Hello all! My name is Will. Not only am I an experienced DM with 10+ years behind my belt, but I'm a game designer in my spare time and have published several TTRPGs. Here is this game's elevator pitch:
Working nine to five is a heck of a way to make a living - especially when your work involves dealing with HR complaints from the Nine Hells, removing hexes on the Company's stock, and investigating occult corporate espionage!
Welcome to THE COMPANY, an enormous, hugely profitable mega-corporation set in a modern-day twist on The D&D world. On your first day you'll meet your co-workers, form an "Adventuring Party" (an archaic term for a company taskforce), and be assigned a variety of missions that will see you investigating the seedy underbelly of a modern metropolis, making deals with corporate devils, and travelling across the multiverse...! On public transportation, of course. THE COMPANY isn't made of money, after all!
I have run this campaign twice before, and in all honestly have had an amazing time with both parties. As a brief summary of my personal DMing: I love rolling with the punches, setting up mysteries, and try to tie character backstories into the worldbuilding whenever I can. Combat, puzzles, and exploration will be tailored to the party. I like combat that is a little less frequent than other games, but it mechanically challenging. That said, I enjoy running what the party enjoys most of all.
I am looking for a maximum of two more players, who must be able to play Thursday evenings at 20:00 GMT. Currently all players are based in the US, so don't let this think you can't play if you're not in the EU. I imagine most sessions will be between two and three hours, however this is up for discussion with the group. If $15 per session is outside of your price range, shoor me a message and we can maybe find something else that works.
The party currently consists of:
A Bard working in Public Relations and social fmedia, a Warlock intern hired as a favour from a friend, a Barbarian HR manager trying to keep their rage under control, and a Rogue IT expert trying to juggle magical and technical complaints.
If you'd like to play, please tell me your age, pronouns, a little about yourself, character concept, and confirm you understand this is a paid game and the hours it is taking place. This is an LGBTQ+ Friendly game.
What playrs have said about me:
"Will is an extremely talented DM. He crafts stories that are extremely fun for the player to play that also allow tons of flexibility for you to make your own choices in fun and unique ways that impact the story!"
"Will has obvious enthusiasm for the games he runs and this rubs off on the players. Even if you’re all strangers he will get you laughing together."
"Natural born storyteller with the craft and guile to guide through original and engaging creations while leaving the door open for player's to interact with the world and story freely and without the over-policing of other GM's. You will find something new, you will create moments to look back on, you will have lots of fun!"
