I am looking to DM my first D&D campaign and I am looking for 4-6 players. Because this is my first foray as a DM, I’ll be making it easy on myself and starting off with “Dragons of Stormwreck Isle”. Nice and light to find my groove. Afterwards we’ll move into “Lost Caves of Phandelver”. Starting at level 1 and ending at 7. From there, we’ll move into another Adventure.
What I am looking for:
Mostly new players
One or two seasoned players (for input and keeping me honest)
I’d like to do in-person sessions if possible. Online as a backup
I live in Northern Edmonton AB. My place isn’t currently ideal for IRL sessions. So, we’ll probably meet at Warp 2 Comics & Games (near Yellowhead Hwy)
My intentions:
I’d like to develop my own supplements. So, anyone that joins this campaign will be play testing my material
I am currently working on my own homebrewed world. Once I feel that I have enough material, we’ll shift from premade Adventures to fully homebrewed.
Schedule
This will mostly be up to people’s schedules. Myself, I would prefer evenings (Alberta / Mountain Standard Time) on the weekend. I can do weekdays, but things could get tricky with work. I will push for weekly sessions. Biweekly doesn’t appeal to me. Far too much time passes between sessions. Yes, less likely to have burnout; however, player interest, investment and urgency is much lower.
Rules
For Stormwreck (ruleswise), we’ll stick to 5e and some House Rules. Afterwards, I’ll see about including some of the positive changes made by the 2024 Rules. I will release House Rules before Session Zero. At the moment, I have zero bans. If it’s official D&D content, it’s free to use. So, flying races casting Silver Barbs are free game. This also includes any Exandria content.
Also, for those that are interested, I’ve put together a Player Questionnaire, so I can shape and mold the campaign to the player’s likings. I will adjust my DMing to the desires of the players. If you, the players, want more RPing - we’ll do that. If you want to run and gun, hack and slash, then we’ll have a more combat focused campaign. I'm happy with the middle ground.
If you couldn’t tell, I like to keep things open and honest and I want your input.
I will start out by saying that I can do online but not in person.
I am an experienced player and have two friends that want to play dnd (both are fairly new) and are looking for a game on Sunday. We would be interested in joining if you are still looking for players. (There are 3 of us total. 1 experienced 2 newer)

At the moment, I have my six that are expressing interest for IRL; but, I still need to get everyone to the table. I'll keep you in the loop.
