I'm running my own game with IRL friends online due to folks moving away, but REALLY want to scratch my player/in-person D&D itch.
I tried browsing around for a local game, but couldn't seem to find anything here so I'm making this post. I am up to travel for it a little bit, so if you're in Virginia and not over 3 hours away, feel free to let me know!
I like a pretty event split of combat vs. RP, but I'm not a super heavy RPr (I'll talk as my character, but I won't have a distinct voice if that makes sense).
I shot the other person a message, but they haven't logged in since then. If everything went well together, if they responded we'd just about have a group if someone DM's haha.
Hey all! 30m Norfolk here! I'm hoping to find some local folks to start a campaign with! Complete rookie here so I would need some patience! :) Could be virtual or flexible as need be. Just trying to break into the space. Thanks!
Hey! 23 in Hampton here, really hoping to find an in-person group! I'm a perma-DM, and I prefer DMing, so if anyone is interested, please shoot me a message!
Our weekly 5e D&D group has suffered some player attrition due to life events so I'm recruiting 1-2 new players in the Newport News area. We're looking for dedicated, long-term players to join our table.
We're a group of several guys whose age ranges from 30-50. Most of us have been playing together for several years. We play in person Saturdays from 6 PM until midnight, rain or shine at my house. We use minis, dice and terrain. None of us smoke and there's no pets/kids on premises. Plentiful parking.
If you can commit to the above, then please message me.
I’ll be moving to that area in the next month or two and was curious if you ended up finding an in person group to meet with.
Hey! Yeah, so I run one game in person at my brothers in Hampton and then I play in another in someone else's place with a different group in Newport News.
If you're still looking for people to play IRL, I live in Newport News in the Ft. Eustis area.
I'm about the same mix of combat vs. RP, maybe leaning a little more towards the combat, typically. I have not DM'ed and would probably not have the confidence at this point to try it, to be honest. I'm still a somewhat new player, having only played with a couple groups over the last three years or so, though I've gotten a bit of experience with a couple different classes/play styles. I love trying new classes and I'm happy to fill in whatever role needs to be filled to make the party a little more well-rounded.

Also if you’re looking for other options the atomic comics in hampton and wb comics in nn do dnd nights!
I used to play D&D at ACE in Hampton every Wednesday night growing up haha. Also spent some time at WB, I'm interested for sure. I'll shoot you a PM.
Hey! I live in Norfolk, have y'all found a group to play with?
Nothing yet!

Still hoping to find folks!
Where are all the VA folks :(
I found a group that meets at Slover every other Saturday. Here's a link to the discord: https://discord.gg/vyPqWMU9

If you prefer DMing, that's great cause I'm already running two games and REALLY want to play haha.
