Looking for a healer/support character to join an established campaign set in a homebrew world. The party is currently 15 sessions in and the story concluding will probably need another 6-8 months. Your start date would be April. I wouldn’t say this isn’t a beginner friendly campaign, but this is not the place for someone trying the game for the first time or seeing if they like it. Looking for someone that knows what they like and meshes with the spirit of the campaign. General story is a world where Gods were created by humans at a time of high magic. Until now there’s been a low period of magic but now the telltale signs of a magic surge are happening for some reason for your character to figure out. There’s mystery. There’s dragons. And there’s the theme of the indomitable human spirit. When: Wednesdays, 7-10pm 3 times a month. 2 sessions in person and one online on Foundry VTT. We send out a poll to vote on days in advance. Who: The party is level 5 and comprises a Rogue, Paladin, and Fighter. Where: We play at a player’s house in Kirkwood, MO. Everyone in the party lives in West County and would prefer someone nearby that can reasonably attend and get home safely since we play late. What: 5e 2014 Rules + Tasha’s Cauldron of Everything. This is a roleplay-focused campaign with a core story and definitive end. Each player’s background and progression is tied into the world and the larger story to create a rich narrative experience where as the story unfolds the players realize how entrenched they are in it. I take particular focus with storytelling: narrating combat actions, writing NPC motivations, giving scene and travel descriptions, and doing a bad Russian accent. While I’m a writer first and foremost I’m cutting my teeth building encounters and currently the players are doing a dungeon crawl that is testing their resource management and I have created a hexmap for a hexcrawl the players (and likely you!) will be doing next. Disclosures: Everyone in this world and every PC right now is a human. I have taken some stats from races to create stat bonuses and make some human variations, but your character will need to be a human. We are a reliable group. We just lost a player due to life being too busy, but we’ve only cancelled a game twice because multiple people had pneumonia. This is a group that wants to see the story to the end and will make every session voted on without fail. Looking for the same. The Ideal Player: Has played DnD before. Has an idea of what things they can do, how combat runs, and how to interact with the world using dice. Isn’t embarrassed roleplaying and does not see roleplaying as a waste of time. Sessions routinely have 0 combat. Wants to play a healer Has a plotline or idea they want to explore and really get into their character. Has open Wednesday evenings to make the game reasonably and reliably. If this sounds like you, you can reach me on Discord: realfakeplant
