Game: D&D 5e (Homebrew/Campaign split up into 13 or 14 Arcs) Group type: Online (via Discord) Experience: I have 5 years of DM'ing experience Timezone: CST Schedule: Will come up with schedule with players to find the best time to play and when, but will be about 2-4 hours long each session. I will guarantee two hours. Roles sought: Looking for about 3-5 players who are interested. Game style: Combination of exploration, item retrieval, strong homebrew items, semi-heavy roleplay, and fun (lots of fun). Levels will start at level 3, then 4-10 will be the majority of the levels we will use, and levels 11-16 will be late game long. The levels may or may not change.
I am a female DM looking for players who will respect each other, and if you can answer the questionnaire I have below in as much detail as possible that would be very helpful.
What aspects of D&D do you enjoy the most?
What is your preferred role in a group (e.g., tank, healer, damage dealer)?
Have you played D&D before? If so, what did you enjoy most/least?
What are your expectations for the campaign?
To get to know you better after we establish a party, I will ask more personal questions like your name and preferred pronouns and help you build your character up from scratch! I would like you to get invested in said character due to how long we will be playing them.
I am available to answer any and all questions to the best of my ability.
What aspects of D&D do you enjoy the most? Social fun, but as a Forever DM I enjoy those moments where my players are eating the breadcrumbs I've laid out or a special cool moment that just throws me off my rhythm a bit. As a player, I try not to go for weird, wacky characters but I really enjoy the interparty dynamics and try to flesh out the relationships more than the characters themselves.
What is your preferred role in a group (e.g., tank, healer, damage dealer)? Favorite class has always been cleric, but I don't usually play a fixed role. I like to be the "thing you need when you need it."
Have you played D&D before? If so, what did you enjoy most/least? Been playing for over 6 years and DM'ing for about 5. I have a few pet peeves, but probably the worst one is a player not knowing what to do on their turn of combat when it's been over 5 minutes since their last turn. My favorite moments are just the casual moments where you're exploring downtime and see what everyone comes up with.
What are your expectations for the campaign? Looking for a lot of player cooperation. Immersion. And I really want magic items.
Hiyya! This sounds like a total blast. Would love to partake! Here's my questionnaire answers:
What aspects of D&D do you enjoy the most? The roleplay mostly! I do try and enjoy myself in every other aspect of the game, but I am mostly a fan of having those emotional RP scenes and building beautiful bonds with other players!
What is your preferred role in a group (e.g., tank, healer, damage dealer)?
I'm mostly a spellcaster main, so I focus on a mix of support/DPS. I usually also fancy a chaotic neutral character who's bringing about shenanigans and whatnot to make the game enjoyable for all the players.
Have you played D&D before? If so, what did you enjoy most/least?
Yes I have! I've played a little over a year across many campaigns and one-shots with beginners and experts alike. So I've received a ton of experience in the game, but I usually find long dragging combat as the least enjoyable. Especially if it's not really related to the story in a meaningful way, and find myself more entranced by the character-building and story aspects!
What are your expectations for the campaign? To be able to play in a table with a fairly experienced DM alongside my party, I'm hoping we get to slowly develop our characters and their deeper interpersonal relationships. I'm simply just happy to work on a narrative with one another and have cool moments we can laugh about for a long time!
With the experience I have playing with newer players, I also have made a habit of helping newer players step into the RP and giving them some spotlight!

What aspects of D&D do you enjoy the most?
I love coming up with fun characters to play, I do voices for them, so it's fun to see how bad or good it can be. Also, who doesn't love rolling the dice? that shit Is addictive
What is your preferred role in a group (e.g., tank, healer, damage dealer)?
I haven't played too long, so I don't think I have a preferred role. So far, I have played a sorcerer and a bard. I would love to try out either a barbarian or a warlock
Have you played D&D before? If so, what did you enjoy most/least?
