Want to be a hero, but not a superhero? Crave the real danger and possibility that your character might not actually make it out of this one alive? Ready to roll with real dice and use an actual, paper character sheet? Just might have a game for you:
After a 1 year D&D 5e campaign ended, I am looking to make the move from player to DM. I'd like to use the Shadowdark Ruleset. It is a fantastic, fast 'n lite system that any 5e player will have no problem adjusting to.
3 players from the campaign I was a player in will join us, but I'd like to invite 2 to 3 more players to join us.
Here are the details:
Date and Time: Every Wednesday beginning promptly at 8:00 PST and ending promptly at 10:00 PST (short and sweet sessions)
Voice: Discord
VTT: Owlbear Rodeo (no need to download anything, as it is browser-based)
Dice: Physical rolls with the honor system
Characters: We'll roll 'em up at the Zero Session (and yes, that plural is on purpose)
Gamestyle: As the other players will attest, I was not a very 'tactical' player and I don't expect to be that way as a DM. Our last campaign was a brilliant mix of combat (duh!) and intriguing roleplay (yeah, we all used funny voices and really got deep into our characters). I was the whimsical one as a player, and I expect that will be evident in my DM-ing (although this is meant to be a serious game)
