Heya folks! My name is Matt and I have been running D&D groups since the late 80s. I am running multiple games, and am hoping to fill out the seats for some of the them. My rate is $20 USD per player per session, paid through Start Playing (my bio page:https://startplaying.games/gm/mpprpg). 18+ please, LGBTQ+ friendly, and it doesn’t matter if you have never played or are an old vet like me – would love to have to join! :)
Check out the comments for the games that I am recruiting for!
Still seats available! Come join us as the adventure has just started! And, I just updated the map, no less!
The characters have been rolled up and introduced to the city of Pitseer, famed for the cragrock pine lumber trade, the Night of Soulstars festival, and its enigmatic ruler, the Countess Derz-Rith-Umanith, a massive female humanoid with a shaved head that stands at 10 feet tall and is as chiseled as the mines in the Betwer Ridges.
The party received an invitation from Grandmaster Thorn Von Millstone, a baker extraordinaire with a love of family lineage. Over dinner (and some exquisite pastries) he explained that he has been fascinated with tracing his family lineage, and thus far has tracked it back before even the settling of Deepsink, the oldest city on the continent. After that, however, the trail just seems to have… disappeared.
And here is where it gets… odd. A strange, traveling sage visited and told him that his family line first started out in The Dimlands.
The Dimlands? The southern continent? It has been shrouded in mystery for generations; thousands have tried exploring its wilds, but only a handful have ever returned. Nevertheless, this sage pointed to Millstone’s family heirloom, a small, simple metal necklace, and told him that his answers lay to the far south.
The sage also gave Millstone a list of names; people that, according to the sage, “were the key to unlocking the secrets that have been jailed for too long.” Millstone reviewed the names; he did not recognize any of them, but when he looked up to ask, the sage had abruptly left.
(Side note: the lands of Corhyme are rumored to have invisible “seams” that, when fallen into can result in a person’s disappearance for hours, days, or months; fortunately no harm comes to the person, so it is (normally) an aggravating annoyance more than a serious threat. Also makes for a handy excuse when arriving late to a dinner.)
But, something in the sage’s voice rang true, and so Millstone sent out invitations to the names on the list. The player’s characters were the first to respond.
Grandmaster offered the party a small salary, travel expenses, and an equal share of whatever goods they discover in their travels. The group accepted and set about their first order of business: asking Professor Sarri Waxxitzar to join them as an advisor; the female red dragonborn is an expert on the Dimlands, and one of the very few who have traveled there and returned.
Arriving at her office and at the city’s creatively named College of History, they found it being ransacked by three human men, demanding to know where the professor was. The players were about to answer calmly with a fist when the session came to a close.
Game: D&D 5e (2014) Group type: Online Experience: Veteran DM Location/Timezone: New York / Eastern Time Schedule: Saturday 1 PM EDT start time; sessions will last about 3-3.5 hours Roles sought: Up to 4 new players, joining 2 existing ones, who enjoy long-term campaigns of world exploration and adventure. Game style: Skill use and roleplay are just as important as combat ability; RAW is my baseline but I make exceptions for really clever ideas
Campaign: Currently, the players are level 2 and are about to embark on a trip to the northern iron mines to find a famed halfing blacksmith, named mouse. They have already found Professor Sarri, expert on the Dimlands and recovering gambling addict, and came to an agreement with the 3rd Ward Walkers to let her leave the city.
What was your reason for accepting the invitation from Grandmaster Millstone? The family is in debt? Are you running from a powerful enemy? You just yearn for adventure out in the world? Whatever your reasons, they were strong enough for you to accept a sudden invitation to meet with Grandmaster Thorn Van Millstone about “...a prime opportunity to earn fame, fortune, or friendship, depending on your tastes.”
In this campaign the party will be working on the behalf of this new benefactor as he prepares for an expedition into the legendary Southern Continent, a.k.a The Dimlands, where many have travelled but very few have returned. In preparation, he’ll need you to travel to a variety of places, to gather very specific supplies for the journey. Explore the venerable city of Deepsink, the oldest known still-standing city on the continent of Corhyme, as well as venturing out to the famed “Strangements,” such as the magically-devastated Crater Plains, the explosive-gelatin waters of the Nastolt Sea, and even under the lifeless stretch of land known as Ashsoil.
When the journey into the wilds of the Southern Continent finally happens, not only may you discover the ancient secret that guards the lands, but also the true reason for your invitation in the first place.

We’ll get your character set up ahead of the session so when game time starts you’ll be ready to jump in; we’ll get your character created, determine your backstory, and set expectations and limits on content (lines, veils, etc.). You can use digital dice or roll physical ones (we use the honor system).

Congratulations!
Your application to work at the prestigious and world-renown Candlekeep Library has been reviewed and our esteemed council of highly-regarded, well-trained, and only briefly incarcerated staffing experts have approved you for the role of Avowed Adjunct Assistant Associate Class IV (Probationary). Well done!
The full orientation will happen upon your arrival, but there some absolute critical rules you should know from the start:
1) All books are not allowed to leave Candlekeep without express written permission.
2) You, however, may at times be assigned to leave Candlekeep to retrieve late books, late fees, or late arrivals.
3) Never – EVER – enter Tower XXIV after sundown.
We look forward to your upcoming start date! Please disregard any rumors you may have heard that your admittance is solely because the senior management are desperately scrambling to staff the place after the sudden mass disappearance of the Junior ranks of the Avowed.
Welcome aboard, and get ready for an unparalleled learning experience!

In this campaign, you and your party are coming in as the newest members of Candlekeep, after some “problems” with the last batch of interns. Perhaps you have applied because your family needs the money, or perhaps because you have longed to read the mysterious tomes locked away within Candlekeep, or maybe you are hiding from someone (or something). Whatever the case, Candlekeep will be your new home for a long time. Fortunately, there are a great many things to keep you occupied during your extended stay.
