In a realm outside time, sits a series of worlds connected via a giant metaphysical and literal tree. This is Yggdrasil, the Realm of the Gods. Long ago, before Mankind began, and after all life ended, the Gods were at War.
Odin, King of the Gods fell by Blade. Thor, by Fang... one by one, over the eons long war the Gods of Asgard fell... but Yggdrasil exists outside time. The Gods have not yet been born again. The Norns search endlessly for the new forms of the Gods. They may not be the Gods they used to be, but they yet have a Spark of Divinity within them.
