I am writing this sitting at our usual table at the Prancing Pony, puffing at my pipe. According to the latest tidings I received, you are many miles away south, riding with the Horse-lords. I trust you brought a good supply of Old Toby! If you didn’t, you are going to miss your northern Lone-lands much more bitterly, I assure you.
When I took up the pen, my intention was to elaborate on the reasons why I counseled you not to go to Gondor, yet. You know what troubled me… the Steward is a wise man, and won’t waste any time in putting your talents to good use, but his firstborn son is about your age. Denethor is valiant and proud. I feared that this might lead him to ignore your counsel, if not to resent it.
Then, I remembered what I have to tell myself from time to time… the task I chose is to inspire the enemies of Sauron, and to push them to action. I am not here to rob them of their freedom of choice. They say that even the Wise cannot see all ends! So, who am I, certainly not the wisest, to tell you what you should do? Only you can decide what to do with the time that is given you.
Please accept one word of advice though, something that I have learnt in more than one adventure: do not face your challenges alone, and choose your companions wisely. There are many brave souls among the various Free Peoples of the World who can join you in your struggle: Elves, Dwarves, and Men. Even the little folk of the Shire may prove useful. They certainly did prove useful to me! A good friend of mine discovered too late that there is more to those amazing creatures than you would credit them for. I hope you will not commit the same mistake.
Perhaps it is simply the folly of youthful energy pushing me to see places and try things my elders think not worth the effort. Perhaps it is a soul's desire to seek the light that the mind is not yet ready to bare itself to, and thus a nearly insatiable wanderlust. Regardless, I keep going, keep finding new things to see. I have found beauty in isolated spaces, yes, but also in the acts of men towards each other, even while they would move to exclude me.
The wonders that exist in this world seem innumerable. How could I not seek out as many as I can find?
Of course you were right, and these men do not want my counsel. I am certain you remember the sunset over the hills where they build their homes, the rippling muscular movement of their horses, and the laughter of their children. All are beauty I have added to my collection. I hope to find more before my feet lead me elsewhere again.

