System: 5e, preferably with a DM open to 2024 PHB options
VTT/Communication: Online, Discord for VC. I can figure out whatever VTT system you want to use.
Experience: 2 years of in-person play
Timezone: US Central
Age: 30's
Schedule: Thursday nights starting at 5:30-6pm
Play Style: Combat and RP focused with a desire for meaningful story and character development. Indifferent on puzzles, don't mind them if they're well-designed. I like regular and reasonably challenging combat encounters but I am not into long dungeon-crawls done just for their own sake. Not interested in a campaign with meme/joke characters - I am all for laughs at the table but not at the expense of exploring a character and creating good stories together. I am cool with taking a leadership or "face" role for the party sometimes if need be but I don't want to be the only one who takes initiative. Absolutely not interested in any PvP. Open to intraparty dramatic conflict if all the players involved are on board with exploring that story. Not interested in any intraparty romance. I don't mind losing a character if it's "for a good reason" (dying in an fight that's important to the plot is one thing, dying because nameless goblin rolled a lucky crit is another). I would prefer Faerun or another official setting so I can read up on lore, but I am not against a homebrew world as long as the DM has a firm enough idea about things for me to figure out how my character fit in. I am looking to join a party that wants to be heroes. Flawed heroes are fine, but I am not interested in being a murderhobo or a lot of "moral grayness."
