Hi all, my name is Sparky and I'm just starting out in D&D. I've dabbled in reading about it for years but I didn't know anyone who played it and I had no idea there were these forums for introducing players and games.
Game: D&D 5e Group preferred: Online Experience: New - I've recently played my first game on Saturday with six people in total. It was a really great experience and a lot of fun. I feel a lot more confident over ability checks and combat rolls. I probably could have gotten more involved in detailing things my character was doing. That's something I'm taking on board for next time. Prior to this, I was briefly part of a small group playing Pathfinder but after a handful of games, the group lost touch. Aside from these, I've only really dabbled in the solo adventures so I could practice the rolls and combat process. (I do like the solo adventures aspect for in between group games when the mood strikes.) Location/Timezone: UK. GMT-0 Availability: Friday evenings or Saturdays Preferred role: Player Game style: Medieval fantasy is my preference rather than anything futuristic sci fi. That said anything set in Victorian period etc sounds pretty interesting too. I've created a load of characters on D&D Beyond - I'm still developing their personalities and histories but skill sets wise etc, they are pretty much ready to go.
