I feel like there's two schools of thought around DnD: Either it's about the mechanics, winning, or its about having fun and being around others. I belong firmly to the second school and am seeking others who share in these aspirations. A roleplay focused experience that’s just fun, there's no winning or losing, just being with others and making good memories.
I’ve been building a server focused on community, creating a space on the internet free of toxicity where we can have deep conversations about global topics like culture and the state of the world, while also enjoying some DnD! It’s my mission to create meaningful positive change in people’s lives and provide a community for those who really need one. I know all too well the pain of isolation and want to help as many people as possible find their way out of that. So, if you want to come find friends and expose yourself to some new perspectives, participate in discussions about culture and organized debates on important topics, and above all else enjoy some stress-free roleplay focused DnD then come and join us! Please feel free to reply to this thread and ask questions. I love to talk and it helps if you put it on the thread so others can read the answers as well. Same goes if you’ve got a question, read through the comments first to see if it's already been asked and answered!
Here's the link: https://discord.gg/Y3sXN7yWPs You'll be taken to a checking server where we can interview you to break the ice a bit and make sure that you'll be a good fit for our community. Anonymity is a big source of toxicity on the internet, and by eliminating that we strive to take that first step towards building meaningful connections.
I'm intrigued. May I ask how many active participents/members you currently have on your server? If you'd rather not say, I understand. I'd love to get involved with an active community where I can get in on some games as a player or DM. I enjoy both equally (well, maybe 60/40 PC/DM). Love the concept.
