We're currently a few sessions in and lost a player, down from 4 to 3. We'd like 1-2 more players to continue as a group of 4-5.
🧙♂️🧝♀️🥷👤👤
The current remaining players and their characters are colourful folk, so I'm seeking strong personalities to bring new similarly colourful characters. And players are encouraged to come up with particularly strange NPCs.
For example, in the past I've had players with a symic hybrid, a grung, a tin man, three kobolds in a trench coat (separate players - was very cool), a badger, an armoured goose, a tree, and a loaf of bread.
🐙🐸🤖🥸🦡🪿🌳🍞
🏕 Setting: Homebrew with strong influence from high fantasy and old British fairytales.
You'd be unlikely heros, pitted against steep odds. The only defense against otherwise world-ending events. Levels 1-14ish.
🌋🌪☄️🌊💀😱
🌈 Tone: I've resigned myself to the inevitable; A very British, quirky dark humour scene one minute, and something out of a Benny Hill movie the next. In the past I've tried to run more serious classic sword and sorcery with a touch of gritty horror and (at most) gallows humour, but that's just not me apparently.

🌍 About the DM:
I'm a 37 year old bloke from Northumbria (NE England). As a person, I'm a bit odd, and that's also how I like my games.
As a player and a DM, I value immersion, verisimilitude, and diegetic gameplay. I prefer it when a world feels alive, actions have logical consequences, and progression is tied to the story. I enjoy resolving tasks like shopping or travel in-game, but I also love engaging mechanics, visual aids, and strongly prefer battlemaps over theater of the mind.
I rely relatively heavily on my prep, so I appreciate knowing what the party want to do from one session to another.
I'm very pro-homebrew. Especially well balanced and well written homebrew.
My preferences are only preferences. I'm not a total pushover DM, but I'm very flexible. I once ran a game in this homebrew setting with a grung who thought he was Steven Seagal. 🤷🏼♂️

I'm BrentBeltain on discord (and in real life) if you want to drop me a DM. I'll also check back here though.
Your day/time combo works perfect for me being based in the UK! Happy to make a char to fit the group needs as I have a few ideas! Sent you a request on discord!