I have! Some of my favorite moments were out of combat, like spending 30 minutes trying to decide whether our friend should turn into a cat to sneak into a house. What I love most is the balance between looking cool and having moments where you look like an utter fool. I have to pick something I least enjoy, it's probably shopping as I also dislike it in real life, but it's so nitpicky that I don't mind it anymore.
What are your expectations for the campaign?
Honestly, just to have fun and enjoy a wonderful and eventful campaign with some amazing people!
Also, I'm a much better talker than texter lol, so if we do chat, I can provide more details if you need :)
What aspects of D&D do you enjoy the most? I love me some decently balanced tactical combat with strong stakes and ties to the story and the role-playing elements of course. Roleplay is what ties all together though.
What is your preferred role in a group (e.g., tank, healer, damage dealer)? I could facilitate any role, but fighters and warlocks tend to be my jam!
Have you played D&D before? If so, what did you enjoy most/least? I've been playing dnd for 3 and half years from a players side. I enjoy the camaraderie and story telling aspects of the campaigns and I really enjoy the mechanics of combat. The least liked part of my experience so far is that campaigns or groups tend to not last long and die out within 10 or less sessions which has been disheartening. What are your expectations for the campaign?
My expectations would be for there to at least be a vtt for combats and for players (including me) to know at the least the basics of what they're characters are capapble so to avoid mechanical rule hiccups at the table to tense combats or roleplay and exploration scenarios. Like with the other fellow that's posted here I'm better with a vocal interview so my discord is Canti. Thank you for reading my post.
I really like roleplay, i like combat as well, but i like it much more when it is related to our characters so we can roleplay during combat.
What is your preferred role in a group (e.g., tank, healer, damage dealer)?
Looking to play as a druid/wizard in a campaign. So mostly damage dealer. But I'm open to play any role if other people want to be spellcasters!
Have you played D&D before? If so, what did you enjoy most/least?
I have played for 3 years. I really liked having boss battles that dealt with player characters. Either one of my allies or myself facing a villain or adversay from their backstory. On the contrary, i never like shopping in campaigns, nor do i really like roleplaying the shopping experience.
What are your expectations for the campaign?
I'm looking for a fun group that can cooperate well and can tell a good story together!
Hello! I'm Amanda, and I do have a few questions along with this form :)
1) Is this group 18+? 2) Can players roll their own physical dice? 3) What is the campaign about?
What aspects of D&D do you enjoy the most? I enjoy the social and creativity aspects of d&d. By that I mean - I enjoy the creativity of playing a character and the improv that comes with the game, but also I enjoy the social banter. I tried a group that had zero out of character banter and I disliked it; I'm not here to just play a character, I want to make friends. Having a good group that clicks is important.
What is your preferred role in a group (e.g., tank, healer, damage dealer)? Damage dealer, specifically spellcasters. I have a few subclasses I want to play for 5e - different types of druid, sorcerer, or wizard.
Have you played D&D before? If so, what did you enjoy most/least? Yes, I played with an in-person group last year, 2014 edition. Honestly, what I enjoyed most was that it was a good time with friends. This group was a little different in that no one wanted to be a full-time DM, so everyone but me switched off as DMing a one-shot. It quickly became one-shots within the same world/setting with each DM building off what others had come up with. But above all - everyone in the group got along, we had out of character banter and laughs. I liked the campaign feel, but I'd say what I enjoyed least is there weren't enough roleplay moments; it was very combat focused with a little exploration.
What are your expectations for the campaign? I'm looking for something that has a good mix of roleplay, combat, and exploration. Nothing too dark; some darkness is okay but not overwhelmingly a lot of dark plot. I need a DM and group who is patient and understanding with newer players; given I've only been playing a year and at that I've only played a dragonborn evocation wizard, there's a lot I still need to learn! As referenced above, I really want a group that clicks and we're able to have some laughs and banter. Tying in character's backstories to the game is enjoyable as well.
*Edit - forgot to add - would love to chat about the campaign; feel free to pm me if you want my discord handle.
