RPL is launching an exciting new Dungeons & Dragons episodic show and looking for talented, enthusiastic players to join our main cast! This isn't just a home game; we're creating an engaging show to be broadcast live on Twitch and later released in episode format on YouTube. Our goal is to create a fun, memorable, and interactive D&D experience for both the players and the audience. We're planning a (Home Brew) campaign using D&D 5th Edition. Who We're Looking For: We need players who aren't just skilled at D&D, but who shine on camera and bring infectious energy to the table! This is a performance as much as it is a game. Specifically, you must meet the following prerequisites:
Extensive Role-Playing Experience: You need at least 5 years of experience with tabletop role-playing games (like D&D, Pathfinder, etc.). We need players comfortable with game mechanics and deep character immersion. Comfortable & Engaging On Camera: You will be on webcam for the entire session. We need expressive players who are comfortable performing, reacting, and engaging visually. Energetic & Enthusiastic: Bring your passion! We're looking for dynamic players who contribute positively to the show's energy levels. Voice Acting / Character Commitment: You enjoy bringing characters to life! While professional-level acting isn't required, a willingness to use distinct voices and truly embody your character is essential. Team Player: You must be collaborative, reliable, and work well with the DM and fellow players to tell a great story together.
Technical Prerequisites (Non-Negotiable): Functioning Good Quality Webcam: Your video needs to be clear and well-lit. Functioning Good Quality Microphone: Clear audio is crucial. Your voice must be easily understandable without excessive background noise, static, or popping. Stable Internet Connection: Consistent connection is needed for live streaming.
The Commitment: Schedule: We will play bi-weekly. The exact day and time will be determined based on the final group's availability. Please only apply if you can reliably commit to a regular bi-weekly schedule. Platforms: Live broadcast on Twitch, with recordings edited and uploaded to YouTube. Session Length: Expect sessions to last approximately 3-4 hours. Reliability: Consistent attendance is vital for the show's narrative flow.
Project Nature:
Please note that this is currently a passion project. We are building this show for the love of D&D and content creation. There is no monetary compensation at this stage. (There is no monetary compensation at this stage. However, should the show grow significantly and begin to generate steady revenue through platforms like Twitch (subscriptions, bits) or YouTube (monetization), our goal and intention is to establish a fair payment structure or revenue-sharing model for the core cast members based on that success.)
How to Apply: If you meet all the prerequisites and are excited by this opportunity, please send us a with the following information: MUST BE 18+ Your Name / Preferred Alias Your Time Zone and general availability for a bi-weekly game. A summary of your TTRPG experience (confirming you meet the 5+ year requirement, mention systems played). Briefly describe any on-camera, streaming, or acting experience you have (if any). Why are you specifically interested in joining an on-camera D&D show like this? (Optional but Recommended): A link to a short (1-3 minute) unlisted video (e.g., YouTube, Google Drive) where you introduce yourself and perhaps briefly talk about a favorite character you've played or demonstrate a character voice. This helps us immensely!
