Game: D&D 5e (2024) Group type: Online Experience: veteran DM Location/Timezone: Eastern Standard Time Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday from 6 PM EST on (players decide on the night); sessions will last about 3.5 hours Roles sought: 3-6 players per group, who enjoy games that have an "Honor Among Thieves" vibe Game style: Planning, skill use, and roleplay are just as important as combat skills; RAW is my baseline but I make exceptions for really clever ideas
Hello all! My name is Matt and I have been running D&D groups since the late 80s. I am looking to build out my professional GM schedule and am hoping to find some players interested in partaking in a Level 1-20 Golden Vault campaign using the 2024 ruleset, mixing in both the published material as well as my own homebrew content and material built around the character's backstories. My rate is $20 USD per player per session, paid through Start Playing (my link: https://startplaying.games/gm/mpprpg). 18+ please.
Logistics: When we have at least three people, we can make a call on the day and time of the game and everyone will get a startplaying link. We'll be using my discord server for voice chat, Roll20 for maps and combat, and DnDBeyond for the character sheets. Session Zero will be getting the characters rolled up, determining backstories, and setting expectations and limits on content (lines, veils, etc.). You can use digital dice or roll physical ones (we use the honor system).
Campaign: Whether you are an expert at picking locks, coercing information, or good ol’ breaking noses, the mysterious Golden Vault saw the value of you as an operative and have recruited you and your party to perform acts of legit larceny, benevolent burglary, and permissible purloining in order to right wrongs and avenge injustice. And, sure, maybe make a butt-load of coins on the side. Based on the D&D module, Keys from the Golden Vault, you will undergo a series of trials and tribulations that test your wits and your steel. Undertake a series of increasingly difficult and challenging heists, testing your ability to not only plan ahead of time, but to think on your feet when those plans (occasionally) turn south. In addition to the published materials, there will be a series of adventures and events that are custom-made for your characters and their backstories, as well as a developing threat from a far more sinister organization that seems to have taken an unhealthy interest in the activities of your little group.
We have a game starting tomorrow night at 8 PM EDT; there are three players signed up, and we have room for three more. Anyone interested, feel free to sign up through my profile page, or you can reply to this thread and I will send you the link. Hope to see you there!
