Group preferred: Online - roll20 or others, I'm open to any but have none of them currently.
Experience: brand new, but have cut my teeth on baldurs gate and have a lot of experience in other rpgs.
Location/Timezone: MDT
Availability: very flexible. Mon - Fri I am only available between 6pm and midnight, but weekends I'm completely open after about 10am
Preferred role: player
Game style: chill, relaxed, serious but casual and a focus on FUN and challenge above anything else.
I'm looking for a pretty 'core' experience (I've seen weird stuff like cartoon collaborations and whatnot, and I really want to just immerse myself in a standard DnD universe experience with no wild sidesteps)
Beyond that I'm open to anything. I will need a bit of instruction and would welcome and digest any learning material offered before the proposed night so I was as educated as possible.
As a 40 year old man I've never found enough people to get a game together and I've always wanted to dip my toes into DnD. I am not into RP to the point of costumes or talking in accents but I'm fine with a group that does get into that. I really just want to have fun with the game and am looking for a group that's willing to bring a noob in and show me the ropes so we can enjoy some adventures. Would prefer a group with at least 1 knowledgeable person (preferably the DM) so I can make sure I'm learning the game properly but I'm certainly fine with a group of other noobs as well.
Like learning to swim, sometimes the best way to learn is to just jump in. Let's do it.
