Seeking Adventurers for Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden
Hi there! I've been running this campaign for over a year, and we're looking for new players to continue the journey. No prior D&D experience is needed—just bring good vibes and a genuine interest in playing!
Game Details: 🗓 When: Saturdays, 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM EST (weekly) 🎲 Level: Starting at Level 7 🏳️🌈 LGBTQ+ Friendly 📜 System: D&D 5.5e 🔞 Age Requirement: 18+
About the Campaign: Explore the frigid and perilous world of Icewind Dale in Rime of the Frostmaiden. This is a game where narrative depth, character development, and player collaboration shine.
What I’m Looking for in Players:
Supportive Roleplay: Encourage your fellow players during their scenes, and invite others to engage in yours. World Engagement: Create a character tied to the setting, its people, and its stories. A well-integrated character enhances the stakes and the fun! Adaptability: Embrace the highs and lows of the dice. Bad rolls happen—turn them into storytelling opportunities, or roll with it gracefully. Commitment: Be attentive, prioritize the game in your schedule, and take time to learn your character's mechanics. Respectfulness: Understand that this is a game meant for fun. Leave toxicity at the door.
How to Apply: Please share the following:
Your Discord username Your pronouns A brief idea of what you'd like to play Looking forward to hearing from all of you. Let’s create an unforgettable adventure together!
Idea: I'm not positive on the race yet, but I want to make a warlock/druid multiclass who has Psilofyr as his patron. In his backstory, he was originally just a druid but then his grove got attacked and either he was the only survivor, or Psilofyr helped his grove. I am not sure which yet. At this point he would come to serve Psilofyr. My idea is that Psilofyr wants him to spread the spores of the myconid more, but all of this stuff is subject to change. I have more details I can share as well as needed!
I'm not certain what I'd choose to play, as I haven't had a chance to play the 2024 rules yet, but likely wizard, cleric or ranger, maybe barbarian, depending on the party composition.
*edit, I've had some time to think up some character ideas
Wizard: I imagine they'd be on some kind of research mission for their mentor, maybe they have to find a macguffin for them, or perhaps there have been reports of magical anomalies, which my chaarcter is investigating.
Cleric: Maybe a local to The Dale? Not sure which deity, but probably related to the little amount of light that they get up the the cold north (maybe Twilight domain or Light domain?)
Ranger: Definitely a local, maybe a Dwarf, Human or Goliath? I imagine they have worked as a guide for people entering the region, and probably escorting supply runs.
Barbarian: 100% a Goliath, don't know what subclass, possibly one of the last of their tribe, on your run of the mill revenge quest.
I can also provide content sharing if you don't already have it, I have almost every 5e release, and I think I have a few 5.5e things as well.
But regardless, I hope whoever joins the campaign has a great time!
Class: Haven't played a Bard in a while, so I could go for that; either a Human or an Elf. I'm thinking of a noble's daughter who has been rather sheltered in life, and in a fit of youthful rebellion has decided to strike out on her own. I also have this Dex based Tiefling Fighter build that I've been meaning to try out.
Discord: PucktheLiar Pronouns: They/Them What I'd like to play: I'm super flexible with what I play. I'm a DM so I have a million character ideas for every class and species. I am favoring the idea of a Bard Noble lately. The trope is so interesting to me because I love the idea that time at court and learning to manipulate, entice, and delight your enemies and allies to gain advantages translates beautifully to the bardic style, especially College of Lore. However, like I said, I am open to any class and build that will fill a niche the party lacks.
Howdy, I'm Ank and I have very little practical experience in roleplaying and DnD in general, but I'm very willing to learn!
Discord: .ank. Pronouns: He/Him Class: I'd love to play a rogue of some sort, but I'd also be down to play into whatever it is the party needs, especially on the martial side of things.
Hi! I'm Naobi, I have a bit of prior DND experience in my belt, though I wouldn't consider myself truly "experienced". On the roleplay front I've been pretty involved in online RP scenes such as WoW for over a decade.
Discord: naobiluv Pronouns: She/They My idea for my character at the moment would be an Aasimar Forge Cleric, keeping the teams gear in check and tending to the camp when we're not knee-deep in comnbat!
Your Discord username: hustonj Your pronouns: he/him/fat old man/ugly/etc. A brief idea of what you'd like to play: I've been wanting to try a healer build of a Celestial Pact of the Tome Warlock. Aasimar just ties into the concept beautifully, but is optional. I could easily provide a more traditional combatant (melee or ranged) or skill monkey if it better serves the group interest.