What aspects of D&D do you enjoy the most? traditionally I have leaned toward combat but lately I have enjoyed more of the roleplay aspect, I don't do voices or anything like that and I am not great at it but that the part I am enjoying more lately
What is your preferred role in a group (e.g., tank, healer, damage dealer)? Depends on the group needs and if it will be 2014/2024, I have leaned toward martial classes in the past but lately I have been picking more casters or half casters. I would say paladin is my most played class
Have you played D&D before? If so, what did you enjoy most/least? 8+ years of 5e, several years with older editions. I like working together as a group and seeing each character shine, setting up others if possible, I would say I dislike people telling others how to play there character or what to do without that person asking for help in some way.
What are your expectations for the campaign? A fun group to hang out with and roll some dice, would be nice if it is consistent and long term. Hopefully work with other players so our characters can work well together.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions.
Hello long time player and DM seeking another long term campaign since my last one ended awhile ago!
What aspects of D&D do you enjoy the most? I love the roleplaying most. Just the idea that anything in general can happen lol. Also creating characters that don't fit within a norm is sometimes my go to. I tend to lean on the chaotic side as a player so sorry in advance lol What is your preferred role in a group (e.g., tank, healer, damage dealer)?
I'm a garbage healer so I prefer tank or dps. I usually main Barbarian or Monk but I can be pretty versatile.
Have you played D&D before? If so, what did you enjoy most/least? I've been a DM and Player for 5+ years. I lean a little more on the casual side sometimes but I do enjoy being my characters. I hate strict railroad play or people that limit how we explore the world (ex: you can't open that door). I love freedom in the world of course with story to help us stay on track What are your expectations for the campaign?
Would love to make more friends. The last campaign I was in ended, so i would love to get back into another long campaign.
Feel free to shoot me a message on here if you have any questions
What aspects of D&D do you enjoy the most? I really enjoy the social roleplay aspect, seeing how people make their characters and how all these characters come together to form their own unique party with their unique experiences and personalities all coming together for it. What is your preferred role in a group (e.g., tank, healer, damage dealer)? I enjoy any role but typically damage dealer is my most enjoyed, but I tend to be pretty flexible when needed to ensure things run smoothly! Have you played D&D before? If so, what did you enjoy most/least? I have played & enjoyed multiple D&D sessions prior to this, my least favorite part I guess would the committal just because I had unfortunately had schedule issues with work during said campaigns. My most enjoyed part is the comforting feeling of everyone being there with the same goal but at the same time doing their own thing, all working together to make the campaign better in their own way. What are your expectations for the campaign? A fun, safe place to enjoy a game and make new friends, while enjoying a good story and intriguing world and characters together!
Any additional questions can be asked here or at my discord: naobiluv . I appreciate you taking the time to read this and look forward to the potential response!!
What aspects of D&D do you enjoy the most? Roleplaying is top tier for me, i'm an artist so i find a lot of inspiration and creative drive from the imagery painted between interactions. Personal character growth, and making friends along the way make this game very special to me! What is your preferred role in a group (e.g., tank, healer, damage dealer)? I don't have a preference, but i've played most of them! I would like to shift gears and play healer full time on character though :> Have you played D&D before? If so, what did you enjoy most/least? I've been an avid player since 2020 but had a break for about 3 years since 2022! I'm a little rusty but i definitely want to get back out there. I really enjoy meeting new people, making connections through long-term campaigns and having little inside jokes. Every campaign i've been in, ive drawn so many little doodles cataloguing our adventures. it's very sweet to me and it brings the group together imo! On the flipside, the timing issues always bum me out but not everyone can have a linear schedule What are your expectations for the campaign? An experience that i won't forget >: ) seriously though, I am a very free-form person. I just want to find a reason to look forward to whatever day we settle to play on, i love a good story and to see my passion reflected by my fellow party members. I suppose i expect having a solid sense of unity? It means a lot to me that the group is respectful, considerate and friendly to lgbt+ people, no excessive edgyness or crudeness involved. D&D to me has always been about taking the edge off of a hard week by stepping into my character's shoes and sharing an experience with others! Shoot me a DM for my discord @ and i will get back to you as soon as possible if you're interested. Thank you for the chance !
