Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online, preferably voice only Experience: a few years or veteran Location/Timezone: we have a player in EST, a player in UTC, a player in UTC+1, and a player in UTC+2 --> As such, we usually like to play on weekends (more or less 6PM UTC time) so that we can cater to everyone's timezones Availability: Weekends, starting September Preferred role: DM Game style: Hey everyone, you can call me Arya. My friends and I have been playing together for a couple of years and we are looking for a new DM since our previous one had to step away due to personal circumstances. We are looking for a fun game that mixes the gritty and epic emotions of high fantasy with the goofy and chaotic fun of DnD (think the vibes of the Vox Machina animated season, which has both very serious and exhilarating moments, as well as a lot of rule of cool shenanigans).
We would like to start with a simple one shot as a trial run, and if the vibe check passes, we would love to go for an actual campaign.
We tend to like homebrew and a bit of rule of cool, so we very much appreciate flexible DMs who are willing to collaborate to craft epic stories.
Please not we are all approximately 25 years old and would prefer a DM who is not too far from us in age.
If interested in giving us a chance or if you have any questions, please send me a message :D
I've got a campaign and a One shot I've been wanting to do with some chaotic fun individuals. My one shot is based during early 19th century earth hunting for pirate treasure but the campaign is a homebrew universe filled with more, locations, organizations and people. Not to mention a whole world anvil page dedicated to lore about the world, deities and a full world map. The campaign is purposefully designed for Vox Machina shenanigans. Let me know if you and your friends are interested and I'll happily explain more about the one shot and campaign.
Also I'm 24, completely open to homebrew items, spells and player races as long as I get a copy of the homebrew. One such homebrew rule I use is the rule of cool. So if it's cool enough, like back flipping off a wall to land on a horse running by, your chances off success are a lot higher. That rule is purely to make the game more fun
