My fellow adventurers! Bring your 11th level character and face the mighty giants.
Giants are on the loose and out of control. They emerged one day from the depths of the mountains, towering over the tallest trees, their footsteps shaking the very earth. and started attacking villages across Faerûn, leaving a trail of destruction in their wake. Amidst the despair, a flicker of hope remains. A small group of adventurers has been chosen by the council of nobles to stop these attacks. Do YOU have what it takes to answer the call and take a stand against those mighty foes.
This campaign consists of three connected adventures for a group of four to six 11th level player characters. It was written by Gary Gygax in 1978 and updated as part of Tales from the Yawning Portal. Do NOT underestimate the enemy! Character death is a serious possibility. I expect players to be smart about the decisions they make.
How to prepare • Bring an 11th level character (and maybe a backup character) • Microphone required. Make sure it is working properly before the session. • Webcam not required but greatly recommended (I like to see my players). • Discord account required (free). • Roll20 account required (free). • D&D Beyond account required (free). Install the Google Chrome Beyond20 extension for ease of play.
How will character creation work
Create a character on D&D Beyond and level up to LEVEL 11
Use Point Buy or Standard Array
Any material from officially published 5e books are allowed to create characters, as long as they’re set in the Forgotten Realms, such as the following:
Player’s Handbook
Sword Coast Adventurer’s Guide
Xanathar’s Guide to Everything
Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything
Mordenkainen’s Multiverse of Monsters
Any player material from adventure books
NO EVIL CHARACTER ALLOWED
NO FLYING RACES
NO HOMEBREW
Add the following:
(3) permanent magic items of Rare level. One of them can be a Very Rare item
Up to (4) consumable magic items of Common/Uncommon level - (Spell Scroll level 1-3)
Standard class equipment
(3) greater healing potions
5000gp to purchase spell components and other materials
