I have a big D&D discord server that is starting to really take off. We are getting to the point where games are fairly regularly being hosted on it. We are looking for new players for those games and new DMs to host even more games. We are aimed to be a discord server for new players to learn the game, but have games exclusively for experienced players sometimes as well. We mostly only play 5e but some people know other versions and systems. Most of the DMs use roll20 to host the games but some use text based or theater of the mind. We are about to have two new long term campaigns opening up for people to join on Saturdays. We are also very lgbtq+ heavy. Come check us out!
Edit 11/3/2018 - We now have over 400 people in the server. Also, to be clear, this server heavily enforces no homophobia, racism, transphobia, etc.

Notes: Locking thread due to user complaint. PM me with questions.
I started playing D&D for a few months now but still learning. Is this a join the server in the link and find a group from there or talk first and go from there? This seems like a good group.
New game that involves Pokemon is going to be starting up on Tuesdays! Get in on it before the spots fill up.
Also we've been getting some people in the server that get themselves immediately banned lately. I don't know if people are trolling for attention or what but we have very active mods and most of the time people get banned before anyone that's not a mod even sees what was said.
I must admit some curiosity. I genuinely enjoy playing and helping with new players. I'm currently in two campaigns and sometimes need that itch scratched between them. I'm also experienced with playing guest PC's that may only exist for one/two sessions to help the main cast of players.
I joined, got kicked with no reason or explanation, joined again, kicked again with no explanation, joined again, asked why do i keep being kicked i haven't done anything then i get banned. If i was breaking a rule, kicking me with no explanation certainly doesn't fix anything. I would not recommend joining this server, as you get kicked before you even type anything, or have time to read the rules.
I tried to join, but I got kicked after saying I don't hate anyone. One of the mods replied saying that they hate the people who run conversion camps, to which I said that I don't hate those people (like I had said before, I don't hate anyone) and that I thought they were just confused. They asked me to elaborate, but before I could finish typing they kicked me. (btw I'm quadriplegic, and typing is rather difficult without full use of your hands) So I'll try to do it here. I don't approve of homophobia at all, but I won't hate someone because they think that way. There are plenty of good people who have that mindset. They shouldn't be hated for it, because they may not always keep that mindset. In the rules there is a heavy emphasis on maintaining a safe space, but there is hypocrisy within it. Neutrality is apparently not allowed. I'm not thrilled about having to look elsewhere for friends, but I can't stop the people in that server from shunning everyone who doesn't feel exactly the same as they do. What I Can do is speak out, and say I think it's wrong, then move on.
So I joined the discord....and this is the most unaccepting community I have ever seen, literally.
I read all 12 rules. introduced myself. I was asked what "subby" means and said, Subaru WRX baby! I then waited a minute + and got no response. So I figured...maybe I said something wrong. I said, "sorry, I get excited sometimes." Subaru's are amazing as well as having an amazing community. Anyway, I got kicked. I rejoined about 20m later, reintroduced myself. I was told why I was removed and apologized for it again and tried to let the community know I didn't mean to infer anything by it. And was kicked again.
Wow...It's not like I want to be part of a community that is incredibly noninclusive, but I do want to communicate with other dnd folks to play some dnd. How disappointing this was for me and I wanted to share this experience with everyone so you can make your decision before joining a place like this.
This is literally the least inclusive LGBTQ+ Discord I've ever seen. Apparently, if you have a Steam Account, even if it isn't linked to your Discord, the creepy stalker mods will track it down anyway and look at your past usernames. If ANY of your past usernames are even remotely inappropriate, such as DorseHick, even if it was just an inside joke between you and your friends, you are apparently infringing on their "safe space". Who the **** would be able to call that a safe space, when privacy apparently means nothing to these people? Plus, apparently people with dyslexia or just can't read a wall of text within the span of 20 minutes aren't allowed either.
Tl;Dr: Don't join, they're ableist and don't respect anyone's privacy.
If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor.
If you had actually read everything he put, you would know that he just doesn't choose to hate people. It's weird that people like you think you're the tolerant ones.
The mods of who gets in and denied are ridiculously, wrong, and the real problem with society. They hate everyone that doesn't believe the exact same things they do...awesome

Do you have games during the week at night?
Currently we do not but we hope to soon. A huge group of people joined recently and some of them are working on campaigns with dates to be determined.
Any GMT sessions? I'm very excited at the idea of playing with a group with fellow LGBTQ players!

We are getting a lot bigger, we currently have 5 games going on and new ones starting more and more often

For some reason the discord link isn’t working :( can you repost the invite so I can join?

Same here! If anyone knows anything let me know!
I’m newish to the game and would love to play!

Perhaps stating age requirements in the description would be helpful too please :,)
