Hello! I'm a player in an online D&D 5e group that started during the pandemic. It's run through a game cafe (Hex & Co), so we pay the DM to run the game (the DM is employed by the cafe). Our group was originally 6 people, but one person moved out of the country and another had scheduling conflicts, so we're now at 4, which isn't enough for the game cafe to keep it running. We really love our group and would like to keep our current DM, and are looking for 1-3 more consistent people to join order to make that possible. This will be a brand new campaign, so if you join, you will also be a part of deciding the setting, etc. from the beginning. Likely, it will be in the world of Greyhawk. We are ready to start back up after the holidays if we've found another party member or so!
Ruleset: 5e
Timing: 7-11pm ET
Schedule: Every Thursday, except holidays
Where: We play on Discord (for voice) and Roll20.
Play Style: Our play-style tends to focus on role-playing, though we also have plenty of fights/encounters. We don't take ourselves too seriously and enjoy a bit of silliness (but not ridiculous - think BG3 vibes), but also love to commit to character and the story!
Experience: All levels of experience are welcome! Our DM is super knowledgeable and can walk you through character creation/mechanics, etc. We've all been playing for 4 years and he has DM'd much longer than that.
Note: This is an 18+ campaign as it contains alcohol, violence, sexual themes etc. (we're all in our 30s to early 40s). This game is LGBTQ+ friendly, so sexism, homophobia, transphobia, hate, etc. of any kind is not welcome.
