Hey friends - I just post two exciting new 5e home-brew adventures over on Startplaying. I’ve been a DM for 30 years and a professional filmmaker for almost as long.I love D&D and want to play as much as possible. Please check out my games.
Orcs Kidnapped Your Dog!
This one is tailored for newbies but would also be fun for experienced players as well. It’s for for ALL AGES.I love DMing with kids and parents together.
I have two time slots for this game. It’s 18+ and is a lot of fun to play. It’s set in modern day Los Angeles but your hero comes from the world of Dungeons & Dragons… for the most part.
Game: D&D 5e Group type: Online Experience: 30 year veteran Location/Timezone: pacific Schedule: games available Monday, Wednesday and Thursday at 10am Roles sought: Looking for 3 to 6 players Game style: I like to laugh a lot when I play. I also strive for interesting stories and have cool battles.
If they are each gonna play a character, which is what I highly recommend for parents and kids playing together, then yes they should sign up for two slots.
I'll email you directly but it sounds like maybe the Monday 10am Orcs Kidnapped Your Dog might be best for you.
I used to play the basic set and AD&D in the 80s and 90s as well so I can say that for me the game is very much the same but the mechanics have changed and take a little getting used to. But in no time it will all come back to you and you'll be DMing for your family.
I use Startplaying as the way to sign up and pay for the sessions but I'll email that to you. I makes things easier to go through them.

my friend is looking for a first game for his 12-yo son and the dog one looks fun. if they did it, would they sign up for two slots or just one?
Im interested in any of the above, I am retired disabled looking to have fun meet new people, roleplay, kill time and have some fun online.
I am in the pacific timezone also so any or all of these sound perfect.
I used to play a lot as a kid/teenager but a lot I assume has changed since then so want to start out at the bottom and learn as I go,
as eventually would like to bring in my older children, 16,23, 27 and 31 or DM for them as well.
If it matters I am a full sub to D&D beyond and could help some with any costs?
Thanks, not sure how the sign up works but will be checking back at least daily.
