I wanted to edit his post since we got a group together and started playing .
Thanks to all that posted and special thanks for those that joined our group.
Greetings and Salutations,
I am looking to join a group and play on-line Sunday Nights (maybe starting at 7:00pm). I have never played on-line, so I may need to be brought up to speed on software and the like. My computer is brand new so hardware should not be an issue.
I am an OG and started playing D&D in the early 80's. I have only played D&D 5e a few times recently. I like a good mix of combat and role playing, puzzle solving, and exploring.
I have a Tiefling Warlock level 1 that I am dying to try out. Character was made here at DnDBeyond so it should be accurate.
I am a Dungeon Master of approx 38 years and I too grew up playing in the 80's. I have blended and evolved my style to accommodate the game over the decades. I love a mix of story and confrontation as well.
Thanks @Academic. Was great getting to know you. We got my friends character done ( Lustaff) so just waiting on the others and Ill be able to lock down a time to start our first session.
Thanks for replying to my post so quickly. I wasn't sure if I would get any traction on this post.
Since I have never played on line before is there any hardware or software I would need to get before we have our first session?
Would a gaming headset be recommended?
Is there any cost associated with our sessions?
I will be able to start on Sunday July 21st or later if that works for you... I work retail and we have physical inventory tomorrow night.
I watched your video and super excited to start playing on line. I dropped my character into the campaign link. Look him over and see if he is appropriate for the game.
If interested in AD&D 2E/1E online Fantasy Grounds...This is an invite to starting a 2E/1E campaign set in the Great Kingdom of Aerdy, 582 CY. The time will be Sunday Evenings Arizona Time (PST in summer, MST in winter). The 582 CY setting will bridge between the 1983 Box Set (576 CY) and the 1992 From the Ashes set (585 CY). The location (for those familiar with Greyhawk) is the Grandwood Forest, located in eastern Aerdy (the Great Kingdom). Rules will be the core books of 2E, as well as the Complete Race/Class books (I have some, not all, but am willing to accept gifts of any I don't own). Player characters will be denizens of the Grandwood or the Lone Heath. If these locales are not familiar, please wiki them. PCs should be of wilderness-rustic ilk, elves, rangers, outlaws, druids, woodsmen, barbarians, runaway nobles hiding out, and the like. Alignments are best in the CG corner (NG, CG, CN, and true neutral). We will start out at level 1. The Grandwood is an idyllic island of peace loving rustic types, surrounded by cities rules by cruel, despotic tyrants.
I will be using Guilded for voice and chat, rather than Discord. If you are not familiar, the link is http://www.guilded.gg. Server name Rauxes. If Discord AndyPete.

Hey. I just saw this. Want to connect?
I am a Dungeon Master of approx 38 years and I too grew up playing in the 80's. I have blended and evolved my style to accommodate the game over the decades. I love a mix of story and confrontation as well.
If you want to get a feel for my style you can check out my YouTube channel and see me talk about my hobby. https://www.youtube.com/@maverickgames9551
I am looking for a older group of players who appreciate the game in the same way I do.

How do I join a game?
BTW, I already have some characters made up.
Campaign Link.
There will be a session zero so don't get too attached to your character or at least be prepared to work on it some more with me
