I am Dal. I'm 28 and really into fantasy. I'm a new DM looking to run some one shots with a group then a long term campaign if everyone is feeling it. (The long-term campaigns I'm looking to run are Curse of Strahd or possibly The Wild Beyond the Witchlight.) The games will be run over discord. I currently already have two players. We're looking to have 1 to 2 more people join us. (Games will be 60-70% Roleplay, 30-40% Encounters.) Maps will be done on Roll20. We're looking to run our first one shot sometime around June 13th.
Game: D&D 5e Group type: Online Experience: New Timezone: (UTC-05:00) EST (US/Canada) Schedule: Fridays, 930pm-10pm start time.

My name is Adrian and I'm 23. I've only played one campaign as a warlock, so my preferences are still vague. I do love my warlocks, sorcerers, and rogues! I'd like to think I play a variety of character personality types, so whatever can add to the story is what I'll go for. I would love to find a fun group of people who are immersive and willing to get into the game for the storytelling fun. That is one regret I had from the first time I played: I didn't get as immersed in the story as I would have liked. And of course, some good laughs and fun times with the group are always a plus. Let me know if there is room still, I'd love to join!
Hello I’m John,32 still pretty new to dnd with most of my experience coming from things like Baldurs Gate & open groups at cons.
What kinds of characters you like to play? I like to play whatever fits with the team or story but I have an affinity for Magic based things in most media genres but I’m open to pretty much anything really.
What you're looking for in a group?
A group ok with me still learning & wanting to engage more in the space.
Hi! I'm Sabina (she/her) and are 25 years old, i have only played a one shot before but have watched some online campaigns, LARPed a bit before aswell as play baldurs gate 3. I love story/roleplay driven and focus on having fun more than optimizing the greatest build for most damage and to be honest who even likes killing the BBEG in one turn?
I don't usually play very magic heavy characters, i have enjoyed playing ranger/rogue type characters but also enjoy being playing "the mom" esque cleric/paladin. The type of group I'm looking for is people who is open, are it it for the ride and having a good time.
Hi there ! Who you are? I'm Mel, I'm a 26 yo social worker in dire need of escape, so this offer sounds lovely ! I've played two long term DND 5e campaigns with friends for over a year, I have DMed my own DND with another group and also fell into the Baldur's gate frenzy. Even though I'm now a social worker, I started college in arts and theatre (but decided to put my traumas to good use in social work instead lol), and I've won a few improv tournament cups in college. I also host a roast puppet podcast (it is as chaotic as it sounds), but it's in french, my mother tongue, honhon (I'm from Quebec:)
What kinds of characters you like to play?
All of 'em. But I love being an oddly intimidating but comforting druid or ranger (I am Halsin, Halsin is me), but I'm also fond of barbarians. In my last campaigns, I was a huge panda ranger (picture Gohin in Beastar lol) and the other one I was a barbarian minotaur. But I love to play anything, I like a balanced group, so I don't mind adapting
What you're looking for in a group? Building a story together and immersive roleplay where people don't shy away from giving their characters a voice ;) I love watching the CriticalRole crew get lost in a scene, kinda craving the same atm, but DND is so fun to play in general, I'm not a die hard theater kid hellbent on performing lol
Hi Im Jack (he/him), Im a 23 year old waiter who just wrapped up a 4 year campaign that I was DMing (we all graduated and moved away). I've been playing DND since 2016 and absolutly love BG3. I did research at my college studying food science and currently waiting tables while applying for other jobs. Im a huge magic the gathering nerd and a pretty good chef too. (btw favorite dish I made was a Santa Maria style beef heart with a bell pepper pico and horseradish sour cream).
What kinds of characters you like to play?i
The characters I play normally have light hearted outsides, but I give them a reason so they have some complexity (ex: comic relief with sad backstory or golden retriver guard dog with a little brother who always got into trouble). I really love to work with the other players and the DM to interconnect my character into the world so it doesnt feel like the character was randomly dropped into the world. I have a habit of min maxing my characters, but I make sure there's a flaw that compliments what I'm good at (ex: shapeshifter thats great at impersonating people, but had my memory wiped, so I had no knowledge of the customs and cultures, making me look like a sore thumb in certain social situations). Mechanics wise, I love warlocks and fighters since they are super flexable with the way you can play them and flavor them, but I'll play any role that a table doesnt have... it might just be a weird way of getting there (ex: healer - celestial warlock that uses darkness to hide allies who need cover)
What you're looking for in a group?
Im looking for a group that wants to tell a good story. Ideally a group that works together to tell a story using the other characters as ways to bring out the most interesting situations (ex: memory wipe character becomes best friends with a warforged who also has no memory since he was born yesterday). Hopefully a group that'll make it easy to come out of my shell since I can be a bit shy sometimes (Granted I play because it makes me more outgoing). Honestly, as long as yall like to play DND youre good in my book.