Your letter reached me at the edge of the plains of Rohan, where the winds carry the scent of earth and freedom. Though the songs of the Horse-lords echo proudly here, I find myself longing for the simple pleasures of the Prancing Pony—a warm fire, a good pint, and the familiar scent of Old Toby filling the air. My pouch grows lighter by the day, a lesson I shall not soon forget.
Your words, as always, are as steady as the foundations of Orthanc itself—though, hopefully, without its ominous weight. I see now the wisdom in your concerns about Gondor. The Steward’s pride, though understandable, could well blind him to truths that come from a stranger’s lips. Boromir, I suspect, is no less a mirror to his father in this. Yet, I believe there is great strength within him, should he choose to wield it wisely.
You are right, of course, that the road ahead must not be walked alone. The Free Peoples are a tapestry woven from threads of courage and wisdom, each vibrant in its own way. I have already seen how even the smallest of folk can carry the greatest of burdens. Your tales remind me that it is not always strength of arm, but strength of heart, that can turn the tide.
For now, I will heed your counsel and trust in those who stand beside me. Whatever comes, I shall carry your words as both sword and shield against the shadows that seek to overtake us. May our paths cross again soon, for there are stories to share and songs yet unsung. Until then, I remain,
To the Esteemed Mithrandir, Keeper of Wisdom and Light,
It is with a mix of humility and resolve that I would accept your request if you would gladly have my sword and bow. Your words, as always, bear a weight of purpose and vision that one cannot ignore. Though I know the road ahead will be fraught with peril and uncertainty, I trust in your guidance and the wisdom that has shaped this endeavor.
The tales of your foresight and courage have inspired many, myself included. To walk even a small part of this path alongside you is an honor I dare not refuse. Whatever challenges await, I pledge to meet them with steadfast determination and an open heart.
Please let me know where and when we shall convene to set this journey into motion. My gear is prepared, and my resolve is firm.
I hope this finds you in perseverance and prosperity. Your guidance has once again found me and enlightened me on a much more logical and thoughtful path than I once might have taken. The path ahead seems dismal and bleak. I wouldn't wish it upon anyone I know. And yet, seeking companions may be the only way forward. I assure you, unlike previous attempts at heroics, I shall respect your word and seek help.
You truly inspire courage in us all, including us who have just stepped onto the wilds of Arda. I don't imagine the credit you receive will ever suffice for your everlasting wisdom however, let it be known, it could only have been you who has made myself into the man I am today. See you on the battlefield.
Your newest friend,
T'wo P.
(I know very little about lord of the rings and dnd, however am incredibly interested in joining this campaign!)
I have attempted to contact everyone who has posted about this opportunity. I still have a couple of spots open at this table. We're going through the LOTR movies right now so this might be your last chance to get involved. Sessions will be Sunday at 12PM EST. Please make sure your time zones are compatible with when the sessions are scheduled. Thank you.
I have returned to my humble hovel in Archet after a lovely day of fishing to find your most peculiar letter in my mailbox. You know there is something so peaceful as to let the sun warm the day and dry the grass of the morning dew as one patiently waits for the fish to start biting. The quiet lapping of the water on the banks and shores makes it all the more rewarding. While at first I thought it might contain news from my cousin in Michael Delvin, I found myself confused as I read on (and had to reread it several times before I came to the conclusion that it must have been mis-delivered).
So, I return your letter and this note to formally inform you of the mishap. I hope you may still reach your intended parties in time.
P.S. While I have at times had occasions to have a drink at the Prancing Pony (the green ale is my go to favorite) I can not say I recall any meeting with you nor our ‘usual table’. Perhaps in the future, should we indeed meet in person, then may we share a smoke together and you can share your news. Until that day however, I bid you good day. (What was that saying I heard once, ah yes, “May your eyries receive you at your journey’s end.”

8pm EST Tuesday is a much more agreeable time for me than 12 Sunday.
Mae Govannen, my journeys have taken me far by the time your letter has reached me. It has been a long and arduous journey, and I am eager to hear fair news if there be any to be had. Though I am some week's journey from Rivendell at the moment, I hope our paths may cross again soon. I have seen things, things which require urgent council, and your wisdom would be most welcome.
I await your response and hope to speak with you again as we once did, as friends.
(I have been actively hunting for a LOTR campaign to play in and run one myself currently. Days/times listed work so well for me!)

Is the table full now, or is there still an opening? Would be interested in packing the 'ol pipe once more and pouring the good ale while slashing down those who apose. Discord: sirwhitlock
I hope this letter finds you well my friend. I was away patrolling the wilds when your letter came, hence my delayed response. I would be more than happy to join your friends in opposing the Enemy, as it is a task I do daily. I understand your point about Gondor, maybe if he does not go before the Steward he could help his son in his endeavors? I am sure he visits Pelargir if nothing else. Be that as it may I would very much like to aid these Companions you have sent before the Enemy.
if any spots are still available i would be interested in joining, the time and day works for me ive been looking for a lotr dnd cammpaign and would love to be in the campaign

Dear Starkiller,
I have received your correspondence. Please contact me on my Discord. These forums have the dark lord's spies.
I hope my letter finds you well. I'm sorry I haven't been able to get back to you, the Inn has been stocked up completely with adventurers and others. I'm running the Inn alone while my brothers are doing missions and other things, etc.
I've grown much since you last saw me. I'm taller now and have completely switched to a male. My hair is still cut short and is very messy from time to time.
Your letter has been on my desk for a while until just last night, when I opened it and read it. I realized just how elaborate the message you've been meaning for me to see for a while now has become. I might ask Xavier or Gale to take over the duties of the Inn so I can come accompany you or go off on my own. I just hope that you're alive and well.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go tend to Old Lady Terry, as she needs help getting out of bed once more.
Sincerely,
Danielle Autumn.
