of Gruumsh. How, you ask, has the Fist come by this name? Well, for one, the name is drawn in blood on the cottages and barns in the path of the orc's destruction; and for another, it's the only name the dead can speak—for they remember nothing else. Gravva they whisper faintly. Gravva they cry out in pain. Gravva. The Orc Lord.
Are you willing to take up the mantle and investigate this growing threat? If so, your contact is Lieutenant Omaha. Go to the Elf Song tavern. Look for a man with a full black beard and mane. Pay particular attention to his left hand. Upon his fourth finger, the heart finger, you will see a gold ring fashioned to resemble flickering flames. Do not speak his name. Under your breath, speak the pass phrase: There can be no justice, no peace, so long as evil is allowed to endure.
Thanks for replying DarkCannibal34! Right now I'm gauging interest. I have a fairly open schedule M-Th, especially in the evenings. I live on the West Coast. I don't want to put too many restrictions early. As with most Tables, players and DM included need to agree on a schedule. Then go from there. :D
... That being said, I imagine the party starting at Level 2. Gives everyone a few hit points, some second level class features, and access to some gold. Just enough, but not too much. :D
I have a lot of experience as both player and DM. I am definitely interested in this. I have a new character I've been really wanting to play with. I think he would fit this premise really well.

Milamber Lvl.1 Human Sorcerer: Curse of Strahd
Masque: Lvl.5 Gith Cleric: Age of Death
DM: League of Improbable Adventurers: Chapter 1 of Arunduil's Bane
We have the same time zone and availability. I am very interested in finding out more information about the planned game style (roll20, pbp, voice chat, etc).
Master subscriber and have all the non adventure books I can share in campaign.
First, let me say that I am flattered and humbled by all the interest! I wasn't sure what to expect when I created this post. I'm an old school D&D DM and player—my go-to is pencil and paper, but I do have experience in video chat and PBP. I know my way around 5E, so no worries there :D
zextelmon, I haven't dabbled in roll20 yet, but I did get a chance to take a look at it. There's a lot of features on there that make sense, if we're all in the same time zone, which that doesn't seem to be the case.
If I'm counting correctly the party is decently sized, about 8 players. Good group, with varying levels of Table experience. So, how do we proceed? What's the best way to set this up?
Also, If you decide to do PBP then you just create a thread in that forum that is private and closed and send us the link to join. Then it is just a matter of how you want us to go about character creation and what you feel about possible premade characters (point buy, etc).

I'll close it once everyone is there! Thanks :D

A beginning is a very delicate place...

I'm open to PBP or Videochat.
I have a couple of questions:
1. Is this going to be over Videochat? ex. like Skype
2. What is the time that you will be doing this? I'm only free on Sunday.
3. What Lvl are we starting at?
Please send me a message to let me know, this sounds like fun.

I’d be interested if we can make it PbP
Id be interested in joining do you think we could play a round tonight?
I'm also interested in a PbP or other text option if the group is still open. I've got a lot of RP experience and I'd love to be a part of it.
Hey! New to dnd, but I'm a quick learner. Would love to get involved.

I am interested in playing this. Would prefer PBP cause I don't know how to do anything else. Plus my equipment sucks.

I'd say the best way would be to PM everyone an invite to a discord server or some other text chat, so we can communicate more easily.
