I am a DM and have been running a campaign for 6 months. We meet every single week, same time and have highly committed players and have only had a few absences during this time. I've recently had a player leave the campaign and I am interested in filling their spot to get us back to 6 players.
I am looking for a player who is comfortable with the role play aspect of the game, I aim for a balanced game but definitely have emphasis on story, RP, and character interactions with regular combat of challenging and easy degrees. Player must be reliable and able to meet weekly, have a quiet environment to be able to speak on voice chat, and comfortable speaking up. We require respect and have a chaotic good alignment for the party, no evil characters.
Our campaign is a HEAVILY modified Ghosts of Saltmarsh. Much of the main story is homebrew, but the quests and setting of Satlmarsh are the center. Setting is a rainy coastal town on the edge of the world, Saltmarsh. The town with creepy secrets, pirates, warring political powers, and monsters of the deep. Land and ship adventures to come!
We play Mondays at 5pm PST/6pm MST/7pm CST/8pm EST and generally run 2-4 hours.
HOW? Online! I’ll be using discord (voice chat/mics required) and roll20
Players should be fun and okay to chat before the game, I’ll want to get to know your personality and play style to make sure you’re a good party fit. I want everyone to have fun and feel comfortable. All players are welcome, I just ask that players be 17+ for schedule and party fit purposes
As for the new player, the existing party will be starting a quest which involves boarding a ship and sailing to fight pirates. This is under the decree of the Royal Navy whom the party owes a debt to. You will be among their crew that they are given by the Royal Navy to help succeed in this mission. We will see how you fit with the party and if you and the party enjoy the quest, we will be happy to have you continue on after this quest
