Game: D&D 5e Group type: Online, using Discord for voice and Roll 20 for character sheets, maps and rolls. Experience: Ten years. Location/Timezone: Varied, we have people from half a dozen countries. Schedule: No set schedule. It's a west march with multiple DMs who run when they feel like it and have the players available. Sessions tend to be afternoon (7pm ish) central time, but can vary. Roles sought: Looking for 4-6 players. Strongly prefer players with an interest in roleplaying interesting characters and voicing their characters. Game style: This campaign is a sandbox West March with a heavy emphasis on roleplaying and exploration inside a steampunk setting based largely on the Victorian era with elements of Wild West thrown in. The campaign takes place on the "new world" continent of Paradise, which is currently being colonized by old world powers in a manner somewhat analogous to the Americas. In addition to the tension that causes, there is also tension between the rise of industry and technology and the traditional magic-favoring old guard*. In this world, magic and steampunk technology collide and clash with one another both philosophically, but also in a more literal way at times.
You will play as someone who has just arrived in Arkstone, an independent city-state in Paradise, and are slightly in debt to Parnassus Co. either because you are from the old world and they paid your passage over, or you are a native of the continent and they helped you get a passport and papers so you can travel in "civilized" lands. How you get the coin to repay them and what you do in the world is entirely up to you.
If you enjoy a bit of steampunk in your fantasy, or enjoy Victorian English or Old West vibes, this campaign might be a great fit for you. If you prefer your D&D to be strictly medieval, this campaign is probably not a great fit.
*If you've played Arcanum of Steamworks and Magic Obscura, this campaign has drawn pretty heavily from that well for aesthetic inspiration.

Howdy! Just sent a friend request on discord, my username is Zodrin. Im really interested in this kind of setting and look forward to hearing back form you!
Quick note on the the campaign, because it has come up and I probably should have put this information in: 1. Gotta be 18+ to join. It's not like a crazy lewd of graphically violent campaign by any means, but sometimes the themes aren't entirely appropriate for people under 18.
2. Related to the above, had a couple people ask about joining who wanted to know the age range and didn't want to play with "old people." The age range is from 18 to mid fifties, with the average being around 30.
Campaign is starting up in a little over a week, and still have room for 2-3 people in the community (aiming for around 30 total people). A reminder to anyone who signs up that (had someone leave over this) it is strongly preferred that you be willing to voice your character in the first person. Obviously not expecting voice actor quality, but want people at least willing to try.