Roleplay and exploration. I still, of course, like combat but just like the other two a bit more. I love improv, it's my favorite thing. I am usually a strong role player because of that.
What is your preferred role in a group (e.g., tank, healer, damage dealer)?
Usually like to be a more damage dealer but am chill with trying out anything long as it works with the group. I really like wizards but I don't mind doing other classes of course. I really enjoyed a rogue I played once too. I didn't really love playing a cleric the time I tried it but did like being a bard. Just whatever works well with the group. I'd rather fill a need than go with just my favorite if it doesn't fit the party well.
Have you played D&D before? If so, what did you enjoy most/least?
I started playing dnd in 2021 as a dm. I have been a player a few times. I usually dm but have I really enjoy exploring my character and their relationships with others and the story. I do like combat. Get a little stir crazy if we go to long with out it (by too long I mean multiple sessions). I do love me a good dungeon crawl. I don't like hours of shopping. I don't mind down time just hours of shopping kills me inside bit. I also don't like campaigns where the sessions are almost entirely random encounters with no meaning.
What are your expectations for the campaign?
Something with a bit of story and direction. I like something I can get invested in and learn the lore of. And in general just a good respectful group.
Hey, this sound like a lot of fun, and id be interested, if it was during weekends, on a Sat or something
What aspects of D&D do you enjoy the most? Making characters, coming up with backstories. I have a bunch of character i've made, and nowhere to play them. Exploring worlds and meeting new people, having fun.
What is your preferred role in a group (e.g., tank, healer, damage dealer)? I've only played melee characters so far in my campaigns, but there are some magic or hybrid classes that id love to try playing. im pretty open, honestly.
Have you played D&D before? If so, what did you enjoy most/least? i have a couple years experience of actual playing, one in person campaign (my first experience playing tabletop), and one online campaign (currently ongoing). I'm still getting into the whole 'roleplaying' aspect of it though. I'm generally a pretty quiet dude. Still working on that, and i find it a bit more awkward online when people end up trying to talk all at the same time, but I love playing and want to get better.
What are your expectations for the campaign? Meet people, have fun. Roll some dice, tell some stories.
What aspects of D&D do you enjoy the most? I love the adventure. The chance to be one of the heroes I read about, and help save innocents from the evils that threaten them. I also like exploring and finding new things.
What is your preferred role in a group (e.g., tank, healer, damage dealer)? I tend to play support. It really depends on seeing what the other Players want to play and then filling in to help out. My favorite Classes are Paladin and Beastmaster Ranger.
Have you played D&D before? If so, what did you enjoy most/least? I have been playing and running D&D since the 1980s. I kind of explained what I like most in question 1. In addition, I do enjoy the idea of making new friends, and playing with them. The camaraderie and friendship.
What are your expectations for the campaign? I would like to help people in game... to play as part of a team... to explore a new world and discover neat magical items and lore, fight monsters and villains, and to make some new friends. To play D&D and have fun.
This sounds like a really great game. I'm most interested in joining something that I know is built to go on for some time. I hope we get a chance to chat more about it. If you want you can find me on discord @lasertrees
What aspects of D&D do you enjoy the most?
Stepping into a fantasy. It's wonderful to be able to embody a character and embrace the group and story through that unique lens. You can be whoever you want to be, you explore interesting ideas, and solve fun problems, you meet new people and form great bonds. I know all of this sounds cliche, but it's also true. Being able to create a living breathing story is just the best.
What is your preferred role in a group (e.g., tank, healer, damage dealer)?
