Hello! I am a member of the all-staff committee at a large performing arts center in Austin, TX. I have started an initiative to get a DnD game going at work as part of our all staff perks, since we have more than a few DnD fans in the workplace. I am looking for a dungeon master for this game, and we would like to pay the DM out of our all-staff budget. This will be some peoples first ever game of DND but some of us have played before. We are only looking to run one single game at this point, but if everything goes well we can hopefully make it a more regular thing (once per month or once every two months.)
Game: D&D 5e Group type: Face-to-face Experience: New Location/Timezone: Austin, TX Schedule: One single game toward the end of June/Beginning of July Roles sought: DM (more than one if you need more help!) Game style: Complete casual, since it's a new game for people in the workplace and some have never played DnD before (although many of us have!)
Who are we?
- 6 to 8 player game
- Likely one single adventure module, over the course of a single afternoon/evening
- Mix of DnD veterans and complete beginners (this will be some players first ever game) in a workplace setting
-All theater people and performing arts people, so the characterization and drama may be strong
-Willing to pay a more than fair rate for someone to DM our 6 to 8 hour game, even if the campaign doesn't finish. Pricing is negotiable
Who are You?
- Someone with experience DMing other games, with a good knowledge of game systems but more importantly is good at talking to people
-Someone willing to DM a game in person for at least 6 hours
-Someone who is willing to put in a little bit of effort in terms of maps, figures, etc. (this isn't required but is preferred)
-Someone who is easygoing and interested in helping newer players learn the systems without being too overbearing about it
-Someone who has ever thought about (or who already does) DM professionally/for payment
Please respond here or email me directly if this sounds like something you'd be interested in! areindl@texasperformingarts.org
