Hello! I posted here a loooooong time ago. So long I cannot even find the thread any more. But I am still hoping to find a group to play with. I'm going to provide as much information as possible. Feel free to private message me or post questions here. I'll answer as I can.

Paid?: PLEASE do not approach me with PTP games. I'm not willing to pay for social interaction. 

Name: Crystal (Crys is fine)

Age: 34. I'd like to play with people around* the same age. Like within 10 years, really. (My IRL group is all in their 20s).

Gender: Female. I don't care what my group is (though I would prefer not to be the only one who doesn't identify as male)

Experience: 3 oneshots and currently playing 1 campaign that meets every other week. DM never told us what he's running, but I believe it's Shadow of the Dragon Queen. I'm comfortable playing with newbies or experienced people. Provided of course everyone is patient and okay with questions being asked.

Role: Player. I'm willing to play just about any class, but casters are my favorite. I'm not really comfortable DMing at this time.

Looking For: Kind of just a long time group to play with? I kind of want to explore the official materials (particularly  books set in the Forgotten Realms). I looking more for a campaign, but I'd be willing to run through some oneshots - especially in a group still finding it's footing with the game. I'm less certain of homebrewed settings, but willing to listen or hear people out. I am looking for a DnD experience, though. Not a DnD flavored experience.

Platforms: I'd prefer to stay on DnD Beyond. It's just the most intuitive. However, I do also have a Roll20 account. I have Discord as well for communication. Other than that, you can ask, but I don't want to have accounts all over the internet, you know? I am looking for a distance game/online game.

Audience Rating: PG-13? I feel like this was important to include. I'm not really here for the super mature/gory/whatever stuff. But I'm an adult okay with adult content. I swear and stuff.

Seriousness: Moderate. I'm here to play and have fun! I want to follow the rules, but not to the point it sucks all the fun out of the game. So if the rules completely don't matter . . . I'm not interested. But like homebrew rules like feat at first level, bonus ability points as prefered intstead of by race, etc is fun. I want an adventure or adventures with ups and downs. I don't want a hyper silly, ridiculous campaign, nor a super strict or depressing one.

Game Style: Balanced with roleplaying, puzzles, and combat. I like all of it. I would need a good understanding in advance of how detailed to be with my charactes. (I ask a lot of questions)

Availability: My work schedule is STUPID. But here's the best I can break it down.

Every: M, T, W, F, S, Su between 9AM-12PM EST

Every Other: M, W, Th, F, S, Su evening, very flexible. Let's say 6 PM to whenever EST

NEVER: Tuesday evenings, it's my IRL game night. Thursday mornings.

I'd like to meet at least once a month or more.

At the risk of damaging (or improving) my reputation . . . I also play BG3 and Critical Role. I have a better understanding than most newer players when it comes to picking up the differences, though. =p I mostly use them as an illustration point when I'm asking questions.

Just wanted to drop an update that I am still looking for a group to fit into! I aslo wanted to mention that while I do have a discord, I would prefer to discuss some basic details through DMs first. For example, I don't want to just get 'give me your discord and we'll discuss' as a response or invite. I kind of want to have a little interview process before I share more contact information. Just a personal preference.

I also wanted to add that it is my preference to not join an ongoing campaign. I know how to play and have a solid grasp on the basics, but I'm not ready from a roleplaying perspective (or confidence) to fill a slot in an ongoing game!

Still looking for a group.

I wanted to add two other things.

1. I'm not looking a huge group. 4-5 players plus a DM is more than enough. I don't want to play with like 10 people (aside from being overwhelming the combat would take FOREVER).

2. I'm giving out my discord like crazy. We can have a brief chat/interview process through DMs before moving to discord. I know discord is more convenient, but for the introductory round it just seems like overkill.

I believe I have found a group for the time being (but I may want to add in the future so don't count me out yet).

I am, however, CONSIDERING dipping my toes in the DM pool.

For clarity, I will not be running any campaigns anytime soon. I am considering running some simple one-shots or short adventures with a focus on helping people get more comfortable with the game. I have not been playing terribly long myself, so I'd be pretty easy-going and I'm not looking to run intense games. It would be very trial and error for me. So I'd be running for either relatively new players OR patient experienced players who would be interested in helping someone learn to DM.

I will likely be using either theatre of the mind or potentially Roll20 or AboveVTT. I have not looked into a tabletop extensively yet. A discord account and microphone would be required, but you do not have to share it with me right away if you don't want to.