In general, I often choose what the groups needs most. A well rounded group with some variety is always more interesting to me than worrying about which character I'll get to play. I have several characters in mind and would be thrilled to play any of them. But more specifically characters I'd like to play, for damage I'd bring Adoran, a roguish bard from the college of lore Or for a healer I have a gentle firbolg druid named Hemlocke. There's also a Tabaxi Monk called Rollo.
Have you played D&D before? If so, what did you enjoy most/least?
I've played a little. But I've actually been spending most of my time working on a massive home-brew project. Creating a world and filling it with stories and making it feel lived in has been the best parts.
What are your expectations for the campaign?
This is more of a personality thing, but I don't have any. It's sort of a rule of thumb. I'm neurodivergent so I'm generally fairly even tempered. But I generally try not to get my hopes up or to build something up. I like to just let things unfold and be what they will be. I just want to form an awesome party. I think as long as the group is solid, the story will be what we make of it. Lean in and have fun.
What aspects of D&D do you enjoy the most? Mainly experiencing the kinds of stories players and DMs come up with. Especially if they mix in official modules.
What is your preferred role in a group (e.g., tank, healer, damage dealer)? No preference.
Have you played D&D before? If so, what did you enjoy most/least?
Played 2014 5E for around 3-4 years and less than a few months with 2024. What I enjoy the least about the game is it's playerbase and how there are a notable amount of bad apples.
What are your expectations for the campaign?
As someone who has been looking for a long term campaign for some time, I'm hoping for a wild journey with the party experiencing it's ups and downs.
Thanks for the post! I hope your game goes well and you can tell a story that moves hearts and captivates minds.
What aspects of D&D do you enjoy the most?
I enjoy the story telling aspect. I have DM'd for years and always enjoyed world building and letting the players tell the story with me. My favorite experience was when I ran a campaign at level 0. The PCs focused on telling their story and how it intertwined in the larger world. To me, D&D is an emotional adventure into a world of friendship, struggles, and triumph.
What is your preferred role in a group (e.g., tank, healer, damage dealer)?
Happy to play any role. I typically play wizard as I enjoy having many unique and thoughtful ways to handle any situation put in front of me.
Have you played D&D before? If so, what did you enjoy most/least?
Many times. I enjoy storytelling and PC/team growth and development over time. I struggle when things are railroaded and it begins to feel like a scripted video game hopping from objective to objective rather than "living" the story.
What are your expectations for the campaign?
I typically have low expectation. I like the campaign to come naturally and get to a flowstate of connection and storytelling together. A team that can work together with respect and allow each individual to play the game they want without. Big fan of the "rule of cool"

I tend to lean on the chaotic side as a player so sorry in advance lol
What is your preferred role in a group (e.g., tank, healer, damage dealer)?
I'm a garbage healer so I prefer tank or dps. I usually main Barbarian or Monk but I can be pretty versatile.
Have you played D&D before? If so, what did you enjoy most/least?
I've been a DM and Player for 5+ years. I lean a little more on the casual side sometimes but I do enjoy being my characters. I hate strict railroad play or people that limit how we explore the world (ex: you can't open that door). I love freedom in the world of course with story to help us stay on track
What are your expectations for the campaign?
Howdy ! Looking for a campaign :D
I would like to shift gears and play healer full time on character though :>
Have you played D&D before? If so, what did you enjoy most/least?
I've been an avid player since 2020 but had a break for about 3 years since 2022! I'm a little rusty but i definitely want to get back out there. I really enjoy meeting new people, making connections through long-term campaigns and having little inside jokes. Every campaign i've been in, ive drawn so many little doodles cataloguing our adventures. it's very sweet to me and it brings the group together imo! On the flipside, the timing issues always bum me out but not everyone can have a linear schedule
What are your expectations for the campaign?
What aspects of D&D do you enjoy the most?
My discord is maple_fish
Roll some dice, tell some stories.
discord is talastoria
cheers!
Hey there!
Lean in and have fun.
drop me a line if you've got any questions,
best
