Game: Paid Game - D&D 5e – The Lost City - Indiana Jones meets classic D&D in this dungeon crawl mystery. Group type: Online using Roll20 VTT and Discord for Voice/Chat Experience: All levels, beginners will be supported, experienced will be challenged. Location/Time zone: Pacific Standard Time Roles sought: Players Game style: I like to play gritty games where the players feel like mortals in dire straits yet have those moments to shine heroically. I love to build worlds that are dark and mysterious, yet punctuated by humor, hope, and a tasteful bit of silliness. I do deep world building and use lots of NPCs. I also love combat, and especially love introducing role playing, terrain, and other elements into combat to make it more interesting. 35 years xp as a Dungeon Master. I know how to run a fine game. Date/Time: Friday Evenings: 3-6pm PST/ 4-7pm MST/ 5-8pm CST/ 6-9pm EST/ 11pm- 2am GMT.
Indiana Jones meets pulp adventure in this dungeon crawl mystery. Strike out from your basecamp and descend into the dusty depths. Decipher engravings, plunder tombs, and discover the secrets of what happened to this fallen city.
You'll begin your adventure as first level characters. Beginners are very welcome, and experienced players will find my grasp of the rules and attention to detail satisfying. The Lost City features exploration and dungeon crawling, and a healthy dose of mystery and story. I absolutely love running this adventure, and I've labored to bring it to life with beautiful maps, lighting effects, and my own added story threads.
I foster an attitude of fun, teamwork and respect in all my games. There will be a session 0 where we take the time talk about what we want to get out of this campaign, and to tie our characters into the story, so they have story motivations and their own bits of useful information from the get go!
I take the time to find high quality maps and really great visuals. I set up engaging mood music for dramatic effect. I really put myself into role playing the NPC's and making the world feel alive. I play my monsters as characters in their own right, with motives, tactics, and a will to survive (except the ones that aren't so bright:))
Exciting news! We have 2 players signed up for the campaign.
Liam played a one shot with me about 6 months ago and was excited to get into a campaign. He's working on a concept for a Hobgoblin Warlock of the Genie:
Eddy has played 2 campaign with me,one currently a Chains of Asmodeus campaign where his character Arivia is pushing 16th level and ranging through the 5th layer of hell. He's yet to decide on a character concept for The Lost City.
Both are friendly team player and I'm excited they're the first to join. We just need a few more and we're off to adventure!
Fantastic news, we've a 3rd player onboard the pyramid:) Richard has played in 2 of my campaigns as Quincy Alterspeak the bard in the Blades of Phandalin Campaign, and as Mel the Curse in our Storm is Coming campaign. Both memorable characters and I'm thrilled to have Richard back again, as Millard, the Halfling Rogue!
Additionally, Eddy has decided to go Forge Cleric. So far we have:
4th player Xune joins us! Xune played a fine cleric in my Sunday Blades of Phandalin Campaign about a yearr ago. Stoked to be playing with her again in this new campaign. Current group stands at the following, looking for 2 more players!
Lugrog the Luckless, Hobgoblin Warlock
Millard, Halfling Rogue
Nephis Nathandem, Human Forge Cleric
Xune (Character name not picked yet:)), Earth Genasi Bard.
