Play Location/Method: Via Discord Game/System: D&D 5e Player or GM? I'm the DM for the game.
Time/Frequency: Every Thursday from about 7pm-10pm EST or later depending on how peeps are feeling. I know weeknights are difficult, please reach out only if you will be able to be pretty consistent. *Further info is below, see note at the bottom*
Campaign Name: Echoes of The Ancients Genre: Medieval Fantasy with some tech mixed in. World is very close to large scale electricity, nobles and royalty have it. Firearms are a smidge beyond flintlock, close to civil war era America. Current needs: I'm looking for 2 experienced players(at least 2ish+ years) willing to hop into a pre-existing game. When I say pre-existing I mean that the party is level 13(you will start at 13), has some crazy boons***(check bottom), and has completed more than a couple quests. We are currently in the middle of some big lore and plot stuff going on. If this doesn't bother you, great, glad to hear it. Accept Drop-In/Temporary Players? No. Accept Spectators? I don't really have much of an issue with it, but if you're coming to spectate, I ask you stay silent and don't interact with the party to prevent interruptions.
Short description of the setting/campaign: This is a homebrew world to preface. The party has come together to combat evil forces awakening in the world. From cultists attempting to awake beings of old, to otherworldly beings attempting a hostile takeover of the Prime Material, the world is at a turning point, with the party at the center of it all. The land of Eternia is changing, and seemingly not for the better.
For a bit of info about me, my name is Moon, I'm 25, and I've been DMing for about 1.5 years now, and been a player for about 3. I started up my own campaign that was just for fun and where I learned the most about Dming. I started up Echoes Of The Ancients about a year ago, which is my 2nd campaign. Both are currently ongoing. I'm very laid back with my DM style, I try not to make too much of a fuss about things. Rule of cool is very important to me, I want to bring out people's creativity. As much as I know DnD, I still mess up on occasion with some rulings, so I try to do my best to be fair, as sometimes things are lame in RAW. I love working with the player to craft their future, bringing the character to life is something I really enjoy as I have personally had not so good character development experiences.
Side note about the game. As I am a "newer" DM, I'm still working on creating my own magic items and keeping them balanced. I don't intentionally make things too strong, but sometimes I mess up and an ability is a bit too powerful. The party has found some powerful items over their adventures, which does unbalance things for newer players, and I apologize for that.
I want to make a note. We are all adults, and stuff happens all the time, so I do get it, but I want to be clear I'm hoping to have you play more often than not. While I of course don't want to exclude anyone, if you are in the EU/Asia, if you want to apply, please, please be willing to stay up that late. I have encountered multiple players(they've been amazing, no hate) that consistently don't make it, and end up dropping out. I understand the time difference is rough, I do, but please understand. If you feel this would be an issue, I ask you not to apply. Some of the party members won't be able to make it, and we will either not have session, or play without them. I don't want to leave anyone behind, but it isn't fair to the rest of the party that 1-2 out of 7 of you can't play, so we all don't. We do recaps every session to avoid any missing info. If this is an issue for you, I also ask that you not apply.
DM me with some background info about you, your experience with DnD, your playstyle, and any questions.
Thanks, Moon.
***(new players are compensated with items and the ability to obtain some of said boons, so don't fret about being weaker than the other members)
Closed. Thank you for any that applied.
