In honor of D&D's 50th anniversary, I ran a session of original D&D for players of 5e who wanted to see how the game was played 50 years ago. We had a great time but didn't quite get to the dungeon! We will be playing again this Friday to wrap things up and have room for 1-3 additional players.
We're using the original 1974 version of the game with three classes: Fighting-men, Clerics, and Magic-Users. Available races are: Humans, Elves, Dwarves, and Hobbits! All rules will be taught.
The merchant's guild has hired your merry band to investigate attacks on caravans as they pass through the grand swamp. Survivors report being attacked by small yipping dog headed creatures. We will roll up characters at the start of the session (takes 5-10 minutes) and then head off for glory and adventure!
We are using Roll20 for dice and maps and discord for video and voice.
If interested send me a message with the following:
Can you confirm that you can and will do video?
How long have you been playing table-top RPGs?
What is the oldest version of D&D you have played?
I would like to join this campaign. I can do discord video, my username is lenochaun. I’m newer to the game and on the younger side. My character is a Wood Elf Wizard/Druid. I have only played in 3 dnd campaigns, a few days if you tally up all of the time together, but never completing them. The oldest version of dnd I have played is 5e. I look forward to possibly playing in this campaign. I don’t have my own dice, so hopefully I can either have someone roll for me or use the standard variation thing.
